Target sells wedding dresses!?
StephanieMN replied to Birdie07's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I looked into doing that myself but I read the reviews that some people had posted on the dresses and they were not good. It would be a great idea for a TTD or an AHR. Thanks for sharing it. -
Good site for wedding bands

I always make sure I'm wearing something thats OK before I take a picture for ebay now. I think the prices are definitly realistic. Jewelry stores have huge markups & sell stuff for what people would be willing to pay, not based on the cost of making it. Tungsten & titanium are cheap metals so it doesn't need to cost $100+. It's just a simple band so there isn't a lot of craftsman ship that goes into making it. I told Mike I found him a $10 ring & he was really happy about that. Thanks again for posting this. I'm really excited to know his size and order the ring. Ha! Yes I noticed that too. The ring makes my boobs look huge!! I am so glad to help out. Anything a bride can do to save money is great. -
Happy Birthday Dear Shelley (beachbride)!

I actually bought the folders about 5 months ago at a stationary store that was moving locations so we got a great deal on them, this is what I have found for you...http://www.paper- source.com/cgi-bin/paper/cm/2550.001/envelopes/enclosures/ I got my logo done but Heidi fixed the colors for me as we change from red to magenta. I honestly can't remember the site that made them for me but there are several good ones. I printed out logo on clear labels and just stuck them to the paper that I got from Micheals in the scrapbooking section.

Good site for wedding bands

It isn't easy to get the colors to work well since the flash just causes a glare. Here is the tungsten ring on my thumb. You can see it has the comfort fit curve to it and Chris really likes it. This will show you my ring next to his. This helps you to be able to see the color difference. Mine is just a silver band and his is more of the grey color. I can tell you for sure the prices are correct. Since I am not a jeweler I can't say FOR sure that the quality is awesome but we really like them. Mine is stamped with the 925 (sterling stamp) Let me know if you need to know the thickness of the band. I think mine is 3mm so you can kind of figure out how big his is. I have a larger frame so the ring looks smaller on me that it would on most. -
Yeah I have heard of cookie buffets and we really did toss around the idea of doing that instead but stuck with the candy.

They will not be getting the folder as we only bought 20 of them since our guest list was a smaller when we were having a DW. So that was the trade off-- people who get folders get cheap JoAnn ribbon and in-town people get nicer ribbon from boutique but no folder. I swear to God I thought people would compare their invites and that I would have to explain this---so odd am I!

But, now that I know he only plans to wear it when we go out, comfort isn't as much of an issue. I guess durability shouldn't be as much either then. Wow that was a cool comparison. I do have to agree that Tungsten is pretty heavy but I think anyone can get used to it. It is also more of a grey/silver, like some kitchen appliance ( how romantic am I ?) I really can't encourage you enough to give it a shot. We got our stuff in less than a week and like I said, we love them. -

We have them! Chris loves his...it does have that comfort fit thing where it curves around nice. We even ordered it in two sizes as he is a half size, that way if the one was too big/too small we could keep them both as returning it won't be worth the money. Want me to post photos? -

I spent most of today swearing at my printer beacuse I only had a few demo papers left to test on!! I recommend, if you do these things with your FI, that you have him collect all the info then you can make it pretty. That is what we did and it worked well. He wrote it up and I made it girly.

We bought our wedding bands from this site Wholesale Sterling Silver Jewelry | Titanium | Tungsten | Stainless Steel | Gold | SilverDepot.com and they are very nice. Chris got tungsten ( he works on machines) because it is strong and I wanted a simple silver band. We are very happy. Wholesale Sterling Silver Jewelry | Titanium | Tungsten | Stainless Steel | Gold | SilverDepot.com is the ring he got. And yes you are reading the prices correctly!! They are great! We saved TONS of money and got the rings we wanted. I also got my wedding earrings here too. Wholesale Sterling Silver Jewelry | Titanium | Tungsten | Stainless Steel | Gold | SilverDepot.com

Type on Spanx. Nordstroms Rack has a great deal on them, I was out there a few weeks ago and they were like $15. I have heard good things about them.

Since we are now getting married here we thought we should still send out invites now to our out of town guests so they can book travel and hotel. These will be going out Monday. Just thought I would share with you. They are folders and here is the front Heidi fixed the colors on the logo so they look MUCH better ( Thanks!!) this picture is small but you can kind of see what we have done. The invite is taped to the inside of the folder and the rest of the information is tucked inside. This is information on where to book, how to get to the site and our RSVP card. Here is the invite. I blurred out the time because just about any wacko can come to the site at that time and crash our party. Only BDW girls can crash my party!!

Thanks girls. We just found an even better hotel and they are not charging us!! I guess they don't like to put them in the rooms incase they need to move rooms around. We are not doing favors that day but we are doing a candy buffet which people will take the treats home so in a round about way it is a favor.

Oh how fun! Thanks for sharing.

That is pretty cool, now I just need to figure out how all of you have put your little avatar thing in your siggy,

Welcome to the greatest forum.

I am wondering what most of you are paying to have the hotel hand out your OOT bags at the front desk? We just were told the Sheraton in town is going to charge us $5 per bag to give them to our guests at the front desk!! That will be $70 for this. We were quoted $1 a bag (brought to the room) in Tahoe. I asked FH to tell them we are looking at another hotel that is offering to do it for $2 in hopes that they will lower the price. We have a plan "B" so I am not too worried about it. Tell me what you are paying. Pretty please!
