  1. When planning my wedding I ordered a ton of ribbon from an Ebay seller, loop-dee-loop. This morning I received this email... WE ARE HAVING A SALE!!! NOT JUST ANY SALE EITHER. This will be the biggest sale loop-dee-loop has ever had. Remember, these are sale prices. Most of these are at cost or below cost. We are having an inventory reduction. Just like the BIG STORES!!! This is so cool. Anyway, we have two large shipments coming in soon. We are literally out of everything. It is so embarrassing. So, times are tough and so are we! To make up for it, here is "ONE HELL OF A SALE" Please understand that if it is on our shelves, it is yours. We answer emails and place orders. We will only charge the exact shipping price from us to you, so make sure your full address is in your email request. We will send you an invoice with shipping. If it fits in a flat rate box, USPS is only $9.85. I can usuallyget a lot of ribbon inoe of those. This Sale begins today June 9th and Ends on June 19th or when we are completely out of everything. Please don't email us asking for this sale price later on down the road. This is a one time sale to make room for new inventory. I sound like a car dealership. THE TAX MAN COMETH! HA HA No IOUs or tabs (we hve some great customers who somtimes order a little too much but need their ribbon) __________________________________________________ _________ Due to the overwhelming responses we are having, i going to have to ask for customers to fill out order forms. I am attaching the order form to this email. Please fill it out. You will need to delete the items you do not wish to order. On the form that you return, please only have the items you wish to order. We will send you a paypal invoice for what is on your order that we have available. we will wrap it up and only charge you ACTUAL shipping prices. This has nothing to do with our eBay store or our website. this is JUST an inventory reduction. For those of you who have been so considerate, thank you so much. For those of you who understand exactly what kind of deal you are getting, thank you! I have been working all night, and all day trying to get to emails and packing the ribbon and creating order forms. This is not worth all of the work. We are selling the ribbon below cost. Please only respond with a proper order form. thank you. Here is the price list and inventory list. (attached) *i merged the two excel documents to save on people's points for downloading. The email address is [email protected] I had EXCELLENT service from them, and wish I would have received prices like this... I thought I'd share! loopdeeloop.xls

  3. I don't think you have to spend a lot of money for great pics! Here are some free ideas, when I did mine my fav. shots were the ones that actually cost the least, simply because they weren't so 'costumey' *satin sheet shots - maybe pull a satin sheet from your linen closet (wish I did this) *I used (which cannot be shared sorry) one of my DH's shirts from his store with his logo on it, rolled short with little cute panties that matched they cost only a few dollars *wear your own jeans -- the ones that make you feel fantastic, no shirt - and strategically place your arms, I did this with a really BOLD necklace that I'd borrowed from a girlfriend. *if possible, based on location, bathtub shots are wayyy sexy -- lots of bubbles, wear your bathing suit (for personal modesty), no one would be the wiser *borrow something from your FI's closet, necktie, dress shirt, team jersey, I snuk his old highschool leather letter jacket from his hockey team, and took a puck from his hockey bag as a prop he was stunned at the thought process. That could be your whole shoot... on a zero budget! Have a great time, and if you are gonna spend any money on this ..... HAIR AND MAKEUP!!!!! that is my $0.02!
  4. Great Review!!! Congrats!!! Can't wait to see the pictures!!
  5. I like the quote, if you can reach the bar, you can drink... At our wedding, my nephew (11) was at the bar, for a non-alcoholic daquari, he saw that his dad's beer was empty and requested a beer (no mention that it wasn't for him)... and the bartender provided it, you should have seen the look on his dad's face, when his son said... "here Dad, I got this for you".. Your cousin will be FINE... No worries!
  6. Here Katy... these are some of my inspiration pics! and from our wedding: I don't think it is what you are looking for... but it may help!
  7. muahahahahah... that is too funny!
  8. I never travel without one. Some resorts offer 110V plugs... but I would never chance it, b/c chancing it, means that i can't recharge my camera.
  9. ---- What do you think is the most important budget item for a DW? MOST IMPORTANT... hands down... PHOTOGRAPHY!!!!!! ----- What was the biggest budget item for a DW? Biggest budget item - entertainment, reception for our guests.
  10. These responses are fascinating... keep them coming!
  11. On another board where I am active (wedding bells), the Canadian DW brides were talking about how we choose vacations/destinations for our guests. When you chose your location, (choose which suits your situation best): 1. You went on a site visit. 2. You had you already been there (you knew it would be perfect) 3. You wish you'd done a site visit 4. You consulted with your TA and/or Trip Advisor (or another travel review engine) I am just curious....
  12. Wow... it amazes me that she can put a price tag on doing such a favour... I'd ask her ... why $75.00 then giggle that the document is priceless to you! as it allows you to marry your FI!
  13. good luck alyssa. this business venture is very timely given the current economy.
  14. Carly, Vikki, and Christine, your advice speaks volumes. I too believe it is not our place to judge our friends, or make assumptions about thier bank accounts. I do agree though that what your friend did was pretty $h"tt*.... being that you had already purchased and paid for the bridesmaid dresses. It is nice that you have found a stand in replacement (however I don't really think that was necessary - as the sides don't really have to be balanced) to fill the shoes of your friend that cannot be there. However, I do not think that this is cause for dissolving a life long friendship. Yes, you are upset now... but in time as things cool off -- you may be seeking your BFF once again. Trust me from experience. Sometimes doing/saying things in haste, is exactly that; hasty. Best of luck.
  15. we were married on January 28.... over four months ago, and I have yet to receive my certificate.....
  16. Those are great! I love the idea of doing wet photos.... definately one for future reference! Awesome shots!!!! He's gonna FLIP!

Meaning, did you decide that they 'couldn't afford' or 'couldn't get vacation time'. Fundamentally this is the ettiquette issue -- it is not our place as brides/grooms to decide who can/can't go to a DW. I know that the split here is about 50/50 - but I think we need to take into consideration our guests, and thier perception of us, especially post wedding.
  18. WOW.... What a great candid review. I agree with previous posts and love the comparison shots. I would also echo another previous post, maybe you should consider having the album professionally done. A professional will be able to edit, crop, zoom, and make use of the photos that you have. Remember: "Experience is the best teacher, but the tuition is high."
