Welcome! Looks like you have a great start on planning--being here is a wonderful first step.

There usually isn't any rational reason to worry about most things but I think most people do. I hope you are able to hear your sweeties heartbeat and that everything is wonderful! Are you both going?

Ha, dropping lumber! That is great news!

I guess I would say you could invite just the one. If you are friends with her you sure could invite her. You poor thing--your family really is making this tricky on you! -

Thanks girls! Thing have gotten worse but we are working through it. We need another $500 in work just to get up to code. Chris is out trying to get things figure out right now. Uugh. Yes we sure can get money from his parents but his mom isn't the sweetest thing and may hold it against us later.

Good luck! Wishing you prego!!

This is so odd, I feel like I know so many of the lovely ladies on BDW but there is also so much about you I don't know. I thought I would follow in Ann's footsteps and tell bit about myself. Right now I am in school to become a massage therapist and I am enjoying the learning process but worry that I won't be able to cut it in the field. My Fiance Chris is working on selling off his previous business and is helping his parents out by doing commercial sales for their business. We live in New Brighton, mn and have one very crazy ass dog and two cats that like to toy with the dog. I love photography and anything that involves me being creative. If I could make one different invite for each guests I sure would. We orginally had a DW set for Lake Tahoe but due to life sucking for a moment we have to keep it local. But you gals/guys can't get rid of me so I am staying put!

Thanks to you all for your kind words! It has been a difficult day but I am very aware it could be WAY worse than it is. Shivering while washing my hair really isn't all that bad. Oh and Ann if you want to help out you sure can come be our DJ!! We can't afford one so we are renting the equipment.

This have been a little difficult at our house lately so I am asking for prayers, well-wishes- whatever! Chris started a business venture that has not panned out and he didn't want to admit it wasn't working so he held onto it longer than he should have. Only within the past month has he confessed it wasn't going well and he was going to stop doing it. He does have a second job but right now 2 of us are living off that income. I work when I can but school is draining most of my time. Well a few nights ago I went to take a shower and there was no hot water! There was a small gas leak so we grabbed the animals and left the house to wait for the gas company to come and check us out--they shut off the gas to the water heater. So we had to wait a few days because of the holiday but finally the repair guy came and said the water heater was dead and needed a new one. We went out today and got a new one but that took a LOT of our tiny bit of money. If we could move our wedding date we would but at this point we have put down so many deposits that we would stand to loose over $1,000. I know this is how life goes but right now I feel like a child trying to plan a really big party with her tiny allowance. Chris' parent told us they were going to give us $1,000 for the wedding but only ended up giving us $500 so that is causing us issues. Sorry- I will stop now, it just feels good to get this all out there. We know we are perfect for each other and I never doubted this wasn't the best idea ever ( getting married) but I question if pretending we have money is so smart.

This is a tricky one. I would be upset if my cousin was having a wedding and didn't invite me even if I was lacking the money to go. I would have like to have been given the option to work it out if I wanted to go. That being said ( I know this wasn't your question) I wouldn't invite them to the shower. It is like saying you can't come to my wedding but you sure can give me a gift. Because we all know that is exactly what showers are about. I am just being straight forward with you here... -
Congrats!! He is so sweet looking.

Checking in---just a heads up, I did this once before and freaked everyone out! I am doing pretty well, I am off from school for winter break so I am getting tons done. I have ordered my dress and will have it in February. I hope you are able to find something pretty soon--are you looking to just buy off the rack? We have sent out invites to our OOT guests ( I started as a DW but now am doing local) We have our rings. FH needs to order tux I need to talk to my sister about flowers. Talk to my mom about the cake ( she's making it) See if the "free" wedding coordinator is going to pan out and then thank God I found her. Find a dj or keep loading songs on top laptop to play that night. I have already found someone to do my hair. I am feeling pretty good about what I have done and what I have yet to do. Slowly working on stuff over the past few months is really paying off. Granted my house is a huge mess because there is wedding stuff everywhere -
Welcome to the forum and have fun.
