I did send her an email letting her know how I felt about the visit but no reply yet, I feel she has me over a barrell now as shes got 50% deposit, I even called the designer direct (PRONOVIAS) and told them what awful service I had but they said there was nothing they could do because she is indipendant, never mind, hopfully my next visit will be better ! Hey Jodey! I was wondering about you, how you were doing? That is horrible!! How can someone treat their clients like that!!? I think when your dress comes in you should take it somewhere else to be altered and once you have the dress you should tell her how you're going to let everyone on the wedding forums you belong to know about her shop and how horrible she is and not to go there. C'mon, just because you didn't buy your shoes there How much are shoes, really? Thats just not something worth being upset over! She needs to get over it!
  2. Welcome! I was married in the gazebo as well, its what made me decide on the resort. but the beach is beautiful, very quiet, I did see a ceremony on the beach while we were there, it was very nice.

I always eat before I go to work (the equivalent to your breakfast), usually a lean cuisine or some cottage cheese & fruit. 2. I MAKE myself drink my 8 glasses of water. Sometimes I have to go into the break room and just slam 4 at a time, but I get it done. 3. I still eat the junk food I love, but just in small quantities. Diets never work for me because I get frustrated and binge. I'm not really denying myself anything- just eating 1 piece of pizza instead of 4. Eating a mini Snickers instead of a whole one, 100cal bags of popcorn instead of the big ones, etc... 4. I'm actually eating salad now. Yes, Sarah can eat salad...amazing. 5. I try really hard not to snack in between meals, especially at work. I force myself to find time to eat. And if I hit my calorie limit for the day I'm done- so if that happens at 1am, I'm up a creek- so I try to make better choices to make my food last longer. 6. I'm working out- and I actually go in the morning after working a 12 hour shift, or in the afternoon before working. It just doesn't work for me to go on my days off- I'm too tired. I have a workout buddy at work and she keeps me motivated. She's lost like 45 pounds post-baby and looks great so she's a great inspiration. She'll make me do that extra 2 miles on the treadmill when I'm dying! So anyway, that's what I'm doing and apparently it's working. I may not have lost enough to win this, but it's been sooo helpful to me to have the support of all you girls- and the accountability! Knowing Ann knows what I weigh since she's seen me naked really is a motivator too...lol Great tips Sarah and congrats on the great loss!! Quote: Originally Posted by froggie1013 Great job Sarah! Just the salt alyssa, don't sweat it, next week it will all be gone plus more. Quote: Originally Posted by Saraha Great job ladies.... Awesome job Sarah keep up the good work!!! Get your butt to the gym tomorrow, you're doing great! Quote: Originally Posted by Yari Sarah, congrats on the weight loss!!! Alyssa I am sure it's just water retention. I lost one pound. Congrats Yari!! Quote: Originally Posted by Raeka I guess all it takes is ONE bad day at work and I CAVE. I went for another liquid lunch courtesy of my printer refusing to work. So we went to Ruby Tuesday's for a liquid lunch. They forgot my food order and offered me a burger because it was quick and I accepted. Then the server at the end spilled ketchup all over me. And I mean all over in my hair and on my beige blouse! I'm not having a good day I keep smelling ketchup....ewwww Congrats on the promotion btw, that's great! Ketchup all over you, not so great, I hate how it smells. And as for office space, I LOVE that movie, but you totally have to watch it with someone who works in an office. I watched it with DH one day and he just doesn't get why things are so funny. I used to come home and tell him stories about the stupid things that would happen at work or the dumb things we would do in the office, and he didn't find them funny at all, but I guess you can't really understand the office humor if you haven't been there. It felt good to step on the scale and see it in the 130's! Amy that's fantastic! Good Job! Glenda I didn't see you post about your loss and I know it was a good one! I need glenda to come to mass and be my trainer and whip me into shape! I lost .8 of a pound this week. But I am going to have a fantastic week this week, I can feel it!
  4. You look great! I hate pics of myself, I try to avoid the camera at all costs!

I would have no self-restraint so I would have killed James if he brought that cake home! I got rid of the cake today, thank god because I would be stuffing my face with it right now!
  6. I'm not looking forward to tomorrow at all. Even knowing how horrible it's going to be when I get on the scale tomorrow, I still can't stop myself from eating anything and everything! My mom is taking me out to dinner tomorrow for my birthday too, I know I'm going to eat something bad!

I think I had 6 CD's. I used one for the important songs 1 for the music while people were waiting at the ceremony area 2 for dinner music and 3 for the reception we had a mariachi band for cocktail hour

If our chimney wasn't connected to our furnace I wouldn't even bother! Sometimes I really hate having a house!
  9. Well, I told him I wanted a cake with sweet frosting, I don't like the whipped cream frosting, I like the really sugary sweet stuff, lol! So he picked a cake and asked the person at the bakery if it was the sweet frosting, they looked at it and said yes. It had tons of frosting on it and oreos cookies, lol! He put it down on the table and told me about talking to the bakery person to find out about the frosting, I took one look at the cake and said "I think thats whipped frosting" and sure enough it was. It was still really good though, chocolate inside. But it's going away tomorrow. I want the damn carrot, hahaha!
  10. Nice Review! I'm so glad you had a beautiful day, sounds like a lot of fun! And I hear you about not being able to hear and understand the vows, there was a couple of times I didn't know what I was repeating and it made no sense, but it gave us a good laugh!
  11. we just got an estimate to have our chimney repaired and he said it needs to be torn down and rebuilt and its going to cost 1800-2100. Great! Love having a house, I feel your pain!
  12. do you know how to unfreeze your ipod? It's really easy. also, I backed everything up to CD in the order I wanted them and brought them with me just in case.
  13. Thanks for posting, I'm going to check it out!
  14. What I found the best thing to do with claudia was to put together a list of questions (I usually had about 20 or so at a time) and I would email her all of them at once. It does usually take her a week or so to get back to you and yes, I know its frustrating. There are also certain email types that the emails don't always go through to, I think gmail might be one of them. Honestly, I know it seems important right now, but they take care of so many of the details for you, you almost don't even need to think about any of it. The reason it takes so long is that they have weddings almost everyday and this is also a very busy season for them, so they really don't spend a lot of time in the office, but rest assured you will get a response.
  15. Congratulations and welcome! let me know if I can answer any questions for you on dreams!
  16. Congratulations Jen, I hope your day was perfect!
  17. Thank you everybody! Glenda you got it right today is the day! And as I said in the biggest loser thread, I told DH not to get me a cake, he thought it was a trap and brought home this gigantic cake for me. I couldn't resist, I ate a big piece, although I was really good about not eating much else today, so that was good. I'm getting rid of the cake tomorrow. And Mel, don't worry, there's no way I'm in the running for the carrot this week, lol! I wish I could ship the rest of the cake to you!

Its never bad food, its healthy, but I eat way too much of it. Oh and also I read that the week before your period and the week during your period you bloat and retain water which makes you not lose weight as much as you would like. Great, just great! (please note my sarcasm) I usually do the same thing and if it happens on saturday, then sunday is usually not very good either. Although I have to say, I have done crappy since our last weigh in, I start the day good and then its just downhill after that. And even though I told him not to, DH brought me home a b-day cake today. I just ate a big piece of it and I'm bringing the rest to my dads tomorrow because I don't want it here. I'm going to gain like 5 pounds this week, this is horrible! In good news, DH wants to get the P90X videos and we're going to start doing them together. It will help so much to have someone to work out with! Quote: Originally Posted by amandalovesryan Girls, I hate to say it but, I quit! As some of you know, I lost seventeen pounds since January. We understand and congratulations on the weight loss!
  19. that sounds crazy! I don't think I could do it. I have been thinking about doing some type of fasting or cleansing type thing, but I know I wouldn't last more than a few days.

I will have to look into weight watchers because I have always heard good things about it. Well, its not going to force you to be motivated, but I find that when I see the scale moving that motivates me. Also, sometimes I think we all find that we think we are doing really good with our eating, but then when we start actually writing it down we realize we were eating too much, even if it was healthy stuff. With WW you count points, each food option has a points value and you have a limit of how many points you can eat each day, it really helps to keep your calories where they should be. Also, we started a BDW biggest loser challenge, we are halfway done our first season right now, but the beginning of may we should be starting a new one, you might think about joining us for that, we try to help motivate each other and theres a monetary prize!
  21. Horrible! (does anyone see a pattern, lol!) I have PMS and I've done horrible since last weeks weigh in, lets just say I will not be eating a lot until weigh in on wednesday! I've come to terms with the fact that this was a bad week, I will most likely gain this week and I will have to be really strict this week to get myself back on track, don't want to reverse all of my progress so far!
  22. that seems strange that they can't supply you with an extension cord. are you having the reception on the beach, where there is no access to power? I brought batteries for our docking station because I wasn't sure if they would have a cord, but they did so we didn't need the batteries. Our docking station took a LOT of batteries! I think it was 8 or 12 D batteries.
