    Welcome to the forum!!
  2. And why why why am I the only one posting here girls? I ran 2 miles last night and did shoulders with James. I'm feeling like a fatty with all the holiday eating...argh!!!
  3. I've been eating so bad at all of our holiday gatherings! We took a picture in front of the tree yesterday and I swear my face is a big fat blob! I've been eating but still going to the gym a few days a week. If I make it in there at least 3 days a week, then I don't feel so sausage like...lol!
  4. We brought an iPod. They let us use their connector free for the wedding music, then we paid the DJ $100 per hour and paid $150 for the iPod connector.

If I choose the symbolic can we arrive on Wednesday and get married on Friday? I'll definitely go with the direct tranfer! Glad to hear the shows and disco are entertaining. We make our own fun so I'm sure we will have no problem hanging around the resort with all inclusive drinks We got there Wed and got married Friday. We met with Sandra Thursday morning and went over everything. She was so great. I gave her all my things I brought for the wedding along with my OOT bags and $20. She gave them to one of the guys and he passed them all out for us. He was very happy to do it for $20. We walked around the entire resort and she gave us different location options. It really put my mind at ease once I was there. The disco was cheesy, but we are the same way. We had so many people with us that we pretty much took it over. They will also let you pick your own music - - which was great! There was a hipmotis (sp?) there one night and that was really fun!

Now I can move along and do the fun stuff! I have a few questions: - I'm having a religious wedding. Do we still have to be there 3 business days in advance? - How long is the ride to the resort? I've heard it's 2 hours. Is that correct? - I have heard there is no night life at Dreams Tulum. Is that true? Thanks for all of the great information on this forum. If it weren't for y'all I would have never been able to decide! Congrats on picking a location! You guys are going to love the resort! Not sure about how long you have to be there for the religious ceremony, since we had the symbolic, but 3 days sounds right. It should be on the wedding form that either Sandra or Landy sent you. The ride is about 2-2 1/2 hours. I know that part stinks, but our driver stopped at the store for us and we got some beverages and snacks, then the drive wasn't that bad. Also, our TA set up direct transfers for us, for $20 per person to and from the hotel, so our drive was only 2 hours. Everone in our party got the direct transfer and we were glad we did. There is a disco that was quiet entertaining most night. They also had the nightly shows that all of our guests loved.
  7. Oh Yea!!!! Have a great wedding day, Annie! I know everything will be perfect. Don't stress and enjoy your day!
  8. Great job, Morgan! I've been working on a 12x12 wedding book for our moms for Christmas. I'm almost done. I'm hoping to order it this week so it can make it by Christmas.
  9. That sounds like a great deal for both of you!! I love kickboxing! I did a 15 minute abs class and a 1 hour turbo kickboxing class last night. It was awesome!!

The Sugar Reef Bar is where all of our guest met every night, and yes, there is plenty of room for everyone to hang out together. You can also order nachos and things like that from the bar. We always got guacamole and pico with chips. Their nachos rocked! The Sugar Reef is very close to all the resturants, so someone can walk over and check on the table.
  11. Great review! James and I also got married at Dreams Tulum, and used their photographer. I think they did a great job on your pics!! Congratulations!!

I saw that you mentioned having to pick up your checked bags during your layover? We only had to do this on the way home because of customs, but on the way there we didn't get our bags until we were in mexico. I had the same ones, in a box of 12, and I packed with all my other decor. I put a note on top that said, "Items for a wedding", but they never opened my suitcase.
