  4. Welcome back! I'm glad everything went so well. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing your pictures. I may be contacting you for advice as well, since I'm getting married at Sandals Grande Ocho Rios and some of the elements will be similar.

  6. I completely relate to wanting to go alone. I planned to go for the first time by myself too. I booked an appointment and took the day off from work to go in peace and try on dresses. Since I'd never tried on a dress, I just wanted to do it in peace and relish the experience, but my sister found out I was going and insisted on joining. She told me it was a bad idea to go alone and said part of the fun was the company. Inevitably, I was glad she was there, but the next week I snuck off to a shop on my own! Tee hee!

  21. Welcome Sandy! Nice to see another bride from the Maryland area!

Thanks for the mini review! I've never been to Jamaica, but chose Ocho Rios cuz it reminded me the most of Hawaii with the lush gardens, waterfalls, mountains, and ocean. I chose Sandals b/c it was the best deal for the money for me and guests. I really like that the welcome reception and rehearsal dinner are incl free. I have mixed feelings about the "cookie-cutter" nature of it all, but since this will be the majority of my guests 1st time in Jamaica, I wanted them (and us) to be able to go and not have to keep paying for various activities, food, etc. I'm getting married and Sandals Grande Ocho Rios. I'm looking forward to checking out the waterfalls. I have been to the Bahamas though and it's beautiful!
