  2. No. We're not using the resort photog because I didn't feel as if the resort photogs were that talented. We are using Vincent from Sol Tamargo Photography Wedding Photojournalism If you click on her blog and type in "Paradisus Riviera Cancun" in the search bar you can view weddings that were shot at the Paradisus.
  3. I don't have any reviews, we did not do a site visit but, I think someone on this forum did one and she said the food was outstanding!
  4. Welcome We're getting married there on 11/29/07!

I'll post more pictures when I get the actual CD next week. I'm going to see if I could get them to do our Mexico wedding. Can't wait to see more pics!!! I emailed your photog but he they weren't available to shoot our wedding... pooh. I'm bummed because your pics (2) looked soo good. But, they did recommend another photog so I'm crossing my fingers. Oh, and I just have to comment ~ you are so incredibly tiny (by tiny I mean skinny). Yes, I know random comment but I had to throw that out there. Thanks again for the review, Monika : )
  13. OH my gosh! I just went on your photog's website, clicked "Engagement" and the first 2 pictures were of you guys! Did you get your pics in yet?? BTW ~ they looked hot!
  14. Thanks for the great review!! We're also doing our legal ceremony in Vegas, after our symbolic ceremony in RM in November so this review is super helpful!! Sorry to hear about the Chapel but, it sounds like you made the best of it but, from what I saw everything looked beautiful!

  17. Thanks girls for all your belated birthday wishes!!! So nice of all of you For those who are interested, I spent my birthday and entire weekend painting our condo that we're planning on moving into... I can't belive how much WORK is involved in painting I was sooooo exhausted!! Sunday, my b-day, FI and I had dinner reservations at Shaw's which is a seafood resturant in the suburbs about 30 mins from home, we'll when we got there they told us that the main dining area was closed and that they could sit us at the bar! I was sooo furious!! Here we are dressed up and wanted to spend a romantic dinner together sitting at the bar! So we decided to leave and travel another 30 mins in the opposite direction for a steakhouse. We'll half way there the phone rings and its Shaw's saying that I left my camera at the resturant... AHRHHHHHH! So lets just say we did a whole lotta driving that night. We finally sat down and ate around 9...when we started off the night at 6:30! Oh well, at least I'll always remember that night LOL! OH, I had tuna shashimi and creamed spinach (really weird combo I know), and FI had a filet and steak fries. soooo yummy!
  18. AWWWW THANK YOU SOOO MUCH EVERYONE!!!!!! you guys made my weekend. its soooo nice to be part of this forum.. everyone is so sweet and kind!! I hope all of you enjoy your long weekend! Love, Monika
  19. I'm having my dress made by my local seamstress. I would recommend working with a seamstress because you can completely customize your dress and make sure everything fits the way its suppose to.
  20. We're getting married on November 29th. Our reception is outdoors. WC never mentioned it being the rainy season or anything like that. Even the wedding weather from weather.com has N/A under rain average precepitation. (Wedding Planner - My Wedding Weather Preferences)

We are getting married at the Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe in Playa Del Carmen. Although I've heard its under construction so we may have to swicth to the Nuestra Señora del Carmen Church. I'm still waiting to hear back from Father Bernard Quinn on this. Then we are having the reception on a partially covered terrace overlooking the ocean at the Paradisus Riviera Cancun Hotel in Puerto Morelos (about 15 drive from Church to Hotel without traffic). I hired an outside photographer and had to pay for a day pass for him to enter into the hotel. Our fee was $100. Contact your WC at the Bahia, she should know how much the day pass is.... that is if you have to get one. Hope this helps! Feel free to ask anymore questions and pm me if you want. Good Luck! Monika
  22. That's what we're doing. Ceremony at a Church in Playa, reception at our hotel. Let me know if you have any questions.
