Jenny I think you will have a lovely mass ceremony at home that will make your FMIL happy and will be hassle free for you with the legal requirements. Then you just get anyone to do your symbolic ceremony. You can still keep the minister you were going to have do your ceremony anyway, it just won't be legal. And now you don't have to get prodded and poked by needles for the blood tests! YAY!

OMG Morgan I am super excited for you. I wish I was your witness so I could eat mexican food! LOL. If I eloped I would make you and FI come to NY to be my witnesses and then I would make you come with me to get Mexican. LOL. I am so excited about this! Okay tomorrow at 11-11:30 we will be thinking about you! YAY!

Jenny initially I was going to do this. James and I were going to get married at a church in NY and then have a symbolic wedding in Cabo. We did the pre-cana classes which we were able to do in one weekend. It really isn't bad, I actually enjoyed them. I had it set up so we had our church ceremony the weekend before our wedding. I think its better to do it this way so that you don't have to fly someone out to Cancun. FMIL's can be a little pushy to say the least...

Ok first of all you are fabulous Shannon! You cannot let a little thing like arm jiggle get you down! We here at BDW want to see all our friends glowing! Here is the truth. There are some people that are very thin and pretty much all dresses look amazing on them. And there are some people who have heavier set body types who need to find dresses that will flatter them a little better. But never, ever have I seen a bride on here who I didn't think looked absolutely BEAUTIFUL! What makes someone pretty is their glow and the happiness that they radiate on their wedding day. The fact that you lost 60 pounds is amazing and you should feel so proud of that and you should let that boost your self-esteem instead of letting it get you down. The people who will be in attendance at your wedding will see you and will be thinking how amazing you look after having lost 60 pounds! Just think of that and it should make you feel so excited! I absolutely love the dress you posted and I think you should go try it on and see if you like it. I was dreading buying a dress as well. I ended up buying an empire waist gown b/c it hid my worst problem area which is my gut. The important thing is that you feel comfortable in your dress. And don't forget you still have time to shape up those arms and have them look the best that they can look. I'm pretty sure I posted in the "problem areas" thread some tips for you so hopefully they will help.

I absolutely HEART it! Okay I also always thought you looked like Carrie Underwood (who is gorgeous!) so I love that you are doing your hair like her. You are going to look amazing! And I love, love, love the shoes, they are divine! -

Yeah my friend the distributor told me that places like Tiffany's have to charge more b/c of the real estate rent and the amount of money they spend on advertising and marketing. But a diamond is a diamond is a diamond. I think its absurd to pay an inflated price just to get the blue box. But that's just me. -

Yikes $17,000. Ouchie. The funny thing is I got my diamond from my friend who is a distributor and he had his "guy" do my setting. It turns out the guy is the guy who sets diamonds for Tiffany. So my setting was made low also so that it wouldn't be easy to snag. -

To our right we have a druggie who sleeps on the street, to the left is the naked cowboy who plays the guitar in his underwear, that stench you smell is eau de piss, that feeling of death crawling on your skin is our 100 degree heat wave, that man that just honked at you and yelled curse words at you while flipping you off is just a taxi cab driver welcoming you to his neighborhood...that bill you got that you think is your lunch tab is really just a tax on your pack of gum. Morgan is good at finding the crushed diamonds! Want to come to NYC for a shopping trip tomorrow Morgan? LOL. Btw I had never been to the diamond district before and they are scary. They are like sharks hovering over you for your blood. You could be standing outside looking at the display windows, they will come outside and offer you anything and everything. They desperately need to make a buck! Ha! I was so intimidated. -

Yes Maura exactly what your ring looks like. Same type of band and everything. Only I want diamonds surrounding the main stone. Gosh I've seen your ring a million times and it always makes me gasp...it is so beautiful! -

That's the ring I want. I have a princess cut solitaire but it just so happens that my band is one of those two band thinga mangingies. But now I want one like the last one I posted. I just want to change the setting and then get a band to match. I think its too complicated that I'm just going to have to suck it up and attempt to make a 4th trip down to the diamond district tomorrow. -

This isn't the greatest pic but: Its moreso that I don't want the ring to look antiquey. I just want it to look sparkly. -

I want one where it almost looks like someone dipped the ring in silver glitter and the diamonds looked smooshed together. Oh lordy I am not making sense. I'm trying to find pics right now. -
So I need to buy a wedding band. The problem is that my engagment ring is one of those weird shape rings, which means that my band would have to be curved. Which I absolutely do not like. (Sorry to anyone who has one of these, I just personally don't like them). My engagement ring has a band that looks like it is two bands meshed into one. So in order to solve the problem I want to get a new setting and find a wedding band. I want to keep my main stone which is a princess cut diamond. I know what I want but I can't seem to find it. The problem is that I keep trying to to the diamond district and everytime I go something happens (i.e. there was a fire last time, the streets were blocked off b/c of construction...i tried to go today but its a Jewish holiday and there were closed ) So I was thinking of just ordering it online and saving myself some aggravation. Or I could get it from one of those main chain stores if I could find it. This is what I'm looking for: I want something similar to this with the micro pave diamond band and then the diamonds going all around the main stone. The problem is that I keep finding ones like this pic where the diamonds going around look very defined and seperated. I want one where the diamonds look almost crushed and all you see is sparkle, sparkle, sparkle. LOL. Does that make sense to anyone?

Carrie Bradshaw and the blue manolo's anybody? Hehe. My shoes are red and I love them. I also was worried that the colored shoe would ruin the feel of the dress but you know what, it all comes down to personality. If you got a fun personality (which you 100% do!) then you can pull anything off. Carly's orange shoes were FABULOUS, especially since our Carly has a great personality. I say go for the pink or the light blue. I love it. Just don't bother with Bloomingdales b/c I went there and they had nada. I would do Saks since they have that whole zip code for the shoe department now. There has got to be something good there that you like.

Honestly I would have no idea how to approach this situation. I am bad at confrontations. LOl. But I really love Lisa's idea. Do you mind if he walks with you to the stairs and then you and FI walk down the aisle together? Or do you really not want him walking with you at any part? You know your father better than anybody do you think something like this is going to upset him? If you don't think it will bother him then keep the convo light and just mention that you and your FI plan to walk down the aisle together. If he is going to take it hard then we need to come up with a whole other game plan. Has he mentioned giving you away at all?

Go shorty, it's your birthday...we're gonna party like its your birthday... HEHE. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAIME!! Hope you have a wonderful, relaxing, amazing birthday and many more.

I cannot even express how sorry I am for your situation. I wish there was something we could do to make it better. Your family, especially your grandmother will be in my thoughts and prayers. In the meantime here is a big hug.

Okay I spoke to James' friend. Unfortunately since his father retired he sold the plane as well. He said the cost of fuel was draining him financially. He has a friend who does have a plane but he said the whole premature baby thing makes him nervous and he would be scared to get sued. I'm so sorry, I tried selling this hardcore but sadly I'm not a very good lawyer. Ann I know you really, really want to get home ASAP and I don't blame you but do you think maybe you should wait a little bit? Wait for Gwen to grow and get stronger and then you would be able to fly home quickly and comfortably. I only ask b/c based on what everyone is saying it seems like just gas alone could cost you $2,500 for an RV. And if you had to rent one that would cost even more. I would hate for you to have to spend all that money. Although, I can imagine living in a hotel is not cheap either. But are you sure there is no way you can just wait a little longer? I know your a very patient person but something tells me being in an RV in the scorching hot summer with a new baby for days is going to start to get to you. Sorry to sound pessimistic you know I support you 100% whatever you decide to do, I'm just trying to figure out what would be easiest and most comfortable for you.

Sorry I'm slow today but I don't get it what card are they sending you? Are you referring to the rebates you get when you first purchase a phone? The Verizon check usually comes back so quickly. Why are they sending you cards? And why is this the third one?
