  1. Ok, so my FI is wearing a very light tan suit for our wedding on the beach. I've been looking for tan sandals online and I haven't really found too much. Is it wierd if he wears flip flops or should I look for more closed toe sandals Any suggestions appreciated...
  2. I was thinking I would probably tip the minister, WC, DJ, & the waiters? I have no idea how much though

Second, anyone with my fabulous problem of getting married at 1 and having a reception at 7 who's worried about dying of boredom - Lees tours can book you a private little boat cruise. it's pricey but it'll be a great surprise for everyone (and maybe keep the party going a little longer...). Thirdly, i've seen a few people on here getting married same day as me (Feb 15, 200 have any of you booked the disco from 9-11? If you have and are worried about the "empty" feeling we could always pool wedding parties and share the disco, it'd cut down on costs and could be fun!! (well, i'd love to do it at any rate so if you are interested please email me at [email protected], we have about 20 people going and i'm sure we could each do our own first dances and what have you...). Other than that, still waiting to hear back from Chandlyn about my other questions but hey 3 months and 4 days to go! WOOO! Hey Drhubby- I'm also getting married on Feb. 15th. My wedding is at 4 at the beach gazebo. I'm having about 50 people. My dinner/reception is private at the Plantation restaurant from 6:30 - 10:30. Then we'll probably go to the disco at 11 if we are not completely exhausted!! Can't wait - it'll be here before we know it!!

Thanks I'm not sure... I would hope that includes the flowers.
  5. I voted for the medium look but.... I also really like the shaved look!! Sorry Heidi...
  6. I voted for the gift certificate at the spa... I would love this if I got it as a bm's gift. Also, jewelry is always good too!!
  7. Good luck with getting your date!!! Let us know...

I am not much of the planner/creative type...and am working on a budget..what extras do you guys think are so worth it to pay for at the RIU? also should I be worried I haven't heard from anyone about me confirming my wedding online over a week ago I feel like everyone else has the whole thing planned..hopefully I will be there soon.... How many people are you expecting? 50 and under you can have it at the Mammee Bay Steakhouse (no charge). Over 50 at the Plantation which is private - $500 for 2 hours, $1000 for 4hours. It seems like a lot of us are getting the free wedding package and just adding on extra's like flowers, photography, etc... Do you have a travel agent yet? I would let them take care of confirming everything with the resort.

My coordinators name is Carolina so I am guessing there's more than one coordinator there I just asked her a gazillion questions about the ceremony (like can we write our own vows) so I' ll let you know what I get! But I just wanted to say hi for now! Welcome drhubby!! I am also getting married on Friday February 15th at the Riu. My wedding is at 4:00. Where are you having your ceremony, reception, etc... how many people are you having?
  10. Thanks for sharing - very cute idea's... I'm not sure what I am going to do yet. I know I already have a ton of stuff to bring with. Hmmm... Does anyone know if Chandlyn at the ROR has any centerpieces that we can choose from?

I'll definitely get some of the bronzer too!!
  12. Wow - that is a super cute idea! What do you use for table numbers then?
  13. Thanks for all the info... Does anyone know if they have any good bronzer? I usually keep my face out of the sun so I don't want my body tan and my face white.
  14. Congrats & Welcome!! There are a ton of us ROR brides on here - so much info!!!
  15. Thanks for the info! I'm planning on going within the next couple months so I can get my makeup done then if it looks good buy it for the wedding!!
  16. Mo - How exciting, it's finally hear!! Have a great time and cherish every moment. Congrats!! Take tons of pics!!!

Should I stop wearing the ring until it's tighter? I would get it tightened right away. Mine was loose when I first got it and I took it in. I would not wait - not worth the risk. Especially if it's not insured yet!!
  18. My girlfriend is doing my hair and my BM's. She is a hair stylist so I'm not going to book any hair appointments. I do want to book a manicure & pedicure though so I'll probably do that online.

I'll probably go with that too!
