That's a really cute idea We don't have a bridal party, but that would be a really cool plan! 2. Welcome to the forum! I'm no help on S. America, but I think for a lot of us, destination wedding ideas transcend their locals. That being said, if you had a real adventurous bunch you could have a group hike Machu Picchu and get married on the trail. Probably not what you had in mind, but you mentioned Peru and that's what I think about when I think Peru In any case, happy planning and let us know how we can help!
  3. Somehow I missed these pics Mo! Thanks for the Margaritaville ones We're going to the one in Negril, but I'm sure they are similar and it looks like a blast!
  4. I would think that you could just forward the confirmations... it would be annoying, but it would work. I'm using Kodak and paying the $25 so that everyone can download high resolution images for free. I still need to make a card... does anyone have a pic of Angela's? Paging Angela...
  5. Ok - so I just checked the receipt - it was $9.50 per towel incuding embroidery and a $45 digitizing fee for our logo. The digitizing fee is a one time fee so you could do anything you want with your logo from that point on. You could get a slightly lighter weight towel and save on the cost of the towel as well. The least expensive towels start at $5/towel.
  6. I do the same thing - moisturizer with sunscreen and then my makeup I think they do sell makeup with sunscreen, but I'd worry it would clog my pores.
  7. We ordered 1 case which is 24 towels. This idea only worked because we are having a small wedding - they are heavy! But, for those getting married in Hawaii (Alyssa), I wonder if you could ship them there and have the hotel hold them for you? Shipping was included in the price. EDIT - SHIPPING WAS NOT INCLUDED - sorry! It was $24 UPS.
  8. Our guests are all staying for the day after the wedding, which we're using as a free day. We're doing breakfast with them the day they leave though
  9. For those thinking about getting personalized towels for their OOT bags, I got mine yesterday and I'm really happy with how they turned out! We ordered them from Beach Towels by Cannon Wholesale manufacturer of custom embroidery beach towel and got 34x70 ring spun ones. Including the embroidery and digitizing fee they were about $10 each. They look really great! Here's a pic of the embroidery...
  10. Thanks for the nominations Lizz and Carly BTB for my is Allyssa or Morgan - both are always so helpful! Bride - Drea - thanks for organizing the SS!!
  11. I wasn't sure what I wanted so I ordered 2 orchids and a gardenia. They were really inexpensive, so I figured I'd get extra and decide when they came in.

Are you thinking of doing them in a scrapbook once you get them all back? If so - it seems like you might want to buy 2 of each post card - one to give to your guests to be mailed, and one to keep. That way you could mount the written side of the ones that get returned, and the picture side of the one you kept ... Super-neat idea! I was planning on scrapbooking them, or making a really rustic book out of the postcards - punch holes on the sides of the postcards and then lace them together into a book. I like your idea of buying 2 of each card though I guess it will depend on how expensive the postcards are when we get there. I think I'm definitely going to do this - we'll figure out the logistics in Jamaica!
  13. I got mine as alligator clips because they were 3-4" flowers and I thought that would work best for my hair. If you look on her website you can see what the backings look like...

  15. Not sure if I saw someone had done this on here... but I was thinking of getting postcards in Jamaica, giving them to everyone at the wedding prestamped and having people mail them to us from Jamaica in lieu of a guestbook. What do you ladies think? Has anyone done this? Do you have pics of what you did afterwards?

I won't know until they arrive, but the website is certainly not cheap, and they are the same flowers
  17. Hey guys - I just ordered hair flowers on Ebay from the seller gabbymacdesigns - she is having a 1 day sale where everything is 50% off the already reduced prices she uses on Ebay. I haven't gotten them yet (obviously), but they look really nice! Her normal website is Hair Flowers - but what she offers on Ebay is much cheaper and with the sale, its a great steal! Oh - and for the Canadian gals - she's actually in Canada, so this will definitely work for you!
  18. We are staying in Jamaica, but changing locations. We are spending a total of 7 nights where we are getting married, and then another 8 nights elsewhere. We get to Jamaica 4 nights before we get married (which is really soon!!!!).

Love this Melissa!!! Thanks! I'm doing a trial in a few weeks with my hairdresser, so I may try this
