  1. Erin I'm so late to this but CONGRATS! I didn't even know you were looking to buy a house. I must have missed the thread. This is such awesome news. I saw the pics the place looks great! I love the bathroom it looks super cute. And do you have a closed off front porch? I love those!
  2. Alyssa I don't have one off the top of my head b/c I don't speak Hebrew but I can ask my friend for you. She had a nice one at her wedding. I'll email her now.
  3. I'm so bad that I don't have subscriptions, I just buy them the day they come out b/c I can't wait! I mostly have an addiction to celebrity weeklies. I buy those religious. US Weekly, InTouch, Star, etc. I'm pathetic I know but I can't help it.
  4. Jaime I don't have cystic acne so I really don't know how to treat it but my husband has it. He has really oily skin, huge pores, and he gets it on his back and neck at times too. He was on acutane as a teenager and I know that helped a lot but it is a very strong medication. He doesn't take it now but what I do is help him exfoliate his back in order to ensure that it stays clean. I know you will hate this suggestion but could you stop wearing make-up for awhile? Make-up (no matter how organic or natural) just puts gunk into your pores and spreads the bacteria from one spot on your face to another. Washing your brushes often (like twice a month) will really only help someone who has average skin. If you are suffering from bad acne then you would literally need to rewash after each use. That can get a bit crazy. If I were you I would look up a dermatological specialist and see what they say. I would also for the meantime try to limit your dairy intake and stop wearing make-up. It might help clean up your skin. Another thing I would recommend is to wash your face frequently and to shower immediately after the gym. If you hang out in your workout clothes after sweating, it will just make the condition worst. Also unfortunately it seems that the products that work the best on James are the expensive ones. Their usually expensive for a reason. I def think you should try Arbone Jaime b/c I know so many people who had cystic acne and they rant and rave about this product.
  5. That's such a nice thing to say! Its really all due to Tammy and the great policies she has for this forum. Not to mention the hard working mods who make sure everything stays organized and that there is no spamming. But the greatest part of this forum is the great members who contribute and help everyone out. Its one happy family if I do say so myself!
  6. You can get legally married whenever you wish! The resort doesn't care when or where you get legally married. They just care that you pay them. LOL. So go ahead and get married whenever you like!
  7. When you first log on and you see the main Best Destination Wedding page you will see that there are different sections appropriately titled. For example if you wanted to start a thread about your invites you would look for the invitations section and click on that. Once you are there you go to the top of the left hand corner and hit the button to start a new thread. You then title it and begin typing away. Hope that helps. If your still having trouble you can PM me or any of the other mods. -Glenda
  8. Now that I think of it isn't it kind of dangerous to reuse them for risk of infection? The instead website says that you shouldn't resue them b/c you risk infections, but the diva cup says you can. Hmmm... Also, I may be slow but once you pull this cup out won't everything come leaking out? Eeew sorry to be gross but I don't get it.
  9. I never heard of it. I just checked out their website but I admit I don't get it. LOL. How big is this cup that your inserting up there? It sounds weird to me except that its green since you can reuse it which sounds cool.
  10. Uggh I really want to go but I have a wedding that day. Darnit! If a lot of people are busy that month could we maybe do it in October or is that very busy for people as well?
  11. Darnit Rachelle I forgot to ask you to get me some tacos from Pink Taco and mail them to me! LOL. They are my favorite! Maybe some of the LA girls can freeze them and send them to me. Hehe. I'm glad you had a good time. It sounded just fabulous!
  12. Maura you look absolutely stunning! I love everything about the pics! I'm so glad your back, I can't wait to hear all about it and see more pics!
  13. Amy I love them! I especially love the color! What is the crest for? Does it have some kind of family meaning or did you just pick it b/c its kick ass? LOL.
  14. Erin one time when I was smashed I stepped up a stair on stilletos and totally broke my foot! Uggh it was the worse. I feel your pain. That's why I go commando on my feet or carry around flip-flops or ballet slippers. I'd rather catch a few germs than break something again. At least you had fun! LOL.
  15. "Go shorty it's your birthday..." HAPPY BIRTHDAY ABBIE! Hope this is the best birthday ever!
  16. As Alyssa & Tammy mentioned I also own this bed. It is da bomb! I bought the mattress, the body pillow (ahhh this is the best!), a faux chinchilla throw (people try to steal it from me all the time b/c it is super soft), the ultra cloud pillows, the duvet, the featherbed which goes on top of the pillowtop that is on top of the mattress, and all the protectors for the pillow, etc. Personally, I like the pillowtop instead of the plushtop but that is just my personal taste. I went with Alyssa's recommendation on that one and it was the best decision ever! I love this bed. I never want to get out of it in the morning. It is super comfy! As far as deliverytime, they delivered mine pretty fast and I live in the suburbs not in NYC so I really don't think it takes long. I don't know what they mean by "white glove" service b/c I just got some dudes from 1800 Mattress who came and set it up. But it wasn't anything extravagant or anything like that. I highly recommend this bed, it is the absolute best!
  17. If you want to stay in times square then the W is the nicest hotel there. There are others that are nice but that is the nicest. However, keep in mind that NYC hotels are small. NYC is very crowded and you don't pay for luxurious space you pay just for being in NYC. So unless you are going to get a penthouse overlooking central park in the Plaza Hotel, any room you get is going to look small in comparison to when you travel anywhere else. If you go a little farther uptown and stay near Central Park then I would recomment the Empire Hotel, which has one of the hottest nightspot right now at the top of their rooftop. The Empire Hotel New York City - Official Site Also, like another member said the Gansevoort is hot but its way downtown in the meatpacking district. It also has a rooftop pool which is fabulous. The Mercer Hotel is also downtown and its great. Another great one is the Martime Hotel: The Maritime Hotel It has a lot going on at night too. Here is my question for you, what are you planning to do in NYC? Are you planning to mostly sightsee or hit up the nightlife and shopping or a combination of both? The nightlife is way downtown. The touristy places are closer to timesquare and farther up. I'm sure you want to stay in a nice hotel but honestly if your coming to sightsee there is no point in going crazy over it since NY is the city that never sleeps. You will be out all day doing a million things that you really only need a place to crash. And there are no hostels in NYC. Everyone gets their own private bathroom. I would honestly recommend the Royalton Hotel. It is located in midtown very close to times square. It is modern, was recently renovated, has an awesome bar inside and the bathrooms are spacious. They have huge round bathtubs. I've stayed at the Plaza and the Four Seasons and this hotel had bigger bathrooms. New York Hotels in Manhattan - Royalton Official Site One last thing, you can't go by professional photogs vs. amateur. Of course the paid photographer is going to take a pic of the nicest room. Most people stay in the average room so it is going to look significantly different.
  18. Alyssa I keep trying to post on your thread and it keeps timing me out. Ahhh! Anyways, everything looks amazing! I def wish I was one of your guests going to Hawaii! I know you had so many bumps along the way but I am so glad that it all worked out in the end. I know you are going to have an amazing wedding!
  19. Oh I'm so sorry that is so sad. I know how heartbreaking it can be to lose a pet. I'm sorry for your loss.
  20. I would love to go but it all depends on where it would be. If its a long car ride then I can't do it b/c I have problems driving long distances but if its not too, too, far then I would def love to do it.
  21. OMG congratulations! Not only are you going to be on MTV but you got to get married in France! How cool is that! I don't think we have any French brides, you are probably the first one to get married in France. You have to let us know when it airs so that we will be sure to catch it. Did you gusy elope or were there other guests?
  22. Maura everything looks fabulous! I completely forgot you were leaving at 4AM and now I didn't get a chance to say bye to you. Either way have an amazing wedding and enjoy yourself silly!
  23. Lisa I have been wondering where you were. I'm so sorry that you are going through a breakup right now. I def think you should go to Mexico in December so that you can try to relax and not be at home thinking about it. Go with your girlfriends and get ridiculously drunk. I hope you start to feel better soon and you know we are always here for you. You don't have to have a DW or any wedding for that matter in order to be a BDW friend so I hope you'll still stick around and chit chat with us.
  24. This looks so awesome! I am going to a wedding at Dreams Tulum in Nov and I def want to check this out! Thanks for the info Jason & Morgan!

I don't want to discourage you but I think its going to be tough. NY is in shambles right now economically and it is just not a good time to be asking for more concessions on a contract. I 100% think the workers should get better contracts but this economy is in such disarray (sp?) that I don't see them giving them what they want. But I am def going to keep my fingers crossed for you and send you good vibes.
