As far as locations, I have seen some beautiful pictures from Tulum weddings... let us know how we can help narrow your search down:)

  11. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!! I am so happy for you Heidi. I know how much you dread going to work every day, and this seems perfect for you (minus the time off). I know it's hard switching jobs, but this seems like a really good opportunity. As for the time off, since they obviously want you to work there, is there anyway to negotiate more time off? I feel like a week is standard... but what do I know, I don't even have full time employment
  12. I have to confess - I am totally one of those people who doesnt tag their luggage! I am sorry. I just always assumed that the white strip the airline attaches is enough I promise to put tags on all my luggage from now on
  13. That's my china pattern!!! I was totally against registering for china, originally because I come from a family that buys their "fancy" plates from those boxed sets that cost $50 for 8 settings. Then I noticed that I was very hostile whenever FMIL mentioned it... I even caught myself telling my mother that FI's mom was "pretentious and stuck up" for pushing it. Finally it occured to me that I was being totally judgmental and that I really liked the idea of setting a beautiful table for holidays with my family. I just had it stuck in my head that I hated china because it was too expensive. My mom used to set the table with my grandmother's china, but she stopped when she couldnt afford to replace all the missing pieces. As soon as I realized that I wanted to be able to set tables like she used to, I registered for the Vera Wang lace pattern... 16 settings! Wow, sorry about going on and on... what I am trying to say (in an unnecesarrily long and round about way) is that if china is important to you, buy it. It doesn't have to be that patern - you can always go to waterford or lenox outlets and get a great deal. If you couldnt care less or rather wait to have it passed down to you, save your money and get something you really want with the 2 sets you got.

Heidi you are quite possibly marrying the funniest guy in the world! I vote for whatever Glenda voted... she is too freakin funny to disagree with
  15. When I was shopping around for a dress, places like Kleinfelds and Pricilla of Boston told me they would "package" my dress for the plane ride in some special way. Why not call them and see what they have to offer? They could be completely full of crap, but it doesnt hurt to call
  16. So... I got my deliery of invitatio boxes, and I have to admit that I am a bit disappointed. I purchased the 9x6x2.75 in glossy white, and I was really hoping they would look less like corrugated boxes and more like gift boxes you get from a store (think bloomingdales or victoria secret 2-piece boxes in glossy white). FI thinks now we should get jewlerly box-looking ones in natural brown (I think they are called "Kraft") to put the invitations into, but that would be a box in a box! To add to my problems, I can't find the right size jewelry boxes so I would have to trim all my paper by a .25 inches! How the hell am I gonna be able to trim all my paper?!?! Urgh, can someone please tell me why I decided to make my own invitations?!?!
  17. I concur! It sounds like a really really useful tool for those of us that tend to forget when credit card bills are due Although, I am definitely a little weary of keeping ALL my account information in one place. I mean, I always use online banking, but what are the odds that all the different sites get hacked, you know? This way, all my stuff is in one place... makes me a little nervous
  18. If you want something fancy but don't want to put out the big bucks for letterpress, try thermography. It's raised printing at half the price. I spent about 3 months of my life freakin out about invitations (which are still not done, by the way) and the only way I could tell between letterpress and thermography is if you flip the card over and look for the grooving that letterpressing creates.
  19. Awww, I love your pics! It looks like everyone had a blast and I bet the food was amazing!
  20. We were going to bring toasting flutes that we got as an engagement gift, but then changed our mind when we realized how much other crap we have to bring... but I mean, FI and I are the laziest people EVER (so you might want to disregard my opinion)
  21. Happy wedding day!!! I hope you both have the most amazing time... can't wait to hear all about it!!!
  22. Oh Evonne, your dress and hair are so beautiful and romantic! The pictures of you and your husband looking at each other show so much happiness and love ... and Elizabeth - way to capture all that emotion! I just looked at the slideshow and everything looks just perfect!
