  1. I brought my sand frame and the sand. My WC got me 4 small vases to hold the 4 different colors of sand. We rented them.
  2. I did a vow renewal and not a wedding, but the hotel we stayed at was Pueblo Bonito Rose and it is a swimmable beach, that is why I chose it. However, our ceremony was at a separate place, Pedregal Beach. It is a private neighborhood that our WC was able to get us into. There were no hotel guests or other people in the background. There were the 8 of us, WC, Officiant, guitarist, 2 photographers/2 videographer. I am not sure how the Rose does their wedding packages or what they offer, but I do know it is a swimable beach. My WC was from WEddings in Paradise and my WC was Leoan. Hope that helps
  3. My video from our vow renewal came today. Tomas Barron did our video for us. The outside of the case is all in red roses and then he has pictures on the front and back of the case from the ceremony. The CD itself also has pictures on it. There are 2 CD's that came with it. DH and I watched it and surprisingly, not only did I tear up, but so did my husband, and he is not a cryer at all. I wish there was a way I can post it somewhere so you all could see it. Oh well, if anyone has any ideas, feel free to let me know. I know family and friends would like to see it too. Just thought i would share my excitement since I am still waiting on my proff pics.

  7. My dh said that when our daughter gets married he is going to have that song played. It is a beautiful song. Congrats on picking your resort!!
  8. It will be 3 weeks on Monday since my vow renewal ceremony and I really don't have a good picture with the starfish in it. Can I send one now and then when I get my professional pics swap it out with the good one? I really want to participate. LOL
  9. Those are beautiful and not too long at all. It is the nerves.

Thanks The restaurant that we had our dinner at made our cake. It tasted great and it was very pretty, it was just the wrong colors. It was supposed to have matched our renewal colors. The cake should have been coral in color and the shells should have been the teal and made out of chocolate, instead they were the hard candy shells. The bottom layer was fake.
  11. I really wish when I got married 25 years ago there was a TTD. I would have loved to trash that dress. I can't believe I bought it but that's another subject all together. I really would love to do a TTD. I should have done that while I was in Cabo for our renewal, but dh wouldn't have went for it. I just love seeing everyone's photos especially the ones that don't hold back.
  12. I am doing better! I got an email from my WC that I should be receiving my renewal video from Tomas in Cabo tomorrow. Does anyone know how you have others view it? I was going to have family/friends view it but wasn't sure how to go about doing that? Any suggestions??

That's why I always have to laugh when someone says "they want $4,000 for eight hours of coverage - that's $500 an hour!" Ha, I wish! Did your Photographer give you an estimate on how long it would take. And did they at least give you a sneak peek by posting a few on their blog or something?? Yes he did, he said about 3 weeks. LOL, I am just an impaitent person. Nope, no sneak peaks. I will try and keep myself occupied and try not to think about it. Nah, that's not going to work.
  14. I know it has been only a little over 2 weeks since our vow renewal, but I am going crazy waiting for my professional photos and video!! How do you all make it through this? I am so anxious. I keep checking my email and snail mail waiting and wondering. Am I the only one?? I need help.
  15. Your bouquet is gorgeous!! It looks so real. I am so happy that you got it in time. Now relax and enjoy your wonderful day.
  16. Jaychin-when you go for your vist to WIP, tell Leoan that "Denise" said hi!
  17. That sounds like a neat place to have a wedding. I wonder if you can rent a room without having a wedding?? I would love for just my dh and myself to go there for a secluded get away.
  18. Those were some great reviews!! It makes me wish I was renewing my vows again so that I can do site visits and pick another awesome place to go. Maybe for our 50th. LOL. So, we all want to know, which one did you choose From reading your reviews, I think I know which one you are leaning towards. LOL Can't wait to hear.
  19. My bouquet looked just as good 2 days afterwards as it did the first day. It was all roses.
  20. What an indepth review. You looked beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
  21. I was tied between B and D and ended going with B. I love roses to begin with (mine was all roses), and then adding the callas and gardenias is just gorgeous plus I bet it will smell awesome.
  22. Those turned out beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing Jen. Looks like you both had a lot of fun.
  23. Thanks for all of the info! It hopefully will help alot of new brides. The main thing is that you communicate with potential photographers, talk with other brides that have used the same photographer that you are thinking of using, get referrals. Make sure they are the type photographer that you want.(posed vs photojournalistic (sp?). Find out how they edit, do they do B&W, sepia, selective coloring ect. Just my two cents.
  24. I thought I would share what we used for our vow renewal ceremony. Opening: "When you first joined hands and hearts 25 years ago, you did not know where life would take you. You promised to love, honor and cherish one another through all things. Life has surely brought you both wonderful blessings and difficult tribulations. Therefore, you have fulfilled your promise. And God is smiling! So, as you come here today to reaffirm your wedding vows and as you reflect back over all the years as husband and wife, do you now reaffirm the vows you took 25 years ago? If so, repeat after me. Vows: Roy(Please repeat after me) I , Roy take you Denise to be my Wife, Friend and Lover. * I will be yours in plenty and in want, * in sickness and in health, * in failure and in triumph* Together we will dream, * play and experience. *When you stumble, I will restore you.. * Throughout my life * I promise to cherish and respect you,* to comfort and encourage you,* and to stay with you * as long as we both live. Denise(Please repeat after me) I Denise, take you Roy, *to be my Husband, Friend and Lover. Exchange of rings:My dh lost his wedding band so I got him another one and he surprised me with a past/present/future ring) Roy place the ring on Denise’s finger and repeat after me. I give you this symbol of my Love…Knowing Love is precious * and Fragile, yet strong. * I give you this sign of my love, * an ever present symbol * of the vows we have made this day. * I give you this ring * as I give you my Love. Denise place the ring on Roy’s finger and repeat after me. I give you this symbol of my Love….Knowing Love is precious * and fragile, yet strong. * I give you this sign of my Love, * an ever present symbol * of the vows we have made this day. * I give you this ring * as I give you my Love. Sand Ceremony: As you stand beside the ocean tide, may your love always be as constant as these never-ending waves that pour near your feet, flowing endlessly from the depths of the sea; Your love came softly upon each others heart, just as the foam comes softly upon the sand, and just as there will never be a morning without the ocean's flow, so there will never be a day without love for each other. You have pledged yourselves on this day your love will be as dependable as the tide; as these waters nourish the earth and sustain life, may your constant devotion nourish and sustain you until the end of time. Roy and Denise, you have just sealed your relationship by the giving and receiving of rings, and this covenant is a relationship agreement between two people who agree that they will commit themselves to one another throughout their lives. The most beautiful example of this partnership is the marriage relationship. You have recommitted here today to share the rest of your lives with each other and with your children, Brandon and Ashley. We recognize the significant role that Brandon and Ashley play in this re-commitment celebrated today. They will now join Roy and Denise in this re-commitment to each other by contributing a part of each person into one sound (or unbroken or enduring) family. Today, this relationship is symbolized through the pouring of these (4) individual containers of sand, each representing a member of the family in all that they were, all that they are, and all that they will ever be. As each individual’s sand is poured into the family’s one united common container, the individual containers of sand will no longer exist, but will be joined together as one. Just as the grains of sand can never be separate and poured again into the individual containers, so will continue the bond with your family. Blessing: With the words from an old Apache Wedding Blessing, I would like to Bless this Vow Renewal. “Now you will feel no rain for each of you will be shelter to one another. Now you will feel no cold, for each of you will be warmth to the other. Now there is no loneliness, now you are two persons, but there is one life before you. Go now to your place to enter into days of your togetherness and may your days be good and long upon this earth.” Each of you has pledged your truth, one to the other, by giving and receiving your Love. It becomes my pleasure to make complete the union of your lives. I now give you into the keeping of each other in the highest and noblest relationship recognized by society and the laws under which we live, I pronounce you Husband and Wife once again. You may now kiss your wife. Thanks for letting me share.
