  1. to the forum! Your getting married the day after me.
  2. It is actually 3 wires kind of braided together. One is pink, one green and the other silver. It didn't show up well on my dark table.

  4. My cousin finished the BM jewelry, and it turned out great! It is all Swarovski crystals so they sparkle like crazy in the light, but you can't really tell from the pic. The green and pinks colors match the dresses really nice, plus there are other colors in there so they'll be able to wear the jewelry with other things.
  5. FI and I will be in Mexico on election day. Does anyone know how we can get a mail ballot so we can still vote?

That made me feel better - i'd been worried about the quality of the spa, and having someone I didn't know do my hair and make-up for the first time. The WC should be able to book your appointment in advance as well. I'm going to have a hair trial done with my stylist at home before we leave for Mexico. I will have her take some pictures of the final style to bring with me. I have a few inspiration pics that I like, but she knows my hair the best. Plus, I don't know if I want to wear my headpiece and veil or just a flower so I'd rather get that decision out of the way in advance rather than trying multiple looks on the wedding day when I'm sure we'll be pressed for time.

I love the antiquey feel. I didn't do crap for the wedding this weekend. I was in MN visiting the fam and getting our engagement pictures done! Here's the thread http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t28247 I love this updo! This is one of my hair inspiration pics.
  8. I'm beachbride08 on flickr too.
  9. They look really cute Yari. I love the colors and the labels turned out great.

I'll have to check out the Avery site when I get home to see if it is compatible with a mac. Sometimes the downloaded programs aren't compatible (Lumapix is one), and I can't download anything on my work lap top. Although, time is going by so fast I don't know if I want to do any more elaborate projects! I still need to finish my programs. I'm hoping to get those done before the end of the month. I have so much to do and no time to do it. I feel like we constantly have stuff going on lately which is not helping. I'm not in Operation Hottie, but I lost 3.5 lbs this week! I'm not sure what I did, but something is working! Ha ha!

This one matched the colors of our invitations so I started using this one on everything. I was using different ones that were a lighter pink initially. I loved your brochures! Did you get order them from Vista Print? Do you have a template to share? I'm thinking something like that might be nice to put in out OOT bags with the itinerary, but I will probably be lazy and just print something out on plain paper. Even the saleslady said we should get 2 for my ring to balance it out. WOW - your ring is beautiful - lucky girl! Thanks! I really love my ring. We got an incredibly great deal on the bands since the jewelry designer made my ering. I initially was only going to get one band, but both FI and I liked my ring better with two. Plus, we looked around at other places to compare prices and we would only be able to get one band for the price she was charging us for two so it made more sense. Especially since her bands matched my ring perfectly and the others didn't. I got lucky!

They had that Lauren Looks Back special on a few weeks ago and they showed Heidi from teh first season ans she looks totally different. I definitely think she has had more than her nose and boobs done. I thought I heard Spencer's father was a dentist so maybe she had her teeth done. Her lips definitely look plumped up. She is just a mess. She looked better before all the work.

I just emailed my WV and asked about storing your stuff.....that idea sounds good to me and helps you on your costs. Would love to see pics though, once you get a chance to get them unpacked again. Also, I would just get standard tea-lights to go in them? Shipping to the US is fine with me. I finally was able to take pictures of the candle holders. The starfish actually came with tealight holders in them already, but I bought a separate bag of 100. I will leave whatever is left for you to use. I don't remember how much I paid for them, but I don't think it was much so don't worry about that. They are unscented. I have 6 packages of two starfish holders, and 12 of the small tealight holders. I think I might look for a table runner, or maybe just a square of fabric to bring with. The WC said any colored linens would have to be brought with, but they would set it up however we wanted. I think the squares might be easier and lighter since I'm not sure how long the tables will be to know if they will be the right length. Then I could just have some flowers in the middle and the candles around it. What do you think?
  14. They turned out great! I love the one with the cyclists, and of you laying down looking at each other. Too cute! The one with the pink shirt really pop.

As the guest list grows this forum is the only thing keeping me sane. Carla We had a travel card in our STDs and with our invites that included our TA's contact info and directed them to our website for additional info. On our STD travel card we did let people know it was too early to book flights since we sent them out a year in advance. We also sent out our invites in June for our November wedding to give people enough time to book if they hadn't already.
  16. I like #1 and #2 the best, but also the white shirt with the jeans in #1 would be cute.
  17. After much aggravation, I was finally able to get the logo I wanted into my Word doc. It's not letting me attach the template, but this is the logo: We also went to pick up my wedding bands! FI took a pic of the set on his camera phone so it's not the best pic. I LOVE the way they turned out! We decided I will wear one band and my e-ring and FI will just put on the last band during the ceremony. It will be a lot easier that way since it is too hard to put all three on at once! I also called the bridal shop and my headpiece is in so I need to go pick that up. Please ignore my ugly unpainted nails. I'm in desperate need of a manicure which I will be getting next weekend before our shower. I can't believe our shower is next Sunday already!
  18. Erica-The shells turned out great! Celina-Thanks for clarifying. I could not figure that abbreviation out for the life of me.
  19. Have a great trip! I can't wait to see pics and hear all about your wedding when you get back.

I also don't want my hair all down either, as it id hot in the Dominican, and I don't want to have a sweaty neck and upper back. If I keep playing with my hair to cool off my neck (which I will) my hair will just get frizzy by the end of the night. We have played with it a bit, and I was hoping for a half up half down, but I'm not sure yet. I also have a tiara, and I don't want my hair pulled tight at the top, as I think it will look way better if I have some looser hair for it to sit on! KWIM? You have such pretty curly hair, I think it would like nice with a half up do. I keep seeing KWIM all over the place- what does this stand for? My favors (the pizza cutters) arrived, they rule!!!!! Happy labor day all!!! Keep us posted on the job. Just think of all the BDW ladies you'll be able to help if you get it! What are you doing for placecards? I was working on my wedding programs last night. I got some ideas on here and I was googling wedding programs. The only thing I want to change is the logo page. I wanted to use the logo that I used for our photostamps because the colors in that one match pretty close to the color of the booklet and ribbon that will be tying them together. For some reason I couldn't get it to insert into the word doc. I used a different logo, but I think it is too big and fills up the page too much. It will be printed on vellum paper. Then I will have two sheets of the ivory shimmer paper that I used for our invites. The only difference is it is paper and not cardstock. I still need to add FI's grandparents names to the "watching from above" part (that is what I borrowed from a BDW bride). I wanted to include my mom somehow, but I felt if I needed to include the grandparents too since I didn't want to just single her out. I have a rosary from her that I may wrap around my bouquet which could also count as my something old. I'm just not sure if it will look dumb since it is gold and everything else I will have will be silver. What do you think? I also thought about doing the picture charm, but the one I found online is pricey. I'm attaching my program drafts. Let me know what you think. I think the logo is too big. I've already mailed out my invites. I do not have enough left to give each person at work a separate invite. I feel like if I were to invite people from work, I would have to invite them all. I would hate for someone to feel excluded. I don't have enough room for everyone, if they were all to rsvp, for dinner. I know that they all won't come, but WHAT IF?? Is it rude to invite people to the ceremony, and then for drinks later after dinner is over? I could some how explain that we are having a more intimate dinner with close family, but would love to share our day with them later? I don't know. I'm stressing out. Wedding is in one month. I have to make up my mind soon! If I do invite them, is it bad to hang a mass invitation? Any suggestions? Otherwise, I'm just not inviting any of them. But then I feel bad!! I invited my core team that I work with and invited a few of my co-workers that I have a close relationship that I used to work with in another department. I worked with a larger group there, but am not close with all of them. Surprisingly most of the co-workers I invited are attending! I guess if you don't have enough room, don't extend an invitation. I'm sure they will understand.
