  1. The dresses are style #F12892 from David's Bridal, they come in Azalea (the color I chose) yellow, pool, and clover. They are actually on sale for 79.99 on the website. I believe they are discontinuing this style, so I am not sure if they will still have them in stores. I got mine in the store around April/May. It is a very cute style and a dress that can actually be worn for an event outside of the wedding.
  2. I got the welcome bags off Wedding Favors - Wedding Accessories - Wedding Party Gifts, they were very reasonable in price and a nice alternative to the traditional beach bag.
  3. Here are some links for the Menu's, Ceremony Programs and Welcome Brochures. I think I got most of them from templates on here. menu.ppt welcomebrochure.ppt wedding program.doc
  4. Welcome Bag and Welcome Letter: Welome Bag Contents: Travel Mug by discountmugs.com Candle After Sun Balm Lip/Eye Sunblock SPF 30 Key Card Holder Aches and Pains kit with advil, immodium, antibacterial hand gel, off wipes, shout wipes, band-aids Ceremony Program I think thats it for now!
  5. Bouquet Boutionnieres Reception Table Decorations Guestbook- I made a photobook on Photoworks and am having guests write their wishes for us in the book Cake Inspiration- I don't think the Riu gets really fancy with the cakes, so all I am expecting is a white cake and I am bringing white and fuschia orchids with to add to the cake and my own topper. Cake topper Cake Knife Set Menus Sand Ceremony Set with colored sand, I used moonglowcandles.net
  6. I want to thank everyone on this site for sharing all of their great ideas and information. This has been a tremendous help in planning our wedding. Most of my planning came from "borrowing" ideas on BDW. Because of all of you our wedding will be fantastic! 7. I have looked through numerous posts on photoshare sites and I have a few questions for anyone who has used Snapfish. I have created a group room in Snapfish and have also created a website link for our guests. My question is will the guests be able to create their own accounts and view my group account, or do I also have to give them my account(e-mail) and my password in order for them to view the group room? Thank You
  8. It looks like you had a great time a received a lot of special gifts!
  9. We invited 80 guests and there are 39 who are attending. We really only expected about 25 people, but a few more decided to attend, which is great.
  10. Thanks for posting, this was very helpful. I never thought of using a brad to attach the flowers.
  11. I have had a similiar problem with discountmugs, however they are not going to replace the mugs for me, which I think is a bunch of crap. Each mug has a different size of imprint area, which I neglected to pay attention to. It happens to be the mug that I selected has an imprint area of h-1" w-2", but since my logo is square it looks really small and some of the writing you can barely read. So for future brides, my advice is to play close attention to the product ordered and the size of your design. I was really disappointed because I felt that someone in their "design team" should recognize when something doesn't look right and notify the client. I still plan on giving my mugs, but am extremely disappointed with the product after paying that much money for something, but it is partially my fault for not paying closer attention to the fine print.
  12. Thanks to all of the great ideas on BDW I have finished my pre-travel brochure and luggage tags. For the luggage tags I just printed them out on business cards and put them in badge holders. I also created a ticked jacket to put the brochure and luggage tags in.
  13. For my pre-travel brochures I put an intro./thank you page, what to expect when they arrive in Mexico page, what to do before you go ie: credit cards, cell phones, they shouldn't need to convert dollars to pesos page, a page about the local info. like weather, time, etc, a page about travel info. like passports, luggage info. and a page with items not to forget. I also think it depends if you plan on also doing a brochure or newsletter when you arrive in Mexico as well. Because if you only plan on doing one, you may want to include info. for wedding day timeline, any group activities, etc.
  14. I don't think it should be a problem. I am getting married at the Riu Santa Fe and they know I will be having a separate photographer besides the resorts, they just requested that I pay the day pass, which I have no problem with. Seeing as the person you want to photograph your wedding is staying at the resort, it shouldn't be a problem at all.
  15. I am a Cabo Bride! We are getting married January 10, 2009 at the Riu Santa Fe.
  16. If you do a search on ebay for id badge holders you can find the ones with a ziplock top that you are looking for and they are pretty reasonable priced in comparison to office stores.
  17. Your pictures are amazing!!! I love the TTD. What beach did you use for that?
  18. I plan on cutting a small notch in the stick and then hot glueing the cardstock in the notch. I think it should work, I haven't tried it yet
  19. Here is a template for a paddle style fan. I am actually using a bamboo stick instead of a craft stick to attach the program to. template-paddle.doc
  20. I think that sounds very reasonable. You have to keep in mind with a destination wedding that not everyone will be able to attend for financial, personal or other reasons. But I would be sure that your closest friends and family members are ok with this number and then just go with it.
  21. Everything looks fabulous for your big day!! congrats
  22. If you go to OfficeMax or Office Depot ask for ID badge holders or they usually have them in the same vicinity as the name tags. The ones I purchased were manufactured by ACCO, you can either purchase the vertical or horizontal aligned versions.
  23. I just created my own based upon those that I found by searching. I plan on having pictures taken of each of the guests during our vacation to place in the guestbooks where it says photo, instead of having them draw a picture. Here is a word file of my creation. guestbook pages.doc
