I have been racking my brain trying to figure out what to get dh for our 25th anniversary. I wanted to give it to him at our vow renewal, well, not actually there, but when we are in Cabo. It finally dawned on me what to get him. Tell me what you all think. He is into Nascar big time as I am. So, I was thinking of getting him a pair of tickets to go to the Nascar race in Dallas the end of October beginning of Nov. There is a 4-day race from trucks to Nascar. Then I was also going to give him a certificate to the Driving school they have there where they can drive an actual Nascar car so many laps around the track depending on what package I get him. What do you all think? Any Dallas ladies familiar with these activities? If you have any more info can you PM it. I am so excited. He will never guess this one. He always can guess what I am going to get him for whatever occasion it happens to be. I figured he could have a boy's weekend and take our 21 y/o son with him. Let me hear what you all think of this

First day to the gym. I signed up last week and kept coming up with excuses, no one to work out with (hubby was out of town), that time of the month, yada yada yada. Well today at work several ladies were talking about working out and it got me excited. I went to the gym and went on the treadmill for 35min. It's not much but it's a start. I had a spinal fusion to my lower back in Sept so I am starting out slowly, I meet with a personal trainer tomorrow night!

When we got married almost 25 years ago, we were young and went along with our parents. We had a church wedding/reception the whole works but I still didn't get everything that I wanted. I figured by renewing our vows on our 25th anniversary I would get the beach ceremony I wanted but most importantly, it gave us a reason to take one last vacation together as a family with our children. My son already lives out of state going to college and the week before our vow renewal my daughter will be graduating from high school and then going off to college. I never had a professional photographer/videographer at our wedding and I am going to have it this time. I also had terrible fake flowers and real is what I wanted. I know a lot of people think vow renewals are a big joke and make fun of the people that do this, but to me it is a recommittment to my husband. I am not trying to take away from the brides by no means That is a whole nother time. Sorry to go on and on.

I got one of mine today! They are of good material. I wish they had better instructions with it. My daughter is about 5'4" and it is long on her. I got her a large. I am waiting on another one in teal and mine in black. My daughter is thinking of wearing hers "strapless" and my son's girlfriend will probably wear hers as a halter.

I just wanted to know what you all thought of our sand ceremony wording. Since we are doing a vow renewal I changed it up a bit. Let me know what you all think. The Family (Children) Ceremony UNITY SAND BLENDING We are all members of one family, God’s family. Today as (Roy) and (Denise) have sealed their re-commitment to each other they too want to make a commitment to their children. We recognize the significant role that (Brandon) and (Ashley) play in this re-commetment celebrated today. They will now join (Roy) and (Denise) in this re-commitment to each other by contributing a part of each individual person into one blended family. Today, this relationship is symbolized through the pouring of these (4) individual containers of sand, each representing a member of the family in all that they were, all that that they are, and all that they will ever be. As each individual’s sand is poured into the family’s one united common container, the individual containers of sand will no longer exist, but will be joined together as one. Just as the grains of sand can never be separated and poured again into the individual containers, so will become the bond with your family.

I voted for #2 but now that I see the new pics you posted, I really like that one. They both look great on you.

What color do you think would go better with a coral dress. I am just needing one for myself, but don't know what color to go with. Any suggestions?

I have a question. If there is a special song that I want played while I walk to my husband for our vow renewal, should I be able to have it played on my IPOD instead of having the Mexican string trio attempt to play it? My WC keeps trying to insist of have the trio play it, but I really want my husband to hear the words instead of just the music. Am I being unreasonable or is she just trying to save me money by having the trio play it and me not rent a sound system? What would you all do? The song I want played is: Remember When by Alan Jackson. TIA

Thanks everyone! My dress is going to be coral so that is why i went with all coral flowers for the girls. My flowers are going to be all roses in coral/yellow/orange and pink I think. I don't remember. It's all running together.

The new dresses are ordered, the necklaces are on their way and the WC and I finally got the girls bouquets figured out. The dresses will be from VS the 7-in-1. Here it is all together. Tell me what you think.

I really love that dress. I would have loved to where that myself. I would go with either the Coral or the Chocolate. The chocolate will go great with the bright fuschia and also the khaki/tan colors. Your BM dress is what I am wearing for my vow renewal but I have coral. Great choice. It will look perfect no matter which way you go.

UPDATE: Neither of the girls like the dress. So, with that being said, with 6 weeks before we leave, I am going with the VS 7-in-1 dress in teal. Hopefully it will be a close match in color to the guys shirts because they match the dress I posted here. Wish me luck.

You could go with tropical colors, for example: yellows/orange/green/pinks all combined. I will try to find a pic of what I am thinking.

I voted for vacation spots. I love seeing where people have been and it also gives me ideas of where to go on vacation.

Does she do custom work or can you only choose from what she has? Does anyone know how the extenders work? I tried using one today and it made the necklace lopsided, if that makes sense. That is a beautiful necklace. They will love it.

Weddings They are custom made and several different styles to choose from. I noticed several of the ladies got the mens pants from this site also. I am getting the guys shirts from that site in the same color as the dress and also the necklace i posted a picture of is also from that site.
