How do the staff know which rooms all the wedding guests are staying in? Did they specifically target the wedding guests during the ceremony? When everyone books their trip, they are all booked under say, "The Smith Wedding". All they have to do is figure out when "The Smith Wedding" starts and they can see who all is attending. They only broke into ours that night, but we told EVERYONE we came in contact with afterwards and we happen to run into another couple that got married a few days later and some items were taken out of their room during their wedding as well. Not cash and not things in the safe, just items in their room. I think a lock on your suitcase is a smart idea. A hollowed out book is a good idea too.
  6. That is a GREAT idea!! They come in stuffed animals and most of them are triggered by motion. I can't imagine they would think anything of a stuffed animal on the bed.

But do you think that would just draw more attention to the room? It shouldn't be hard for people to take everything valuable to the wedding. They will have on their jewelry already & will probably want their cameras. So maybe I'll just recommend not leaving valuables in the room during the wedding. Ladies can eaasily carry a purse. I'm thinking of making travel packet for everyone who books & I can just include this info then. It was our safe that was broken into, so I would maybe recommend hiding their cash and valuables in dirty clothes cramed in the corner of your suitcase, tooth brush holders...things like that, that no one would think to look.
  8. I just keep thinking about this and it makes me so sad that the staff of these resorts are getting away with this crap!!! We were also treated very badly when we made the complaint. All the security guys came to our room when we made the call stating our code would not work for our safe....well hello...it was because the security person that opened it, reset HIS code in there in order to close it. They were all looking at me while I wrote a report (while crying on my wedding night) and I could just tell they were guilty...F'ers!!!! Argh!!!! Ours was only $1500...very small compared to these poor people who got $100,000 taken from them. But still, it completely ruined our wedding night and we will have to remember that for the rest of our life. Something has to give.
  9. I like the green one best. It looks great with your flowers!
  10. We think the firedancers are on Friday night when they have the beach party. James remembers seeing the guys walk by our reception...
  11. That's exactly what happened to us during our wedding. It was totally an inside job!

Welcome to the forum!! Happy Planning!!
  13. I have a better one....my DH peels his toe nails off and leaves them on the couch then they poke me when I sit down. I swear one day I'll train him!!!
  14. Oh it's so gross!! All the men around me do it and I have to leave my desk cause it makes me want to throw up! Argh!!!!
  15. Dear Co-worker: Please, oh please stop cutting your finger nails at your desk. It's disgusting and it's getting on my nerves! Thanks! Lisa

The only thing I don't like is you can't send and receive pictures by text, since it has the internet, you have to e-mail pics. That kinda sucks cause when I get a picture text, I have to go to a website to view it...oh well! Laura - Did you go last night to get a phone?
  17. How funny! I just got an iPhone and I love it! Good Luck with your purchase...it's going to be like Christmas!!
  18. I think it will be fine folded in half in the overhead compartment on top of luggage. Once you hang it up, the wrinkles (if any) should fall out...
  19. They were going to hang my dress in the first class closet and when we opened it to put it in there, it was full of crap and the dress would have been wadded at the bottom. I said no thanks and folded it neatly in half and put it over head. It was fine when we took it out. And most hotels do offer complimentary steaming of the wedding attire. Let me ask a question - - When you carry the dress in the airport, are you going to hold it above your head so the dress doesn't hit the floor, or are you going to drape it over your arm?
  20. This was ours that Dreams Tulum made. Vanilla cake - top layer had pineapple filling - 2nd layer had peach filling - bottom layer had strawberry filling. It was super moist and probably the best cake I've ever had. Cake wasn't important to us because we knew by that time in the night, no one would eat any...we were right. Maybe 1 piece per layer was gone.
  21. Go to VS in North Park. They have a huge selection.
