  1. not that i was surprised, but wow, angela you look so beautiful! love these pics!
  2. my husband bought one just before we started dating and he rarely gets acne. the only kind of pimples it works on are DEEP ACNE. the kind that is almost cystic. it doesnt work on regular old little pimples. i broke out a lot during our engagement from stress, and i used the zeno quite a bit and it does NOT make the acne go away, it just makes it a little smaller and slightly less painful.
  3. my dress didn't wrinkle too badly on the way to cabo, but i did have the hotel steam it. my dress was gone for between 24 and 36 hours and i honestly did not worry for more than 2 mins when i first gave it to them. i repeated about 5 times "steam, DO NOT PRESS" and everything was totally fine.
  4. alyssa i wish i was in philly so i could come over!
  5. i merged all 3 of the threads you started posting different volumes of your photos. please don't do that in the future, just keep it all to one thread.
  6. what do you guys think some of the questions asked will be?

Any suggestions? Also, anyone know of some good PhotoBook software to use with MAC? The ones I've found don't allow for much creativity. I like Asukabook.com ... but it says you have to be a professional photog and I don't know how to get around that requirement b/c it asks for your website, company name, etc. I have plenty more questions, but thought I'd see if there are any BDW MAC users first. Tami, we're a Mac-only household LOL Are you sure the external HD is not corrupted? The mac should have no problem reading the files if everything is ok with them. Can you see any other files on the hard drive? P.S. There is also a built-in photo book maker with iPhoto.

Its really hard to say becuase I haven't started looking yet! I made appointments at Priscilla of Boston, Weddings 826, Nicole Miller, White Chicago, Macy's, house of brides and Dimitras. you picked good places to make appointments. you are going to be really tired though LOL. which nicole miller did you make an appointment at? the one near white chicago? (i live like 5 blocks from that nicole miller!) white chicago has nice dresses (all designer), but to be honest is not much of a deal. they are still all mostly in the $1,200+ range for a preworn dress. fyi, house of brides is kind of pushy and they will not really bargain with you at all. one gown i liked there, they would only come down $100 on, and it was not even a gown i loved, so i passed.
  11. Ladies, did you read what Sol Tamargo posted earlier? http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t29960
  12. thanks for the firsthand info sol! it's always nice to have people near where the problem is to give us the real deal rather than relying on other sources.
  13. Kim, as far as you're concerned, everything but the ladies lounge (chit chat threads) is public.
  14. Girls, I am really praying for you that this works out and if you arent able to be in Tulum, that Dreams Cancun will accomodate you & your guests with no problem. Looks like Tammy is doing a great job with keeping in touch with Dreams, and I will continue to read the spanish newspapers looking for updates.
  15. The mods are doing what we can to process the info in spanish (several of us are bilingual) and will post some updates as they become available. Right now I am working on reading everything I can in spanish to create a summary for you guys. As of now, Dreams Tulum is closed, and does not have a scheduled reopening date. So far what I am reading in the spanish newspapers, DT had numerous violations and serious ones at that. Hang tight, we will get you some info ASAP. In the meantime we recommend that you contact your TA immediately.
  16. i'm surprised that there has not been anything on the spanish news about this recently. i am reading all the spanish newspapers i can to get some up to date info (the translation link morgan provided is pretty janky and incorrect because it doesnt account for grammar) and give you all a summary of what is going on.

  18. The only other one that is close to there is this one: Iglesia de San Lucas - The main Catholic Church in Cabo San Lucas This is the most widely-attended church in the area. It was constructed in 1730, and has been under renovation for some time. While the structure is rather simple, it is a tribute to the local history because little has changed in its appearance since the original construction. Location: Avenida Cabo San Lucas and Zapata Street, Cabo San Lucas, BCS, Mexico. Services: Saturdays at 7:00 pm and Sundays at 12:00 noon and 8:00 pm. Bi-lingual services Sunday at 12:00 noon. Phone: (624) 143-2666. if you google images, and type in "iglesia san lucas cabo san lucas" a few photos of it will show up.
  19. Happy Birthday Jac! Hope you & Joe are doing something fun to celebrate Have a GREAT day!

  22. depends what styles/designers you are looking for... can you give us an idea of what you want and i'll try to direct you to a good place? oh also... what is your budget? that will make a huge difference in where i rule out based on price alone.

I can change the time if I need, but I am worried the church is going to be really hot and I will be a sweaty mess!!! Any help is super appreciated! -Megan Hi Megan, I got married August 9th in Cabo, and we did a noon ceremony inside the church with the priest we flew down with us before we did our 6 pm ceremony on the beach with all our guests. It's true there is no AC inside the church, and the few fans inside BARELY work...honestly they didn't make a difference at all. During our quickie ceremony inside the church (literally just a little welcome and then straight to the vows, we only had a handful of family there for the church part), we did not have any lights on. We only had the natural light coming through the windows. It was warm but not horrible. However, the second you step outside the church after the ceremony, it WILL be blazing hot. After our little ceremony inside the church we took a few photos outside and then went directly back to our hotel. I had to shower again only because it was so hot outside when we left the church. The town square area is much hotter than down by the resorts on the ocean. Feel free to PM me with any questions about the church!

    Sad news

Kristy, I am so sorry to hear this. You & your FI & families will be in my prayers. What an incredibly rough time. We're here for you if you need anything!
  25. can you give your MIL a different small task to get her mind off pushing her friends on you as vendors? just be nice and tell her, thanks i appreciate you trying to help but we have already booked all the vendors and paid non-refundable deposits, but i do need help with XYZ if you'd like to really help me out... sometimes the best way to deal with your MIL is to humor her to some extent so you dont hurt her feelings.
