  2. I was shopping the other day...and found this necklace that is PERFECT!!! The designer has a website, Foxy Originals: Welcome to Foxy! ....so i can show you the piece i bought! You can`t tell from the picture...but the starfish is all little crystals that sparkle REALLY prettily. I love it!! Sand Dollar This stunning pendant is a mermaid's treasure! Fine detailing on both front and back give this piece a true organic element. Available on black leather with crystal stones or on tan leather with iridescent stones.
  3. No prob! It was SUPER easy too! I used regular scissors to cut them out. Took all of 5 mins!!
  4. yah. I beleive so. I basically designed them on Vista, and my TA ordered them for me. They may have cost like $15 to ship. But, not too bad.
  5. It looks good. You might want to add the tip about ice cubes made with bottled water dimple or form an air bubble in them. So you would be able to tell ice made from unbottled water. Also, maybe encourage your guests to get their Hep A and B shots. That would help solve the problem too. Otherwise, it looks good.
  6. Ok.,...I finished my first aid kit! Thanks everyone for the great ideas!! I printed it out on Avery Sticker Project Paper. It is sticky on the bag, so you can just press onto the first aid kits. (Which i found at Dollarama!!!) I REALLY like how these turned out. So cute!!! Here is my powerpoint file...in case anyone wants it. first aid bunny template1.ppt
  7. Did you get the sand dollar from Oriental Tradig post?? I love this idea! I am going to have to steal! <grins>
  8. Ok, fixed typos...played with fonts. Now, i am playing around with ideas on what to do with them. I love the chocolate color idea...might incorporate that....and, of coarse, whatever our final menu is! lol. Ok, yah...i have WAY too much time on my hands, if i am thinking about THIS already!! (and look...i figured out how to add my files too!!!! menu Cuba 1.ppt
  9. We also included a separate piece of paper with our gift request on it. Simply because we have TOO big and diverse circle of friends, that having family members tell everyone our wishes was impossible. The Gift Request Said: "Dear Friends and Family, The greatest gift we can imagine is your presence on our wedding day. We really do have two of everything (even cats) and couldn't ask for anything more. (especially cats) However, if you so desire, we are registered through our travel agent to help us with our wedding and honeymoon. And with that said, we are certainly not adverse to an envelope crammed full of dollar bills. Above all, we ask that you join us in Cuba or back in Saskatoon the following summer as we celebrate our wedding."
  10. I thought i would share my invites with everyone. They were really simple. My thought being that I was going to send out fancier invites for our reception/bbq. These were basically free on VistaPrint. I just wanted to let people know we were getting married, and were welcome to come, if they wanted. This is the front of the Invite: This is the back of the invite: And, this was our gift registry card...basically its a business card. We registered through our travel agent.
  11. When we sent out our invites to come to Cuba, we added on the invites that if they couldn't make it, we would be having a reception bbq in the summer. Then, on a separate peice of paper, we wrote in a little blurp about how we really don't need anything, and that the only thing we really would like is for people to either come to Cuba or to the celebration party afterwards. If they wanted to send gifts, please don't as we have everything already. We cute out this paper and added it to the envelope with the invite. That way its not ON the invitation...but is sent along with it. My FI and I come from HUGE groups of friends and family. The problem became that, even though your MoH of family should spread the word you don't want gifts, it would be impossible to let EVERYONE know...as our friend circles don't interact with each other. We put it on our website too...but we have MANY non-computer people. It was just easier to include it in the invites. I will take pictures of our invites and post them. They were very simple...nothing fancy at all. They were postcards from Vista, our registry was a business card...and then we wrote out our gift requests on paper.
  12. Yah, it should be awesome. We are renting a tent...and its on a friends acreage. We are supplying bbq stuff, and all our family is bringing salads, desserts, etc. My MoH belongs to a band...so we have amps and music for free. Everyone can camp put at the acreage...so no one has to drive. They have a pool, so we can swim. Should be fun! Just one giant party for minimum moolah!
  13. Well, after stealing ideas from Stephanie and her wonderful first aid kit...i actually completed my FIRST DIY project today! I printed out my first aid bunny and put it on my Dollarama first aid kits. Soooo cute. I love them. I used sticker project paper to stick them on the plastic. Seems to work. I am debating putting something on the inside of the kits. We will see if i do or not.
  14. Thought I would share my invites. These were basically created in Vistaprint, and bought by my travel agent/wedding coordinator. We thought we would do somethign simple, knowing that we would make grand invites for our summer celebration. Our Gift Registry Card was basically a business card. Free from Vistaprint...but you et 250 of them. So, are left with a TON at the end!
  15. We are getting married in Dec 2008 and aren't having our reception until July 2009. Almost 7 months later! When we sent out invites for the DW, we sent them to EVERYONE. On the bottom of the invite, we stated that if they couldn't make it to the DW, we would be having a reception bbq the following summer. So, we already gave notice of it. yah...its far away..but we wanted a bbq/camp out. And, in the prairies...the best and most reliable time for this is June or July. So, hence the long time between!
  16. i LOVE the idea of these books. I have never taken shots of myself like that though...could be fun. But, a little nerve racking too! What would i wear! <laughs>
  17. oh wait!!! is it the thing that says "latest rep recieved" And then says what thread it was recieved in...and by who and a comment. Is THAT it?? <laughs> It says i have 12!!! Wow!!!! Thanks guys!! Too bad you couldn't see who all gave you points! If you miss them, the comments, do they just go away?? <hugs>
  18. i must not have any. Cause, i still don't see it! <smiles> Though, i could be totally blind too. Oh well! Thanks for trying!
  19. I know i am going to create a crossword puzzle using clues from my guests lives. That way...to get the answer...the guests have to talk to one another. Also, word searches using spanish words, with english beside them. As well as word searches relating to wedding...or my FI and my lives. Things like that.
  20. ok...am i blind? I don't see the rep points. I see karma...and blog entries...but not rep points. (Then again, i don't see a sliding bar to rate posts either. Just symbols that allow you to give rep points to people.)
  21. I like number 2 or 3. Where are you getting them from? How pricey are they? I am going with big enough to put a beach towel in. I want guests to use them as a beach bag...so, i wouldn't get anything too small that its impractical. You will be using it there, so make it hold some water, a magazine, a cover-up..that sort of thing. I heard from several members that their guests STILL use their bags. SO, guess it depends on the guest. Please share where these bags are from. As i am still looking for bags myself! And, those are cute!
  22. here is the dowload to the file...sorry if this doesn't work...(i really hope this works) I can't seem to figure out how to get a powerpoint file to download on site. Sorry. first aid art.pptx
  23. yah, everytime i try to upload...it says its an invalid file and calls it a .pptx file...though its a microsoft powerpoint presentation file...does that make sense?
