Hi Jamie Everything looked fantastic. I was wondering for your cuppa did you get the beads through LC or did you by them and bring them to PV?

I was having the same problem. FI and I have huge families but didn't want to exclude people. So what we decided to do was... when we sent out our Save the dates we included an insert that said "For those of you that will not be able to make it to Mexico we will have a reception in Seattle at a later date" hoping this would detract people from going to mexico. Haha lets see if it will work.

I was wondering if there are any filipino brides on here that will be incorporating any of the filipino wedding traditions in their wedding? I was thinking of doing the coins, cord and veil. What are your thoughts

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. Today I am actually able to walk around on my own. I slept through my alarm that I set for my medication and I was in the worst pain. Now I am setting 2 alarms I never want to miss a dose again. Can't wait to eat some real FOOD. I already got a food wish list going. =)

I just got my tonsils out on Monday and I just need to say that I am in the worst pain of my life. This sucks. I will say my doctor did prepare me well for the recovery pain. It feels like broken glass in my throat every time I swallow. And all I can have is chicken broth and popsicles. Not sure if it was worth it for the surgery. I guess will see how many times I get sick this year. But one good thing. I will be losing some weight just in time to look for more dresses =)

My FI and I were engaged April 08. Our wedding is Nov 09. We never did an engagment party. My friend was asking if we were going on have one. When are you suppose to have one? Is it too late to have one now?

We are not getting married there. We were going to, we are having our wedding at the Mayan Palace. We will be staying at Buenaventura for the week we are there. Our families will also be there. I just thought that they had the best prices. It is not a 5 star hotel but it is still nice with its renovations and its all inclusive. We will be staying here for our wedding. My WC toured the place and she said they have done many renovations and she said it looked really nice.

HI I am currently working with Vallarta Wedd Planners and Johanna is helping me plan my wedding. They have been great. They are pretty quick to respond. I am getting married Nov 09. I think you are ok to start planning now. At first I was not going to go with a planner but I was having such a hard time getting in contact with hotel and I was not planning on going to PV to do a site visit. I emailed a bunch of the WC and Vallarta Wedd Planners got back to me quickly and was willing to plan with me right away. Others told me I was to early and they did not have their calenders ready yet. I don't know of anyone on this site that has used them. But I have had a great experiance so far. I highly recommend them. Have you talk to them yet? let me know if there is anything I can help you with Mary

Your pictures look great

I went to one in Cancun... I had no idea what it would be like. I thought it was gonna be TWO BULLS fighting each other. LOL Surprise to me!! When it started I ask my FI when the other Bull was coming out.. he thought I was crazy. Anyways there are also other shows that go on before the bull fight and a lot of audiance participation. At least at the one in Cancun.

I looked through the threads and did not find what I am actually looking for. I am getting ready to send out out STD and our guest list keeps growing. I thought that if I included something in our STD that we will be having a AHR some people would choose not to come to Mexico and that would help the guest count. But I am having trouble coming up with what I want to write in the insert. Anyone have any ideas. All the wording I have found on the threads for AHR are for inviting people to AHR. I just want to let them know that we will be having a AHR. Help =)

Hi Kirsty, I am getting on 11/28/09. You are gonna have so much fun on here. We are staying at Buenaventura Grand Hotel and Spa and the wedding will be at Mayan Palace at the Marina. I have never been. But my friend got married there this year and her pictures are beautiful and she talked me into having our wedding there.
