  2. we had the mariachi during cocktail hour too, I only caught the end of them, but they were good from what I saw and my guests loved them!
  3. Thanks Ladies!! I'm really excited about this! As Lindsay mentioned it will be so great to help out BDW & future destination brides! Please let me know if I can help!!
  4. I love the third one and the fact that it is reversible makes it even better!

I just want to know what the girls that have already been married there think..... I had bought a veil and had every intention of wearing it, but once I got there and saw how windy it was, I didn't even attempt it. If I had to guess, I would think a longer one might be easier because you could have whoever walks you down the aisle kind of hold it behind your back or around their arm. Paula will probably be able to give you better advice because she wore hers.

  7. powdered eggs YUCK! That's great that you're sticking to it, good luck!

Do you have an issue with the "quality" of dreams? Have you been there? If you haven't been there then I don't think it's fair for you to pass judgement and criticize people that have been there and were very happy with it.

For the most part dreams just does one wedding per day. Quote: Originally Posted by SIMBASIM Jilly, Were the beaches in the area you went for your honeymoon affected? Most people hang out at the pool, so the beach is never crowded. I think the beaches there were beautiful and dreams is a smaller resort, so there really isn't a need for miles of beach.

PLEASE PLEASE keep my $10 - I totally don't want it back - it wouldn't be fair to you guys who are all working so hard on this. I am sorry! I hope no one is mad! we would never be mad! If I were in your position I wouldn't have even joined so close to the wedding because I would have been even more stressed, lol! New week girls, keep yourselves on track!! We're halfway there!

I swear I have never felt so happy in my life. I guess my frosting incident didn't mess me up too bad. Here are some of the things I have changed which have helped me to lose some weight. B/c I can't bring my own lunch (I'm a lawyer and I spend all morning in court and my food would go bad if I brought it with me) I have to rely on outside food. Not the healthiest choice but I have no other. So I usually eat salad from the Pizzeria. Well they put a balsalmic vinagrette dressing on their salads. I used to order it on the side b/c they literally drench the salad in the dressing. Well one day I decided to ask how many calories were in their dressing. It turns out there is 120 calories per 2 tablespoons! OMG I almost passed out! No wonder I wasn't really losing much. So I went to the supermarket and bought my own fat free dressing that is 15 calories per 2 tablespoons and now I order the salad plain and put my own dressing. It helped me lose a lot of weight this week. Also instead of regular sushi rolls I eat brown rice ones now. I don't eat any white rice or white bread. Only brown rice and whole wheat bread. And I learned to portion my meals better. Protein the size of the palm of your hand and 1/2 a cup of cooked rice per meal. I try to eat starches only once a day. I exercise 5 times a week. 1 hour of cardio, no weights. You know, when I talked to you this morning I was going to ask you what your secret is because you are doing SO GOOD!! I'm so proud of you too, that's such a great loss and you have to be starting to feel so much better! I've been really bad about exercising and I know I would have a bigger loss if I got my butt off the couch! Congratulations on your loss! That's a great loss! Congratulations to everyone on another great week! This is a new week so get yourselves back on track! I lost 2 pounds this week, my pants have started to feel slightly looser, but I really want to have a good week this week, so I have to stay on track!
  14. I had them take out the privacy panel in the back and I wish I hadn't. I think the dress would have stayed tighter on me if I had the panel in there because it would have been snapped in on the side. And I was originally thinking she would take the whole thing out, but because it went so low and I didn't want my butt hanging out, she had to leave some of it in, and it just didn't look right. I really didn't like it and wished I had left it alone!
  15. I bought ribbon similar to this at Michael's, in a different color, they might have this one too.

Jamy that starfish died in cancun It was actually dead before my wedding but I managed to put it on the stick and stick it in my bouquet for a picture.
  17. well, here's a quick rundown of my crappy weekend! Friday, I ate good all day, we decided last minute to go out, so first we went to Uno's, I got a roasted vegetable quesadilla, not great, but I did have a lot of points left for the day and I wanted something good. I proceeded to drink about 7-8 beers, a shot of jager, a jager bomb, and 2 captain & diet cokes. Ummm yeah, lots of calories there!! Didn't eat when I got home though, lol! Saturday, woke up early, had some stuff to do so didn't eat anything, then DH and I went out to buy a bike for Hailey. We decided to eat at chili's. I had 10-15 chips w/salsa, about a dozen or so pieces of an onion blossom, and half of a cajun chicken sandwich with lots of crap on it. But the only other thing I ate all day besides this was some tunafish and saltines and some ice cream. So, I guess it could have been a LOT worse if I had eaten normal meals in addition to my lunch. Yesterday again, I didn't eat breakfast because we were rushing out of the house early, so I ate a lot at lunch, ham, pork, mac n cheese, squash, carrots, strawberry shortcake. But that was also my only meal yesterday, I at the rest of my ice cream from saturday last night. So, when I think about the items I ate I feel like I did REALLY BAD!! But when I think about how I really only ate one meal each day, it doesn't seem AS bad. Still not good, not good food choices, but usually when I'm hungover, I do a lot worse. I've been trying to stay low on carbs today and for the next couple of days, just to keep myself on track for weigh in this week. I haven't exercised in days, I've been so damn busy!
  18. I had to cram to finish the book last night, I didn't want to come on BDW until I was done! but I finished up this morning. I really liked the book, it was a very sad depressing topic, but very interesting. I too was very upset about the mother leaving the family. But then I thought about DH's family, they lost a son about 7 years ago, and I watched them go through so much emotionally and almost end up divorced, so I can understand how incredibly difficult the loss of a child can be and sometimes you don't want to lean on each other, sometimes you just want to be left alone. I loved how the author portrayed "heaven" and how it is what you want it to be. And I also liked that Susie was able to come back and have one last night with Ray, that was sweet. Mr. Harvey creeped me out, I had this picture in my head of this disgusting pervert and while I did feel a little bit bad for him and this troubled childhood, I mostly just felt anger and disgust towards him.
  19. Rachel everything looks fantastic!! I love your colors and your monogram! Good luck, have a great time, and relax and enjoy every minute!
  20. Girls, I'm not doing very well so far this weekend!! We went out drinking last night, I drank A LOT! And then we went to chili's today for lunch, both of us were hungover so we ordered all kinds of stuff, but I will say that I didn't go really crazy. I had a few chips & salsa, a dozen or so pieces of a blooming onion and half of a cajun chicken sanwich. So, not wonderful, but I could have done way worse, I guess. Tomorrow's easter, I hope I don't go crazy!! We've just been so busy all weekend I haven't even had time to count points. And now, we're getting ready to leave for a birthday party! I did decide that this weekend I need to find an exercise class that I can go to 2x per week, I think I'm going to find a spinning class and then the other days I can do videos at home.
  21. Those came out fantastic!! Sarah, you do such a great job on everything and Alyssa you must be very happy with them!
  22. I totally agree!! It really makes me sick! I'll never let hailey leave the house looking like a slut like a lot of the girls I've seen lately!
  23. a couple of times I actually forgot to go into our daughters room after she fell asleep, she came in my room in the morning saying "mom, the tooth fairy never came" so I had to grab some money from my purse and run in there with her and say "lets search, maybe it fell behind the bed" and miraculously it would appear!
