I am so sorry you have to go through this? My grandmother passed away in April also and I think at that time you posted on my thread. I know how you feel about always being the rock. I tend to be stronger too and because of that the same thing happens others lean on me and then I don't feel like I can turn around and lean on them. Not because they won't let me but because I won't let myself but inside I need to let it out and that is part of why this forum has been a wonderful outlet for me! I can express my true feelings to you guys and I get some great advice and a lot of shoulders! Let me know if I can do anything to help you out through this time. It will be hard but you will move forward and get past this...just try and hang in there as best you can. My thoughts are with you and your family! ;(

Wow it seems like you are going through a lot right now...try and take a breather. I know it's easier said that done but you need to keep healthy so don't overdue it.

Sorry!! The most important thing I took away from my destination wedding was that you CAN NOT take anyone else into account when making your plans and I do not take that lightly! I had issues myself and it always came down to the ones that you cater to and bend over backward for and then they just decide one day no as if it affects no one else! I feel your pain and I am sorry you have to go through this! hang in there and you guys should still plan the weding you want...even if it's just the two of you.

Okay...I just read this whole thread and OMG!!! I can't stop laughing! You gals are funny...we have video and everything! I hadn't heard of the diva cup...but back in the day when instead came out I tried that so that i could have sex...I was paranoid that it would get stuck up there! I think I am okay with my tampons...I have no problems with them. I never feel them and I shouldn't admit this...but I often forget and am too lazy to change it...since I am a light flower (due to the pill) it doesn't fill up fast and I will put one in in the morning before I leave for work and not change it till I get home!!! :0 That's tmi I know. Very interesting though.

I had thought about sleeping in my girlfriends room the night before (2 of them came w/out their husbands and so it would be a girl thing) but that night was when alot of our guests arrived and so we all stayed up pretty late drinking and everyone ended up in our room ordering room service until 1:30am so by the time everyone left it made not sense to split up anyway and I was too drunk and tired to worry about packing crap to take to another room so we stayed together and had breakfast together then parted around noonish..

Here is what we didn't do... no large bridal party (moh & bm only) no garter toss (didn't even wear one) no boutinnere no tie for groom no special dances (only bride & groom) no head table for bridal party no bouquet toss my mom gave me away no engagement party no rehearsal dinner/welcome dinner no ring bearer or flower girl no dj - ipod instead we stayed together the night before no gifts for parents no gifts for each other ivory dress vs. white showed groom exact dress prior to wedding had a destination wedding

I also think it depends for all the above reasons...I too am picky about my bottoms because I am unhappy with my bottom half...so if you are close enough to know their style then sure...or maybe it doesn't have to be a surprise gift? you could take them shopping? What about a swim suit cover up that all match kinda like people get the "bridesmaid" tank tops?
