Ok, here is the dress that I decided to go with. No the hard part starts. I need all of your expertise ideas. I have no clue what type of shoes to get(not wearing shoes on the beach but at dinner). I read that the Spanx are a must have, but not sure which one to go with. Also, what would be some good jewelry to wear See, I may be married almost 25 years, I still don't do well with the girly girl stuff anymore. I have short brunette hair. Any help/opinions would be greatly appreciated. I am 5'2", so the dress is longer on me obviously. LOL Tell me what you think. This is the color that I ordered. TIA Here it is.....

Hey everyone! I am finally going to look for a dress. I have been searching online for awhile and just couldn't find what I want. Tomorrow I am going to Alfred Angelo and going to find my perfect dress!! (I hope so anyway). I told them on the phone what I was looking for, and they said they would pull out what they thought I would like and in my "size". I know it's not that big of a deal since it is a vow renewal, but I feel like it's my wedding day again except I am much older and wiser than I was then. Wish me luck. I will post pictures if I get any taken since I am going by myself.

Which one have you all bought? They have so many choices. Has anyone tried the full slip one? I was thinking of the one that goes from under the bra down to the thighs, because I need lots of help. LOL

Thanks for the info! Yes, we are paying everything, the airfare, hotel, food etc. Then again it's my kids and their SO. I may still get some things that would be helpful. I will look through the links. I will also get them each a little thank you gift for being a part of our ceremony.

This is all new to me. What is the purpose of these bags? Is it just a gift to your guests telling them thank you for coming?? Sorry if I sound stupid. I am just trying to figure out if I need to be doing something along those lines. There is just going to be a total of 6 of us for the renewal ceremony. They are my dh and myself, my 2 kids and their boyfriend/girlfriend. We are paying for everything for them(the whole trip). Any suggestions of some basic things I should take? They are all going to be in the ceremony also. Any help would be appreciated.

That is a beautiful dress and does not look too formal for a beach wedding! You only get married once, so go for your dream dress.

I really like this dress. I would like some opinions if you all don't mind. I originally was going to wear a coral dress and the girls will be wearing a teal colored dress. Well, the VS dress doesn't come in coral but it does come in that bright pink. My question is this, do you think I would stand out like a sore thumb against the teal wearing that bright pink or should I stick with finding a coral dress. We will be renewing our vows, so I'm not a new bride. It will be in Cabo on the beach. Our flowers are going to be a mixture of tropical colors. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I wish that they had this in either coral or ivory. That would be perfect for my vow renewals in Cabo. My dd and son's gf will be wearing teal, I wonder if the pink would look good with the teal?

My dd and son's gf will be wearing a teal-blue colored dress and I am going with a coral colored dress. We will have tropical colored flowers on the beach. We will be renewing our vows, so that is why I am going with Coral(if I find a dress that I can get in time, otherwise, I will wear ivory)

I am renewing my vows and I am using an arch. The reason I decided was since there will only be 6 of us participating, I wanted it to not look empty. It is basically going to be greenery with tropical colored flowers in 3 different spots. When I find the pic I will post it. Also, I found another thread on the next page regarding arches and it had a bunch of pics.

This is the dress that my dd and my son's gf are going to wear but in a blue/green color. I was thinking of getting this same dress in this color but they would use a flower print material. Do you think that would look right on someone of my age? I don't want to look like a wanna be teen. I need honest opinions please. I hope it's alright that I posted this. For our vow renewal the guys will wear khaki pants and a short sleeve shirt, nothing fancy. I was going to have them wear shorts, but I heard that some restaurants in Cabo the guys need to wear pants? Not sure, but that is what I heard.

My dh and I are going to be renewing our vows in Cabo on June 2, 2008. This will be our 25th wedding anniversary. I am 45 and he is 46. We will be taking our son/gf and daughter/bf. There will be 6 of us. We will be having a sunset ceremony on Pedragal beach. I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a dress for me to wear? I am having all 6 of us in the ceremony and will have flowers(tropical colors), an arch, Mexican string trio, photographer and videographer(these both are my dream because I didn't have either at our original wedding). I have been searching forever to find the right dress and I am totally stumped. Can't wait to see what you all suggest.
