    no theme really. Does tropical count? <laughs> I am wearing a hand dyed sarong in (probably) ivory and light blue. My MoH is in one of blue, purple and green. We are thinking beach wedding...very casual. Though, now i am getting stuck on OOT bags, and what i should bring down. Should I add anything to the ceremony...stuff like that! aHHHHHHHH....when did it not become so simple! lol.

    that is a wonderful idea. Both my father and mother have passed away. I would like to do something to honor them. Throw something into the ocean maybe. As my "something old" I am wearing the wedding ring my mother gave my father on a silver chain around my neck. Lisa

    those look wonderful! I will keep those in mind for my reception! I sent out invites to the wedding already. (My TA/WC made them for me.) But, we are having a bbq/reception/we got hitched party in 2009 that i want to send invites to! So, thanks for the idea!!

    yep, thats her ebay addy!! Sign up for her newsletter. Then you will get notices when she puts things on sale. Like her oops sun dresses. I have several being shipped to me. When i get them, i will post pictures for you to see.

    she actually DOES do sun dresses as well. I am buying several for my OOT bags. And, best part...you can find her stuff on Ebay. I found, what she calls oops dresses, dresses where the colors are a bit wrong...ie...was on the store mannequin, etc, for SUPER cheap. I got several for $5.00 each!

    Hi there. I am also going non-traditional for my dress. I am wearing a hand dyed sarong in chocolate and cream. My MoH is in blue, green and purple.     <grins> I guess that also depends if you WANT everyone to know where everyone else is! I have a father-in-law...whom i would rather NOT know where we are staying!! lol.

    another great idea is you can buy bulk lotion at some supply stores. Buy simple plastic bottles, fill with lotion, add your own label, and voila, inexpensive lotion for your OOT bags.

    mine is at 400pm. It is the last wedding of the day though. Not sure of the pros and cons....haven't gone to a DW wedding before. I just wanted it close to sunset....i have heard tales of naked "party" crashers too...not sure you can do anything about that though.

    that is good to hear though! I heard mixed reviews on this resort! Nice to talk to someone who has been there. Any advice or things you noticed that you think i should bring along, I would love to hear it!

    Thank you! The more i look around, the more i realize i am NOT as original as i thought I was! lol. Seems that all DW brides tend to have the same ideas or thoughts as everyone else! In a way, thats a relief. Cause, then you can get tips that will actually work, not trial and error things on your own!

    Anyone get married here? Or know anything about this resort? Hi everyone! My name is Lisa. I am getting married in Cuba, and would LOVE any advice, tips, ideas, etc!! I know I have to bring anything i want down with me, so that is always a factor. I was thinking silver frames...but my fiancee likes the idea of a OOT bag. (Probably cheaper too!)

    Hi there. I found a DW specialist/travel agent and we actually booked our trip 1.5 - 2 YEARS in advance. Well, we met with her to figure out what we wanted, etc. She was able to give us prices, etc. We knew it was tentative, due to hotels. But, we got REALLY goood prices. We are flying right before the peak season...end of Nov. I figure, the sooner you look, the sooner you can give people a heads up on your wedding. We wanted to give advance notice, so people could save up and come with us. Hope that helps.
