    Congratulations and
  2. We invited about 120 people and expect 50-60 to attend.
  3. Kendra, these look amazing! I love the orange palm trees and the splashes of green. Your guests will be blown away.
  4. Congratulations Tammy on a safe delivery! Welcome Jackson!!! Peace and blessings to you and your family.
  5. Looks very nice! My one suggestion would be that you not combine your RSVP's with your guestpage comments. It could get confusing. Is there a way to separate them?
  6. My DIY STD's cost a little over $160. I made 70 invitations. The cost includes paper costs, materials (rubber stamps, perferators, envelopes), and mailing stamps.
  7. My issue with I Do I Do was that they didn't really carry a large variety of sizes. I found several dresses I loved, but not in the correct size. I think it's a good idea to shop all the more expensive shops to try on the dresses, and then find your favorite online for less money. (That's my goal!)
  8. I used the generic clipart from Microsoft. I just searched for palm trees and picked the one that fit the best. The palm tree and the "Save the Date" on the blue boarding pass cover is a stamp. I used bronze ink and bought both from Michaels.
  9. Haven't heard of Stella's, but can't hurt to check it out. Oh yes, I also went to "I Do I Do" Bridal in Gaithersberg, MD, which sells consigned dresses as well as new. It was actually very nice and the people very helpful.
  10. Hi! I just went looking yesterday at Betsy Robinson Bridal out in Baltimore. However there was nothing there for less than $1,000. I also plan to check out Katherine's of Old Town (Alexandria), Rizik in downtown DC, and Nikki's Creations in Greenbelt, MD (just for proximity.) I'm not sure about the price points for any of these places, but picked them because they carry some of the designers that interest me. Where have you looked?
  11. I think this is a great idea. Very novel idea. Your guests will love to have it as a keepsake. (Almost like making your own "Married Away" show!)
  12. They both are too cute!!! (The palm trees are turning out to be a theme of mine... hmmm! Where are they from?)

Yeah girl, I DID have to cut each and every one out! Talk about a pain. The first night Michael helped me (and he turned out to be much better at it than me!) My sister (MOH), mother, two aunts and cousin came over and we made an assembly line and made a party out of it. I'll caution you with this route, because no one's standards will be as high as your own! LOL!! I found this out the hard way cuz my mother and aunts totally jacked up SEVERAL! (I never knew she couldn't cut a straight line!) Then there were several that were stapled together out of order or with two of the same panel. Overall, a fun bonding experience!
  14. Hey Lizz! You can request the template on her website and she will email it to you. There was no charge for the template. It's very generic though and not the one she uses when she creates them herself. I tried at one point to see if she could print them for me, but she told me that since they were created with the different template, she couldn't. I'm happy to send it to you if you like.
  15. Thanks! So sweet! It was taken right after Michael proposed to me at the RuthChris restaurant in Alexandria, Virginia. It's funny cuz both of our eyes are puffy and bloodshot from crying! LOL!
  16. These are so beautiful! Thanks for starting this post. My FI also lost him mom and we want to honor her as well during the ceremony. I LOVE the sayings that you posted. So beautiful!
  17. Printing isues were a big part of why it took me so long to print these out! Whenever I converted the file to a PDF, it looked blurry and not crisp (thanks to the dafont.com fonts I used) so I eventually took it to work on a weekend and printed them on one of the color printers! I guess we're even then, cuz I LOVE your monogram Lulubelle! Very nice!

I was a bit irked. It's true, the service there was the best of all of the places I've been, but if you're worried that the bride will end up getting the dress somewhere else once she knows the designer (as she made it sound, that was the case), then why don't you trust your own service??! Your store's service should be good enough for the bride to feel confident to go back there! I've heard that stores don't want to give out the designer info cuz they don't want you to use the information to find the dress elsewhere possibly for less money! It's another tactic of the bridal industry!
  19. I'm also using turq/aqua, but I'm calling it "lagoon" (borrowed from a wedding mag! LOL!) Here is the inspiration for my wedding colors, (lagoon, bronze, and pale gold) I LOVE the colors in this compact!
  20. Thanks guys! It was definitely a pain to do, but worth it in the end. I used a template from Aylee.
  21. My STD's have finally been sent out! (I know, I know...late, but atleast I finished it!) I am not a crafty person, but I'm so proud of the finished product. I think I definitely will be ORDERING the formal invitations!!! (Sorry they're so big!! Don't know how to resize!)
  22. You know, that's the one thing Michael won't tell me...where he bought the ring. Hmmm...I'm going to ask him again.

That's so funny that you said that cuz I did exactly that a few weeks ago at a jewelry shop in the building I work in and was so paranoid about it I RAN back down there after 10 minutes to retrieve it! LOL!! All I could think about was, "How long would it take to replace a diamond!?!?!?" I think I'll wait in the store from now on!
