We got back last week from our vow renewal and I used WIP. Leoan was my WC. She was awesome!! I definitely recommend them. I made so many changes with my bouquet that I thought she would shoot me, but she kept saying, whatever you want, you will get.

I love photography. I play around with it. I have taken classes to learn new things, but when it comes to the professional pics I had taken, I want them to look good. I can tell how pics turn out from Walmart, Walgreens etc and I will take standard pics there, but not professional onews. I really want a coffee table book, but I will have to save up for that. I do have the copyright from my photographer and I will make some of the cheaper albums for my parents but thinking of having my coffee table book from Sarah here at BDW.

My WC place my sand frame in a DHL box and then I put it in my carryon. I didn't have any problems and no one asked any questions.

The design is still the same, but sand leaked out of the bottom right hand corner. I don't know why. The only think that I can think of is that I took the front glass out prior to leaving because I was waiting to get a pic. Maybe I should have kept it in place?? My kids are 19 and 21. I used pieces from a couple different sand ceremonies and I think it worked out great. I altered the ceremony by finding a vow renewal ceremony and then personalized it to meet my feelings. After you look at my pics if you have any more question just feel free to ask away.

What a beautiful cake! Mine didn't turn out at all like i wanted but it did taste good. Since that is the only problem we had, I can deal with it. Here is a pic of what our cake looked like.

Hi everyone! I am back as you know. Sorry I am late with posting my review. Just a thought I would share, since this is just a vow renewal ceremony, I don't have all the reviews that a regular bride would have, but if I am able to help 1 person or give someone some ideas that would make it all worth it. We are 2 "older" people and not in the best of shape, but we wanted to share our memories and views to all of you because I was able to get some much info from you all and wanted to give something back to you all. Funjet-C-I gave Funjet that rating because our flight was changed 3 times within 2 weeks. On the day that we left (5/31), we didn't leave until 2:45 CST and arrived in Cabo at 4:30. By the time we went through the first round of customs, we had to wait a good 30 minutes before they even though about unloading the luggage and they are not gentle. So pack breakables really well. After all of us got our luggage (6) we had to then put our luggage through the xray and then each family had to press the "button", well dh got the red light and they had to search the luggage he was pulling. After we made it through there we went through the doors and were instantly bombarded with time share people. Dumb me, we all went to where we thought we needed to go and they asked for proof of our transfers ect, well, don't STOP!! Just go out the doors to the left until you are outside. EPIC-AThey were great. They had the bus ready and our group was the first ones to get on. They had beer for sale if anyone wanted one. There were 6 in our group and we all went to one hotel the whole rest of the bus went to Riu Palace. The Epic tour guide gave a lot of info but mainly focused to the Riu Palace Group. On our return to the airport, Epic was 10 minutes early so that was good. They were at our hotel at 7am and we went to 3 other hotels before we were at the airport. Pueblo Bonito Rose Hotel-B+-They would have received an "A", but on the morning we left we turned in our keys and said that we had a balance of $3000 on our room and $3.40 on the guys room. We told them the guys room balance was paid the night before along with our incidentals from our fridge. He gets on the phone and starts talking in spanish and hangs up and says we still have the other bill. (Our hotel/airfare was paid before we even got to Cabo). When I looked at the bill more closely, he had the wrong room number and he laughs and says, oopps, sorry!! So look at your bill closely. The rooms were great, the views awesome. Here is a view from our room: Nare Norstrum/Fellinis-A+-These 2 hotel restaurants were awesome. The service was great, the food great. The prices were typical of Cabo. On our last night we ate again at Nare Norstrum but we booked our waiter from the first night and had a dinner for 8 on the beach. They had the canopy with the fabric hanging on the pole and tiki torches. It was really a nice way to end our short vacation. VOW RENEWAL CEREMONY Pedregal Beach -A+-This beach was private and absolutely gorgeous. It is a private gated community. If any of you watch the newest Platinum Wedding that was held in Cabo last week, well we went by that villa that the wedding was held at. It is breathtaking. The rocks/waves were magical. You don't have any onlookers or gawkers. It was just our group, the WC, officiant, guitarist, photographer and videographer there. I used Leoan at Weddings in Paradise-A+-She went above and beyond for me. I worked with her for 7 months with planning and changed my mind I don't know how many times and she never complained. Our Bouquets came from The Flower Cart-A+-They were absolutely gorgeous. I had an all rose bouquet in coral/ivory/yellow and the girls bouquets were all coral roses/gerbers. I also had boutainears and flowers for the girls hairs. I really didn't want to leave my bouquet. The starfish looked wonderful in all of the bouquets. The officiant was Carlos Navas-A-He spoke good English. The only problem was that while dh was waiting for me, he said that he wanted to change up the order of things that I had wrote out, put the sand ceremony before the final blessing. It wasn't a problem, but my husband was worried that I might get upset. It all worked out great. My hair was done by Velinda-A-I didn't have a trial and when she showed up she commented on how short my hair was but how thick it was. I told her to do majic. She made it look like I had an updo, even though I didn't have long hair. Her makeup was good. I wanted my eyes to pop, and she made that happen. My dh loved everything about it. We were supposed to have Chaplin(acquistic quitarist) but he had an emergency so he was replaced with someone else. He did ok for last minute. My dress is a bridesmaid dress from Alfred Angelo and the girls dresses is the 7-in-one dress from VS in Teal. Photography:Manuel Burgoin-A+-He did an awesome job making everyone feel warm and comfortable. He worked with me on the hours. I havn't seen our pics yet but I know they are going to be awesome. Videographer:Tomas Barron-A+-Again, I havn't seen the video, but when we met that morning he made me feel so at ease. During the ceremony he was so calm and blended in. Reception:Sunset da Mona Lisa-C-Food/A-surroundings-We had more pictures taken here out on the terrace it was beautiful. The food is another story. No one enjoyed their meal at all. It took everyone about 20 minutes to figure out what they wanted. It was not worth the money. They also did my cake and even though it tasted good, it wasn't done the way I wanted. It was supposed to have been coral with teal chocolate shells on it and it ended up being white with red/blue sugar stars/shells. It tasted good, I just didn't like how it looked. I did a basket of useful goodies for the 4 rooms: It has tylenol, Imodium, sunscreen, bug spray, lotion, lip balm etc. Here is a pic: More pics to follow

I just had our vow renewal in Cabo and our flowers came from The Flower Cart. They did awesome work. I had an all rose bouquet in 3 different colors and the girls had an all coral bouquet with roses/gerber daisies. I really didn't want to leave my bouquet behind, but I did. I didn't want to get caught with it. LOL

We got back on Thursday from Cabo. I am back at work today so I will post a review(no one is using Pueblo Bonito Hotels, but will still do a review) and post some non-professional pics of our vow renewal.

I would have loved to have the opportunity to do a TTD when I got married but 25 years ago, I don't think they did that. Go for it! From what I have seen of the ladies here, they are some of the best photos that I have seen.

Those are gorgeous colors!! I also got my sand from there also and they were really quick. I got 2 colors from them, the DB coral and the natural. Love your containers.

Hi everyone! I just wanted to say thanks to everyone here at BDW! I know I am not getting married but you all helped me with a lot of different ideas. I am really excited to renew my vows to my one and only on Monday and just hope that maybe we have inspired others that long marriages really do happen. It takes a lot of work and communication. 25 years seems like a life time but it really isn't. If you still want, I will post pics when I get back of our small ceremony and a review of our vendors. I will also post a pic of my anniversary ring. I havn't seen it yet. It's a surprise. My daughter and dh went together. Oh, by the way, dh still doesn't want to see the dress I will be wearing this time either and it's not even a wedding dress. I keep trying to show it to him and these are his words:" I didn't see your wedding dress until that day and I don't want to see this one either until that day" Got to love him. Sorry this is so long, can you tell I am excited. Talk to you all when I get back next Thursday.

Thanks for the info! I will look into those restaurants. For our ceremony dinner we are going to Sunset da Mona Lisa. I know that is on the pricy side but other than that, we are not looking for anything fancy. We will have teens and young adults with us. We are just going to bring cash and traveller's checks with us.
