  1. I would say any prelim RSVP info you get will be tough to rely on this far out. However, I do think it's a great idea to let people know that they need to book by xxx date & give them all the vital info they need to accomplish that - esp since you said some of your guests aren't big on the internet
  2. Oh my gosh, how could I have forgotten the psycho lady getting sucked into oblivion!! And the whole thing with Bree telling about the tatoo comment that busted the new neighbor....bad times for him.

As for Lynette's family, I don't think they would do that to her character, she's already been through so much. Umm why wasn't Susan worried about her daughter during the tornado, I know they were at the hospital, but what about Julie? I have a feeling we won't see what happens for a really long time, it sucks that so much has been left up in the air, but hopefully the people who make the contracts will get their heads out of their rear ends and quit being cheap with the writers! So, when that picket fence piece went thru Victor I was pretty shocked!! I asked my hubby if that could really happen, and he was like "oh, definitely!" Wow, what a brutal way to go. I thought Susan's daughter was off on a trip some where, I can't remember exactly where though. The whole off shore bank account paperwork thing between Edie & Gabrielle was hilarious.
  4. Let it go sister! Purge! You know why? Because when you move all those boxes & shove them in a closet & never seek them out and then have to move the again, you will be pissed! I tried my best to purge before our move, I really did. But somehow I am still running into things that make me say "what the hell did I keep that for?"
  5. Well I'm not sure it this qualifies, but it definitely surprised me. I spend 90 minutes trying to get to the highway this morning & ran into nothing but flooded roads (hence road closures). I called my boss to let him know I may never get there & he said "no prob, stay safe." My boss is so whacky, I figured he would berate me...
  6. I used Suzanne Morel. I did the hair & make up trial the day of our welcome dinner. They changed it up before I left so I didn't look like I would on my wedding day. So, in addition to having peace of mind about how things would go for the wedding day, I got the added value of special hair & makup for a pre-wedding event. I don't know, it depends on how much of a controller you are I would say that Suzanne's staff will do an excellent job for you, trial or no trial. I think you can definitely do without it, if your brain will allow you to do that. For me, I needed the extra assurance. Mostly because I have very fine, thin hair...but you have long thick beautiful hair, so maybe you don't need to worry. Bottom line - you can definitely do without the trial if it's not in your budget.
  7. OMG - I had completely forgotten about the Fiesta Donkeys!! You guys are so fricking hilarious. ANd Team Muzzafoos is simply awesome. I am very excited for you Kate!!!
  8. Wow Sharon - that dress is amazing on you. I can't believe you never tried it on!! Great job. The lines are just perfect for your body.
  9. Lovely dress! The scalloped edging on the bodice is really cool. ANd, OMG, could you be any tinier? You look beautiful.
  10. I've been involved in this type of peer interviewing process in the past. I do remember being intimidated & unsure in the begining. I found ultimately that it became my chance to feel out a potential team mate...I usually just like to get them started talking & let 'em run with it. I would get a feel for how egocentric the person is In our set up, if anyone on the team said "no", then the hire would not proceed. Of course, there had to be a reason articulated & supported to go with the no, but overall it gave our team a real sense of ownership over the direction we were heading. Just enjoy it - try to get a feel for the type of person the candidate is. Do they make sense? Are the a thinker? Are they too narrow minded? Can you see working with this person everyday?

Please stop replying to my answer of, "No, we already have 2 kids." with, "But they're HIS kids." because do you think I don't realize that I didn't give birth to them? Get it into your thick skull that this does not mean I love them any less than if I had. I am not only marrying Doug but also getting a built in family as well, and we don't need a baby of our "own" to complete us right now. Thanks for listening! Wow that sounded really angry and vent-y. I would never really say that out loud to anyone, but I guess that is what this is for right? Hey girl, I'm in the same boat. At this point, most of my friends are past it...but everytime I meet someone new (hello new job), this comes up. Same conversation. Why isn't it good enough that we know what we want? Why do people basically force us to explain?? And we just come off sounding defensive. I hate that! And are you kidding me - with a 13 & 16 year old...can you imagine handling an infant on top of that?? I feel you sister!
  12. Excellent job!! It's very evident that you've lost weight. How exciting!!
  13. OMG, I love your cut doggies & kitties!! I need to dress my girls up & get a pic up.
  14. I was pretty concerned about this too & thought I would wear something, or have cups sewn in. Once my dress came in & I took it for alterations, it became clear that I really didn't need anything. I think it was the structure of my dress (the bodice could stand on it's own!) and that fact that it was altered PERFECTLY in that area. I felt supported & secure and I'm a 36C/D. Bottom line - if you can get away w/o a bra, go for it. Wedding gowns are so much by themselves...I cannot imagine having to deal w/anything bra like under neath!
  15. Stephanie - those are wonderful! I love the color scheme & the unique paisley background (right?). Very nice!
  16. Congrats Jessica! What a wonderful & detailed review - this will be so helpful for brides to come! I am so excited about your TTD photos w/Bradley! I've thought about going back to Cabo on our one year anniversary & asking him to do TTD pics with us. Isn't he awesome? We just loved him to pieces. Everything looked AWESOME!! Also - couldn't agree with you more regarding Suzanne Morel & her staff. So unbelievably professional & considerate - everything is always perfect with them. So glad you had such a great experience.
  17. I am so glad you enjoyed your wedding week!!! And thanks so much for the Pacifica review - I always thought that sounded like a wonderful peaceful retreat...but what give w/no outside food/beverages?? Seriously - like they would take it away from you if you walked up with a grocery bag? Congrats!!!
  18. I love all the answers - especially Ann who is the only one that mentions the non-self-torture method of dress alterations!! So funny. Anyway - I totally advocate cutting your salt & carb intake. That will make a huge difference in like 5 days. I'm not sure where it's tight...but spanx can never hurt!
  19. Hmmm...I would say that you should do whatever you want to do! Perhaps using CSH's spa for the spa party would be cool, but I would be wary about the hair/makeup services since you don't have any feedback to go off of. Suzanne Morel on the other hand does a fantastic job, as told by many of us

Sorry honey, but unless your guests are a totally different breed than any of the ones I dealt with, or any of the other ladies on here dealt with, I would say you are definitely smoking crack! I had a similar time frame as you (wedding 3/17, needed "final" numbers 1/31), and I waited & sent mine after the first of the year. Honestly, you are going to have to hound people anyway.
  22. That is an adorable little (I mean big) puppy!! Gotta love the puppy poop - but you are right, it's your warm up for baby poop!
