  1. I like #2 on you best. #1 is okay, just a little boring compared to the second. So, I vote #2, you look happiest in it.
  2. You look so happy! I'm glad everything still worked out anyway!

Welcome! I'm sure you'll get your questions answered here!
  6. That's a really cute idea! I'm sure he'll love it.
  7. My starfish bouquet jewel. It’s very sparkly! Bouquet Jewels - Unique Bouquets for Unique Brides I’m also having the florist make some plumeria leis for all of our guests. They should look something like this: Guestbook: I admit I stole this from Carly. What can I say? I love this idea! I got the book from Ten Thousand Villages. We’re going to use this at our AHR as well. Handmade Leaf & Bamboo Journal from Indonesia || Fair Trade Handicrafts from Ten Thousand Villages Beach: We’re going to be married on the south shore of Kauai, on Shipwreck Beach. Gifts: BD book: I had some BD pics taken last month, and I was so nervous prior. My photographer, Tara, was great and she helped me relax. Her are some of the pics: tara miesner photography ::: {Modern. Fresh. Fun} Necklaces: Early on in the planning, I made these very simple necklaces for my mom and my FMIL. Now, my FMIL isn’t going to be going to the wedding (health reasons) but I still plan to give her the necklace before we go. OOT: We decided not to give OOT bags to our guests. We’re only having 6 guests, and everyone is staying in a different place. We’re giving everyone leis right before the wedding (see above), and for the women sarongs, and the men, cigars. We bought the cigars here in town, but I’ll wait to get the sarongs on the island. I think that’s all. We leave tomorrow! Thanks to everyone on the forum for being so creative and supportive!
  8. I already had the jewely. The pearls were a gift from years ago and I got the necklace from Overstock.com about 2 years ago—it was a promotion where I only had to pay shipping ($2.95). I’m getting orchids or plumeria (I haven’t decided which yet) from the florist who is doing my bouquet. But, in case that didn’t work out, I have a backup hair flower from Etsy seller starzselection. starzselection on Etsy - Starz Selection Hair inspiration Up, or down? I still haven’t decided! My DIY iron-on bride tank and hoodie. I got the iron-ons at Michaels (only $1!) and the clothing at Old Navy. FI’s Attire: We got FI’s shirt from the Buckle, and his pants from Von Maur. He already owned the flip flops. Sorry no pic of the pants or flip flops. They’re just drawstring linen and Reef flip-flops. Flowers: Bouquet inspiration pics. These are from someone on here, but I don’t know who. So, whoever it is, thank you! And more!
  9. I can’t believe it’s already time to go. This year has gone by so fast. We got engaged on March 28, 2008 (the day before my birthday!) and I’ve been stalking this forum ever since! The Rings: My FI picked out my engagement ring all by himself without any imput from me. I’m so proud of him! Wedding bands: We got my ring and band at Shane Co, and I got his ring off of ebay. eBay My World - a-splash-of-sparkle Invites: I DIYed our STD’s. I had a lot of fun making them, but they were pretty time consuming. We never did actual invites, since so few guests indicated that they would come. Instead we sent out invites for our AHR. I designed them myself and had them printed by a local printing company. Very simple, and small enough that I could fit 4 to a page and save on paper. My Attire: I didn’t really want a fancy dress, or to spend a lot of money on one. So I found this sundress at JC Penney—their American Living collection for $60. I love it! I had to get it altered a bit, the straps kept falling down! Don’t mind the face. Bryce thought it was funny to keep taking pictures without giving me time to prepare. My DIY barefoot sandals. I got the beads and supplies at either Michaels or Hobby Lobby. I can’t quite remember which. If the sand is too hot, then I’ll just wear my backup flip flops from Old Navy. There's more!
  10. Hi Christine! I see you're from KC! I'm originally from there, but live in Wichita now. Welcome to the forum!
  11. Welcome to the forum! I hope you find the information you need here!
  12. Any May brides still at home?
  13. Glad to have you here. Hope your best friend is able to travel to DR with you! Welcome!
  14. Wow, what a story! I'm glad you're going to be able to go to Mexico like you want!
  15. I think you'll be fine. My dad didn't even book his flight until last week! Do your friends and family know you plan to have a DW?

I also purchased a few extra pictures, but no where near $200 worth. But, I think the price of $200 seems fair. That is also what I paid for a disc of all of my engagement pictures. Exactly the same situation with me. I think $200 is reasonable since you got a free session.
  17. Lisa you look so pretty in your dress! Less than a week to go for you!
  18. I brought one of my best friends along. I was way more comfortable knowing she was there, and it was more fun too.
