Hi there We asked our TA this question too...as we have gay uncles in our party. Sandals Cuba allows gay couples, though it is looked upon by locals as strange. But, Cuba is even considering allowed gay marriages...so they aren't that far behind. The Sandals told us that our gay uncles can come to the wedding. Now if only I can get Sandals Cuba to let us know if we have rooms booked. Seems Cuba...does things at their OWN time.

I read in a wedding book that you should invite everyone to a DW wedding, even if they can't go. If they are someone you would invite to a reception party for when you come back, then you should also invite them to the DW wedding. Its considered polite. The theoy is, people just like to be included....and invited, even if they have no plans on making it.

OOT...means Out OF Town....its a bag of goodies that you give guests who are coming to your wedding that are from out of town. Generally, you fill them with things to make their stay more pleasant. Like....maps, water, snacks, etc. Hope that helps! Hey Morgan, which cheap totes are those from OT? I see a TON! I was looking at the cheap canvas ones...but am now waffling on colored ones!

We are having a reception/bbq/campout 7 months after our wedding. We are renting a tent, having a potluck bbq with family and friends. I am going to make invites for it....we will have the ipod hooked up for music. And its on a friends acreage, so people can camp overnight. We will buy the meat, but our family is bringing salads, etc. I am making candleholders to hang from the tent as the guests favors...making boarding pass invites...should be fun!!

ok..wow...i feel cheap now. I haven't thought of my MoH gift! I was just going to .....buy her an excursion or something. NOW i am thinking i need to get her something awesome!!! Oh my! <laughs>

They do. But a LOT of my guests aren't computer savvy. So, hence, i thought i would make it easier for them. And Sandals Cuba really seems hard to deal with. Heck...we can't even seem to get a hotel confirmation from them. So, it is easier for me to create this and mail it to them.

Hi all. Well, i worked ALL day on this....yes...i am addicted. I wanted to send out spa menus to the guests before hand, so they could book different spa things at the resort. I am going to add these in with the brochures I am going to mail. (Morgans template.) So far, the plan is to mail one brochure with general excitement about Cuba sometime in June. This one will include packing lists, luggage allowances, our planned excursion. Things like that. Then mail a second brochure talking about temp, customs, dress code, restaurants, excursions, etc, probably sometime in Sept. I will mail this spa menu along with that. Let me know what you think. If you see any spelling mistakes, whatnot. I am folding it in a trifold brochure. spa1.ppt

not really. I mean, there was a bit of an extra cost from her quote to us. We had gone to another TA to find out how much they would charge....and it was about $100 difference....but, our mind set was...she is doing it ALL for us...we were willing to go that route.

Yah...my TA did. She didn't mail them for me...but she actually PAID to have them made. She is a specialist DW TA....and...she also does the WC for you on this end. So, i don't really have to do anything. She ordered my invites, created my website, sent out my gift registry, organized the wedding, everything. She even gives my guests gifts on my behalf....ie...everyone gets tanning minutes before they go, and i beleive every room gets a passport holder. Plus, Greg and I get tanning minutes too as a gift from her. She is her own small buisness....so goes the extra mile to be the best. She really is a find.

Ok...so....my wedding isn't until Dec 2008. We put our deposit on our trip in awhile ago. Our wedding date is confirmed. Our air travel is confirmed....but our RESORT isn't confirmed. Is this normal? Even our TA is worried about this. She says that usually hotel confirms quickly. But she can't get ANYTHING out of the resort saying that our rooms are confirmed. Now....we BOOKED about 2 years ago....i think i started looking near the end of 2006. We let the resort KNOW we were coming way back then. I am getting worried. Why wouldn't the resort confirm She is always trying to pressure me into getting my guests to book ASAP. Says that if they don't, they may not come. But....its a while away. I know places fill up. But i feel weird harassing people to see if they are coming or not. What if they don't know until closer to the summer time. They can't make it then?? Is this just my TA's way of getting me to get more people? Or is this a legit situation?? And, what is up with the Sandals resort Is it normal to not let people know their rooms aren't booked? What happens if they aren't? What if we can't get in?? We all paid our deposits....what happens then I can't get any answers from my TA, cause she doesn't seem to know...or won't share. Anyone else have this happen to them? Am I over-reacting??

I thought about adding toys...but then thought...how many people would actually USE them. Most of my guests are older family....so...more the lie on the beach kind of people. Not the...hey, lets play frisbee type of people. So, the whimsical thing I am adding is rubber duckies...and even THAT my FI shakes his head at.

What is the pink chart on the side?? I thought it was when everyone was flying there...is it when everyone is staying? What are you going to put in about your guests? I have been playing with this myself. Just their names? Or a brief paragraph about each person..like their jobs, etc.
