  1. I know this is more gladiator than thong but I figured I would throw it out there nonetheless. You know who makes cute ones? Mystique. I'm going to try to find them for you. They usually only sell them at specialty boutiques like Kitson or Olive & Betty.
  2. This is really annoying me b/c I know exactly what you want and I can't find it online. LOL. But I swear I see what you want every weekend at Nordstrom. Can you try going there b/c they always have tons of flat sandals with crystal on them.
  3. Are there any specific ones you had in mind or you just want a flat silver crystal one?
  4. Amy you look stunning! What a good looking couple the both of you are. I'm so happy for you, everything looked amazing!
  5. Hey Dez, I'm glad you guys made up and I hope that you will both be able to work things out. Hopefully he will realize that if he's upset he needs to talk to you about it instead of threatening to leave the relationship. I wish you both the best.
  6. Oy Vey! I just caught up on this thread. First of all I am so sorry that you are going through all this. I think to some extent everyone goes through rough patches. It all comes down to whether or not it is worth it to you to work through the problems. I think what is going on here is that you each have stuff that is bothering you and planning a wedding only adds stress to the situation. Like Jessica I am a complete neat freak. It almost causes me anxiety when I see my home in disarray. My DH is a total slob. We constantly fight about this. Unlike Jessica however I did feel trapped. Not to the point where I wouldn't marry James over it but it was a source of discontention. It really stressed me out to constantly live in a pigstye (sp?) We also had financial issues (namely James was a huge spender and mismanaged his money all the time). There were times where I got cold feet and I wondered if this was really what I wanted. Not b/c I didn't love him, but just b/c I didn't know whether I was willing to live my life like this forever. That being said I never walked out on James and I never threatened to either. I knew that marriage was hardwork and you can't just give up on someone or disrespect them. When the going gets tough in a marriage is the time when you have to be there the most for a person not just give up. I've only been married for less than a week so clearly I'm no expert. But I can tell you that days after the wedding I instantly felt better b/c all the wedding stress was gone. And I was able to use the money we got from gifts to pay off a lot of his debt which instantly relieved a lot of our stress. Even better we talked about how we are going to work together and change things around...these are the positive talks that you and your FI need. Also, James realized how important it is for me to have an organized home and when I went back to work I came home to a sparkling home. He cleaned the entire thing for me to make me happy. Its the compromises that will help build your relationship and make you guys stronger as a couple. I think right now its important that you both talk about what is important to each of you in life. Tell him that you love him and you want him to feel the best he can about himself and that is why you want him to see a therapist and take his pills. Threats and nagging don't usually work well in a relationship. He has to want to do it. If he's not willing to get some help then it is ultimately up to you to decide what to do with that piece of information. However I do think some of your problems are fixable. Once you start losing more weight you will feel good about yourself, your sexual relationship will improve and he will be happier as well. If you take some time to clean your home a little more it might improve his mental health as well. Talk to his family and see if you can get them to back off on him a little. Explain to them that this is stressing him out. Log onto BDW and talk away about all your wedding plans. Choose which convos about the wedding to have with him (e.g. money and payments) and save the miniscule details for us girls on here who love to hear about it. I really hope you guys can work this out. Sorry this was so long, but I just wanted to give it the attention it deserves.
  7. Congrats Christina that is awesome! Way to kick ass girl! We are all so proud of you!
  8. LOL. I was in court the other day and they were doing the calendar call and they were like "Elektra v. Busta Rhymes" and everyone started laughing. I think it was some copyright case but it was funny to hear his name being called out in court.
  9. OMG I totally forgot to mention that I woke up with a stye (sp?) in my left eye that morning. Haha. I was freaking out! I bought stye out at CVS and applied it and it was gone by the end of the day. I think I was getting it from lack of sleep. I hadn't slept for weeks prior to the wedding since I was staying up so late to get stuff done. But luckily you couldn't see it and it went away. I just thought it was funny that of course I had more drama.
  10. Thank you so much girls for all your wondeful comments! We've been talking to friends and none of them had any idea that all this drama was unfolding. LOL. And they said they had a great time at the reception b/c it was so casual and relaxed. On a funnier note my friend made me a "Citizen of the year award" (its a blue ribbon badge) for having a good attitude on my wedding. LOL. I thought that was so funny. Everyone kept saying that if all this would have happened to them they would have gone all Bridezilla on everyone. I just kept laughing the entire time b/c it was soooo funny and too ridiculous. It really felt like I was starring in a romantic comedy. (Well now that I think of it, the funeral and heart attack part were not funny but you guys know what I mean)
  11. Leia and Nikki have so much fun! You guys should come see me! LOL. One of the best things to sightsee in NY is GLENDA. LOL. I'm like a good broadway show, I'm dark, sarcastic, I'll make you cry, hahaha j/k. Seriously girls have an amazing time! And try Buddakon b/c its sooooo good! And have some dessert at good old Serendipity!
  12. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! I loved every second of reading that! I am so glad that everything turned out well. You looked absolutely gorgeous! I love the pinks and the orchards you used. Btw my sister gave me the same "sexy little bride" tank top. LOL. Congrats!
  13. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY GUYS! I hope you are having an amazing time devouring each other and some rum punch! LOL.
  14. Amy let me start off by saying that you are such a pretty girl! You looked stunning in your wedding dress. Just perfect! Secondly, I'm so glad you had such an amazing time at your wedding. I cannot wait to see all the pics! I thought about you on Friday as I was running around trying to getting everything in order for my wedding. At point I drank champagne with my friend and I said "Cheers to Amy". She was like "I don't know who Amy is but heck I'll drink to that!" It was pretty funny. LOL. Congrats again on your beautiful wedding!
  15. I think everyone just becomes so exhausted that at some point you just want to relax. I am so glad my wedding is over and it wasn't even a DW. I had to plan everything in literally 3 weeks so I felt super stressed but now I just want to make thank you cards and be done with all of it. LOL. Don't worry your AHR will be amazing and you will have so much fun (so jealous of rum punch!) and then you will finally be able to relax. ~Carly unfortunately I don't think your going to be able to relax with 300 people and a minister. LOL. Poor Carly.
  16. I was going to say a nice bottle of champagne. Also some places will engrave a wine bottle so maybe you can get their wedding date engraved on the bottle. Another thing I love is the tiffany's heart keychain that you can get engraved with the new initials and the wedding date. (But that would be more a gift for the bride and not so much the groom). So I'm going to say go for the frame and maybe a nice engraved bottle of wine that they can keep.

But most of the Brooklyn-Queens Diocese churches look the same.
  18. Thank you everyone for your comments. For those of you that asked I got my dress from here: Chick Downtown - Clothing The dress is Alice+Olivia. My dress is a size small and it literally fits anyone from a size small to size large (I'm usually a large). If anyone wants to borrow it you are more than welcome to. Presently its at the dry cleaners (hopefully that darn stain will come out) but as soon as I get it back (sat) I can send it if anybody wants to wear it. *And no Nikki I didn't confess. LOL.
  19. I just read this. Sigh. I wish it were easier to get over all this body image stuff. Why is it so hard?
  20. Uggh I have been awful throughout this contest. My wedding planning stressed me out and I just ate like crazy. I took a pic this morning and last week but I accidentally deleted it since I was taking pics of wedding stuff. Either way it doesn't matter I only lost like 6 pounds throughout the stupid thing. LOL. I think a lot of us were really busy but I am def down for season 3 b/c I need to get back into the game!
  21. Everything looks amazing! I can't wait for your wedding it is almost here, just a few more days! AHHH!!!
