  1. I heard great things about The Secret Life of Houdini. I know, it sounds weird, but its a biography but a pretty good story. I haven't read it yet, but did buy it because people were talking about it. I don't normally like bios.
  2. Not sure if this helps just a little, but most bills wont go on your credit unless they go to collections. Things like car and rent or mortgage will, but usually at 30 days. Cable, phone, etc would go much longer, and the nasty calls will start much earlier than the credit reporting would. I know, not the point, but thought that could help relax you a bit.

  5. For me its because I stay up late on Saturdays and then sleep in on Sundays and then trying to go to bed at a reasonable hour is difficult cause I slept till 9 or 10 instead of 6 ish.
  6. I am afraid that the last man standing will be someone no one has heard of. Sad to see Gordon Ramsey get removed! I am removing Todd Palin because are you kidding me? 1. Hugh Jackman 2. 7. We did too! We actually met on Yahoo personals. Best decision I have ever made! I pretty much went on there because I just wanted to date and have fun after the end of a long term relationship that was lame. I met my FI and he was so great and sweet and we had the most amazing first date. We didnt even talk online or the phone more than a few emails and a single call. I was like hey lets just meet and see if we like each other! So now, I would recommend online dating to anyone...
  8. I was totally the same way. I didnt even want to go dress shopping in July and my wedding is in December. But you do the things that need to get done, and everything else falls into place. I look at the planning threads and assume I must be the worst bride ever because I am not doing all this extra stuff, but I am glad to hear that other brides feel the same. I have been saying that I am missing the bride gene or something, but I guess its common! I think that the fact that its a DW means it needs less planning time for us than an at home wedding (at least for me) since we have WCs. So its hard to get that excited when its kind of far away. Mine is in 2 weeks, and I am now getting so excited. You will too when its closer!

  10. This thread motivated me to get my hair and makeup done the day of the wedding. I started to think if left to do my own hair etc, I would just look like regular me in a dress, not a "bride". I was picturing how I felt at the fitting, like oh this would be pretty if I didnt have my hair down and if I had makeup etc. And then I was like wait, I am not doing anything too special on that day either!!! I think that will help it all come together for me! Thanks for the inspiration ladies!
  11. Can anyone who got married at Las Caletas weigh in? I posted this question on the other thread, but didnt get a response. Thanks!
  12. OMG! I think you probably will want to urge him to express his uniqueness in another way! But I have to say, I think its cute that he got that idea. It shows imaginiation! OR YOU COULD SUGGEST THAT HE BE A KING OR PIRATE>>> ON THE WEDDING NIGHT!!!!!!!!! Win, Win, right?
  13. I provided one hotel which is not the one we are staying at. I provided a budget friendly option. I figured if people with more money wanted to upgrade, no prob. I certainly didnt provide them with any of the arrangements outside of that however. With an all inclusive that you are staying at, it probably makes sense to provide an alternative suggestion, but nothing more than "If you dont want the AI program, we suggest you try the Whatever hotel, which can be reached at 1-800".

In public I wear it on the other hand and everyone yells at me for wearing it and says its bad luck. Only I know that I am already married and I feel terrible when I am not wearing my band. DH wears his full time since no one that he works with was invited to the wedding and its a brand new job. He is living as a married guy!
  16. I think actually getting married in Mexico is difficult, as in there is a 5 day waiting period that you have to be there for, and blood tests, but if you can spare the time, it just might work. Little secret...I got married months ago in Vegas, so we wouldnt have to worry about Mexico.
  17. Same here! When I got my dress the woman made me try it on and I did it to humor her. Then once I was in it, I felt like it flattered me, but it wasnt quite as big on the bottom as I wanted. Idid want a line, but maybe pickups or something. I got convinced because I was afraid pickups wouldnt pack well. Plus it has a little bit of beading which I initially didnt want but they told me would catch the sun. And the organza or whatever the see thru fabric is made the dress lie down nicely, so I fell for that too. I was really nervous I wouldnt like it once I saw it on me in the correct sizw, and I did still like it. But, like you and Rachel, I dont think I can get too hopped up over a dress. So I do like it, but am worried that I wont adore it at the wedding. Plus I am not having my hair and makeup done for me, so I want to try to do something special with it myself. But I am not spending too much time worrying because honestly, I think all the little variations that we think about, dont make much difference to anyone else but us. I honestly cant picture more than the basic shape of any wedding I have ever been to. Like I can remember strapless A line, but nothing more, ever. Well, maybe thats just me...
  18. I did cheap bags too, natural color canvas, about $1.59 each. I am glad because people dont use totes that are monogramed usually after the wedding, well maybe parents would...but most wouldnt. I think it is just a vehicle to give the other gifts. The only regret I have is that we are ironing on our monogram, and it isnt the best to do that on canvas. Some turn out well, some seem not set all the way, and some seem a little burned under the monogram. But again, its just a way to give the gifts. I have seen some people do personalized paper bags, which is actually really cute too. So no, I don't have regrets either.
  19. Rotating doesnt make it a mirror image. See if you can open it in picture viewer or some other program, and then try ctrl H. Otherwise its just the same image on its side or upside down.
  20. Good Luck! I am doing my OOT bags right now actually, and never realized how hard it was iron on! LOL
  21. I just did this too, and it took me forever. I believe if you push ctrl + H it does a horizontal flip (ie mirror image). Then save that version as a separate file. I copied and pasted it onto a portrait ppt presentation. Got it the right size, etc, in ppt, and then copied in 6 times so that I had 3 on each side. Then I saved that presentation, and everytime I want to print more, I just print that ppt slide and it give me 6. You might want bigger ones, so maybe it would be 2 and 2, you get my drift. Its just convenient to have it on a permanent template. Hope that helps!
