  1. Congrats and Welcome! I have always dreamed of going to Safari in Africa.... But it is just out of our budget for now... Hope your planning goes well. This site is a GREAT resource!

    Newbie!

    Welcome to the group!
  3. Welcome to this great group. These ladies are a WEALTH of information! You'll love it!
  4. Welcome! Happy planning!
  5. WELCOME to BDW! This is a great place to learn and bounce ideas. The ladies here are wonderfully helpful and full of GREAT ideas and lots of heart!
  6. I voted medium. I like it and bald the best, but Heidi said "no" to the bald.... You both gotta like it - those pictures are gonna be around FOREVER!
  7. Because we will be getting married with NO guests, we will both be in our wedding attire for the AHR. People will want to see us in them. I also look forward to wearing it again abotu 6 weeks after the wedding!
  8. Very nice! I am sure you will be quite stunning in it!
  9. Those look so nice it makes me wish that we were having people join us so that I could send some too! Great job ladies!
  10. I took mine as a gift for Eric for our 1 year anniversary. I was really nervous. However, my photographer was very good about it. I told her what I wanted to accentuate & cover and she worked with me a lot! Talk with your photographer. I am sure you will be FINE! : )
  11. I was randomly shopping when I happened upon my dress... It was before we were even engaged. We had talked about getting married and that we would want a DW. I saw the perfect dress in the clearance prom dresses at JC Penney! It is ivory with a black sash (but I am going to have it replaced with a blue/teal color). It is a halter style with an A line bottom. Because I did not want a train for a DW on the beach, it is perfect. I tried it on for kicks and giggles and KNEW it was right. But I did not buy it. A few days later we ran into one of his ex's that I happened to know. (he didn't bring her up before so he was unaware that we knew each other) He was so embarrased that he had dated her (she has a reputation) that he asked if we were going to break up. I started crying and said that I had found a wedding dress.... So, we went to look at it (yep, I tried it on for HIM) and he said to buy it. I was soooooooooo happy! (it's like our engagement ring - it made it official!). The cost $89.99! It will need a bit of altering, but I am guessing less than $100. I am currently bidding on some shoes on ebay. Looks like I will win in a few hours. $10 (W/shipping). And, I am searching for the veil on ebay and postings..... Total will be under $250!
  12. This is something that I am already stressed about too.... Eric does not want to use parents names (as his father is not a part of his life and I have "4 parents"). I also have to try to make sure my maiden name is in there somewhere as sooo many of my relatives might not recognize my current last name. (I was married before for 5 years, I am a widow) We will only be inviting people to the AHR.... I just don't have any idea where to start.... AAUUGGHHHH!!!
  13. I had thought about "just" fake lashes as I have done that before.... I was worried about them falling off if I did it before I left IN though (as we will leave on a Sat AM and not get married until Wed PM). I looked in my area when I saw your posting.... Prices that I found here are $150-$200! YIKES.... I just dont know if I will be able to do that right before we leave.... Seems pretty pricy.... But also not sure about getting plain old false ones glued on in St Thomas....

  17. I TOTALLY think that they should wear the pink speedos under their outfits for JUST ONE picture.... That would probably end up being the best shot of the group and very memorable!! : )

    new here!

Welcome! You will find that the ladies here are very warm and friendly. I am pretty new too and am still getting used to it all. But any time I have a question, I get lots of help! The ladies here are a wonderful group!
  19. Not sure if there is a Sam's club where you live, but the one here has sapphire/diamond bands! So does our local JC Penneys!
  20. I think you look great! I especially like the first one. It looks great on you! It def has the hourglass figure look in the BEST way. It is very sexy, but not over the top - wonderful!
  21. It's always nice when someone is so happy with a vendor. And, I can see why you were so happy with your photographer! Wonderful pictures!
