  1. WOW! I don't need to worry about being kind. You are right to be concerned for your mother! I have no brilliant or wonderful advice. Sorry. But my heart goes out to you and you will be in my thoughts and I will say a special prayer for you/your family!

Even if I have to pay a little extra money. Also, why o why did she not mention insurance anywhere? does that mean this lovely person really spent 25000 on a ring and did not think to get it insured? then there are her other complaints, these coupled with the ring, I feel like it is a scam. Just my opinion, I just felt when I was reading it that it seemed phoney. Feel free to tell me that you don't agree but that is what my gut is telling me! I agree! If you can afford a ring that costs 25K, then you can probably afford to stay for a couple more days to get things taken care of and properly file a police report. I do have to also say that I never thought about security being able to get into my room's safe until on this site. We always put our passports, cameras, camcorders, etc in it. Now, we will have to come up with a different plan..... AAUUGGHH! What to do with all of that stuff?? My ring, though, will stay ON MY FINGER. (and it is only about 10% of the cost of hers - but it is irreplacable to me!!)

  4. to the forum. I am sorry to say that I am not from Texas, but I wish I were! LOL I really am a Texan at heart - even though I only lived there for a few months years ago.... That is where I feel like I should be!
  5. to the forum! I am sure that you will learn a TON about DW's here!
  6. THANK YOU LADIES! It helped me to understand a bit more. I don't get how computers really work, so the server thing it totally over my head. I get the idea that it helps keep down on "lurkers". Like I said, I just was trying to REALLY get it. This helped some. Thanks to the three of you! I sincerely was wanting to figure it out! Computer programing stuff puzzles me to no end! THANK YOU!
  7. Ashleigh, CONGRATULATIONS! I looked at all of the photos, and your wedding was beautiful! I can't wait for the full review! Since I am planning USVI too, I am anxious for the nitty-gritty details! You looked GEORGOUS! The colors were wonderful. Everything looked perfect! CONGRATS TO YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND!

Maybe a little fluffier. (is that a word?) I add a dash of garlic salt, some pepper - all the stuff I would normally do on the stove - when I make one for me. Sounds odd, but it is quick and easy. My FI even adds some chopped ham to his "double" one now - it's more like an omlet.
  9. Kokomo by the Beach Boys might be good too. Summertime by Will Smith, maybe.
  10. Okay. I have to say that since I read through all of the posts I fell a bit guilty about thinking the "Go Down Moses" guy was sooooo funny. I don't want to laugh at someone with a handicap... But, really - I can't get that song out of my head now! It is stuck - has been since I heard him sing it. AAUUGGHHH!!!!
  11. If you are wanting something that "looks like a wedding cake" you could always do a small 2 tier one. It could be decorated how you would like - fresh flowers, starfish & shells, whatever you like. It could just be a smaller version of a "regular" wedding cake that you like.
  12. In Jr High, our home-ec teacher taught us a quick way to scramble and egg before school - put it in a coffe size stirofoam cup and a dash of milk and stir. Microwave for about 20-30 sec. Stir. Repeat until done. I sometimes add cheese to my daughters. And, if we aren't taking it to go, I make it in a "real bowl" rather than a disposable cup. Quick and easy. I usually just grab a banana for me though!
  13. YEA!!! That is so awesome! And, what a quick turn-around from your trip! GO Amir! GO Amir! BEST WISHES!!
  14. Honestly, I do not understand what the points mean. Besides being able to "buy" stuff - what is their real purpose? It is not "feigning ignorance". I don't get WHY they exist. But, it doesn't matter. I am understanding HOW to use them, and I do. All I meant by still not understanding them is that I do not really understand WHY they exist. I don't understand programing. Maybe it is some tracking thing? Maybe it is to avoid lurkers? Whatever the reason - it doesn't matter as long as I am using them correctly. I was worried about having too few, so I began playing the lottery and have built up some points and no longer worry about that. So, I just use what I need and gain as I go. I am not trying to say that there shouldn't be a point system. I sort of like seeing mine grow and I like winning the lottery and all. I am just saying that I like to learn about things and have questions that I still don't know the answers to about the points. Not some huge deal. Just admitting that I don't know about it 100%. I have looked on here for explanations and can't find them.
