  1. I'm so glad that you arrived safely and seem to be settling in well! Take care and have fun!
  2. I'm so sorry for your loss Jessica. I'd give it a few days before you make any decisions about your wedding. I agree with the others though, it might be good to have something positive to look forward to. My condolences to you and your family.
  3. Everything looks very well planned! Lovely story about dancing with your dad. Have a great trip!
  4. Welcome to the forum Carol!
  5. There is a member on BDW who makes these http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t21980 try sending her a PM her name is Agape Gems
  6. Wow! I love the picture of you waiting to walk down the aisle with your grandfather and father. What a special moment! Can't wait to see the full slideshow!
  7. Our son-in-law asked my husband for permission. Katie had told him that it was important to her that when he was ready to propose he had to talk to her Dad first. I hear he was very nervous and I had no idea until after they'd gone home and my husband told me. I then had to keep my mouth shut for what seemed like forever! Was only about a week but it seemed like a long time.
  8. Wow! Love seeing all the details together like this in a thread. The passports are amazing! Your BD book is great! Congratulations on your marriage!
  9. What a great review! I like the way you put some pictures into each section so we can see what you're talking about. You looked beautiful and I'm so glad that everything turned out for you and you were able to have your beach wedding in Punta Cana! Congratulations!
  10. I was going to suggest looking into a shuttle service. Some more northernly city's have a regular minivan or small bus that make once a day trips to Toronto/Pearson airport. I also would look into Nikicrosby's suggestion. Many airport hotels offer specials that include a weeks parking, which by can cost up to $120, depending which service you use.

I think for the Beach/Caribe for a 7 night stay it is only 2 al a cartes and you can only reserve at the restaurants over on that section. For a 7 night stay at the Tropical/Colonial the number of al a cartes is 4. For under 7 nights it is 2. And again you can only reserve at the restaurants on that section of the resort and the ones at the Beach/Caribe (not Palace restaurants). When I stayed at the Palace (October 200 we had unlimited al a cartes. We were there 7 nights. We could chose to make reservations at any restaurant that was open (the Beach/Caribe side was closed at the time). I think the number changes according to occupancy and your tour operator. I think it's between 4 to unlimited for a 7 night stay.
  14. Great report! I'm sure it will be very helpful to any future Dreams Cancun brides. Thanks for taking the time to go into all the details. Congratulations on your marriage!
  15. Happy Birthday Heather! Hope you enjoyed your day!

Even though everyone did bring something I don't think I would have set up a gift table, just have a plan where to keep them and who's in charge of any gifts you get. we didn't have an AHR so that could have been the reason why we got so much in Jamaica. My daughter did exactly the same thing. Gave all the cards to me the day of the wedding. The next morning I still had them and was about the leave the room when I suddenly thought about the cards and threw them in the safe. Good job as some of them had cash in them. So I'd tell whomever is in charge of the cards to put them in the safe just in case!
  17. How exciting for you! Please post when the article is released so we can see it!
