So I have been toying with the idea of scrapping formal invitations and just mailing all our guests a short dvd of FI and I inviting them to our wedding. I got the idea when I was thinking of ways to make our STD's more creative, but then I started studying for the bar and completely forgot about it. FI and I thought it would be really cute to do a short (maybe 5 minutes) video. We met in high school 7 years ago and both our parents still live in that town so we thought we would start the video there, then film a little in Atlantic City (where we "met" for the second time) and eventually started dating. We would finish up in our apartment in Boston... I just really want to do something personal and fun that would make our guests laugh Opinions, suggestions, criticisms... is this a stupid idea?

I bought a ton of small shells at the Dollar Tree and I got sand on sale at pottery barn

Any suggestions on where I can find travel size sunscreen for cheap? I want to find a brand I am familiar with because sometimes generic gets sticky and gross ...

I think I am so burned out from staring at my laptop that it just didnt occur to me to actually pick up the phone and speak to a real person So I just found out that they are in fact 12 for 30 - I am sooo excited. I haven't been able to find them anywhere for less than $4... also, thanks to your free shipping code, I will be able to order them today!

I have 9 and he has 8! I know it's sounds like so much but 5 of my bridesmaids are family (sisters, SIL, cousins). As for FI, he has a group of friends from college that are so close he had to include them all

I totally sympathize! I actually had the "this is my dress" moment but it was totally out of my price range. Lucky for me I found a dress that I loved (a little less) a couple of weeks later and I am happy that it's affordable and really pretty... I learned that there are SOOO many dresses out there and you could look just as beautiful in any number of them! Your wedding is such a big important day that it's only natural to second guess your decision.... Bottom line - the girls on this forum gave me great advice - on the day of your wedding, you will be so happy and so in love you won't even notice your dress so don't stress yourself out about it!

Stunning dress! So sexy and classy all at once

I am super worried about screwing up so I did a little bit of everything just to be safe! 1) About a month ago we contacted all of our guests by email and/or phone to let them know our wedding is in Mexico. 2) I am hoping (fingers crossed) that my STD are going out in the next week or so, but apparently we are having font issues (whatever that means). Also, our STD have an October 31st RSVP deadline for the room block. We figured that this will give us and our guests plenty of planning time, whether they like it or not! If I have learned anything from this forum, it's that DW guests tend to, well, suck... I am hoping such an early RSVP date will force my guests to get their s*it together 3) I plan on sending out invitations around Jan/Feb... I figured it would be a nice reminder about 4-5 months out. 4) I am also considering sending out a newsletter a month before the wedding with info regarding weather, travel, etc Also, I have a website with all our info that I update constantly... hope this helps!
