  1. I work with Luke Wilson a lot and he does a GREAT job. I like him because everything runs like clockwork and looks AMAZING, yet he is so laidback. http://www.lukesevents.com I think he would be happy to travel.
  2. I agree with the others - I think it's VERY cute! But I don't think it really looks like something for Mexico.
  3. Maybe this photographer has specific reasons, but asking for cash sounds very sketchy to me. I accept checks and credit card payments.
  4. I think you should definitely send invitations yourself. Not that you have to spend a lot of money on them and go out...but something.
  5. Welcome! I'm shooting a wedding at Moon Palace the first weekend in March so I should have lots of pics real soon!
  6. I have the perfect book - it's called Body Sculpting Bible for Women. Amazon.com: The Body Sculpting Bible for Women, Revised Edition: The Way to Physical Perfection (Body Sculpting Bible): Books: James Villepigue,Hugo Rivera,Nicole Rollolazo,Robert Kennedy Seriously - it is the BEST! It normally takes me forever to get my arms defined, but this book is doing it fast! It provides a great program for really switching everything up so you get great results.
  7. If you end up getting the short dress also, I wonder if it would look good to tie a sash around it like this...
  8. I really like #1 - it's pretty and simple. Plus - it looks like something you could be really comfortable in and have a lot of fun in at your wedding. I like #2 also, but #1 just looks free spirited. I can picture you walking through the sand, wading in the water, and having a blast in it. I think you could get some great earrings and shoes to really dress it up if you wanted to. But that's just my 2 cents - I like brides to have F - U - N!
  9. #2 is awesome - it's a little different than what I've seen a million times and it looks FABULOUS on you!
  10. I like #1 best, but I think #2 looks more cabo.
  11. Thanks y'all. It was a lot of fun! I wish I had been given the opportunity to do something cool with my dress "back in the day" when I was married! lol
  12. Hi - welcome! Everyone here is great - you will get lots of help!
  13. I just wanted to encourage you all to have some FUN in your wedding dresses! I went to Savannah, GA over the weekend to trash some dresses and thought I would share the photos with you. I encourage you to let your photographer do this type of session with you - so much fun! You can see the pics on my blog. There are two posts...the beach post explains dress trashing.
  14. I used fake flowers because I wanted magnolias. They were really pretty at the time (but not so pretty now) - my mother's friend is a designer and she made them for me. I must mention that this was 1996 to help explain. lol Honestly, I have my bouquet - it's kind of smashed - and I'm always thinking, "Why in the heck did I use fake flowers??" There is just the freshness and aliveness of real flowers. If I had it to do over again I would choose a really simple, small "real" bouquet.
  15. Hey, I've never been to Hawaii, but I have a few friends who have lived there. I'll check with them and see what they say this afternoon if someone hasn't already answered your post.
  16. Here is a pic of one that a client of mine used... http://photos1.blogger.com/x/blogger...235685/001.jpg

  18. Hi, My computer is reallllyyyy slow tonight and I got frustrated before I could spend much time on the website. My standard advice is to ask to see several complete weddings from a photographer. If you see all of the photos from several weddings (not just one), and you're happy with what you see, then you should be fine. The other thing to consider is personality - which is harder to get a feel for when planning a destination wedding. Maybe you can chat with him by email or over the phone a little. Best wishes!
