  1. I paid for my 2nd set of bridesmaids dresses. They originally paid for the blue/teal ones themselves. When my best friend (a new mom) admitted that she wouldn't fit in the original dress. I felt badly that they would need 2 dresses, so I bought the second ones. I really think anything goes on this subject, DW or not. But if you buy for one BM, you buy for them all...
  2. Great news Kelly!!!! When do we get to see some pics of the new digs!!??!!
  3. Awesome idea Virg! When I first read the title I thought... uh oh... Virg has gone off the deep end... but this is a really great idea -- and it will give you time to chit chat with everyone! Awesome!
  4. I dunno, in a way it is a little 'superbitchy' but... what else can you do.... What you can do is this... Call MIL, say I will prepare space for 8 or 10 of the non-RSVP'ers. Please encourage your family to call me to RSVP, to ensure that seating is available, otherwise we will not have enough chairs -- if she says prepare for all of them, ask if she is willing to subsidize the cost. Be blunt.
  5. Congrats MarieSam!!!! we are all thinkin bout ya!
  6. Good Job.... If I can make a constructive criticism, using all script fonts is very difficult to read, consider limiting the number of script fonts, especially in the body of text.

  9. So... I submitted Chad and I to Weddingbells -- a Canadian Magazine, to be considered for their real weddings!!! Today I received the following! Quote: Hi Amy and Chad, Thanks for your interest in our Real Weddings section! We'd love to feature your wedding online, which will be included in our weekly e-newsletter (deposited to approximately 50,000 Canadian brides), our main homepage for a week and archived into our real weddings section for one year. We’ve attached a questionnaire to be filled out and submitted to us within the next week. In the meantime, if you could send us your photographer’s contact information – email and phone number so that we could forward them the release form that’d be great. Thanks so much! A YAY... that is so cool... I was having wedding withdrawals, and now this!!! YAY!!!!!

Here is how it went down... on Tuesday Jan 27th (DH's 30th Bday) after our rehersal dinner I gave him a small box, containing a key. Immeadiately after I left and retired to my brother's suite for the night, as DH and I were not staying together the night before the wedding. The next day at 12;30 my sister's boyfriend made his way over to our suite with a box custom made by my dad - it was locked. As I have heard, DH's reaction was a little slow - until the idea of the key kicked in. He then ran and got the key and opened the wood case. He says that when he opened the book he started to laugh and leaf through the pages - it wasn't until he got to page 3 that he looked up and said "wholy *eff! IT'S AMARILLIS!" The photographer has a ton of great pics! I just realized I never posted the pics!!!!!!! the photos were done by Lisa Mark Photography.... Toronto Wedding Photographer - Lisa Mark Photography

When I ordered the BD book, the customs tag had the project valued at only $20 -- and it was produced in the US... thus no duty (actual price paid for project was around $60US, so, plus exchange) 2. when I ordered the 8 photobooks for parents/wedding party/us, i placed each order individually, instead of having them bundled together, all books came in valued at $20 -- and it was produced in the US... thus no duty (actual price paid for project was around $90US, so, plus exchange) 3. I purchased coupon codes for shutterfly from an EBAY seller. for @$20 I bought 7 codes that saved me $20 on each project, but the catch was you could only use one code at a time, thus... 7 different orders.. that in the end as per #2, saved me the duty! The quality of thier photo books is fantastic and I highly recommend them... PS> I still have some coupon codes that I won't be using if anyone is interested. I'll post the link!
  20. Great dress... At the next fitting -- I bet she shortens the straps a wee bit to get that empire waist line up under 'the girls' ... you look freakin fantastic... no swelling as far as i can tell!
