Welcome Randi! Those all sound like great locations!! You'll find lots of info here.

  6. Welcome! You'll find lots of great info here!!
  7. My fiance loves Cabo and we both love the idea of getting married near the beach. We're from San Diego (by the beach), but thought it would be fun to have DW with everyone we love...sort of a group honeymoon. We never thought of Jamaica, and Hawaii (though we didn't research it too much) seemed like it would be a lot more expensive for us and our guests. But, after planning a Cabo wedding, it still seems really expensive. ....Mexico isn't cheap anymore! Good luck with your decision!
  8. Welcome Hang! You'll find lots of great info here. Tammy (host) would be THE person to contact when it comes to travel agents!! Good luck with your planning!
  9. Got to agree! This a great forum with great people!!
  10. Hi Sarah, I'm planning to use rectangular tables and have them in a horseshoe shape. I'm going to put the bridal party at the end. I thought that this would have a more intimate feel than having round tables. I didn't ask about black linens. I'm planning to use the white table cloths provided by the Sheraton and bring my own pink/fushia and gold table runners (which I'm making myself). By the way, my horseshoe is going to be very long...probably 4-5 tables on each side. I did get a name of a rental company in Cabo that I considered using for table runners, but I don't know if they have black linens. I don't have my wedding book with right now, so I can't post the contact info right now. I'll post it for you this weekend. Also, did you try Fun and Motivation?

    New Cabo Bride

Hi, I'm getting married at the Sheraton at the Fiesta palapa. I didn't want my toes in the sand either. If I can help you with any info on the Sheraton let me know. TammyM is also getting married there and she's very helpful. Good luck!

I think I would pick #1 too. But, the fire dancers sound like a lot of fun..I wish I had an extra $675 to hire them. Fireworks at $1000 a minute (I think this is the cost I read in a different thread)....I could personally do with out them...expensive!

CasaBlancaBridal.com: Fall Collection/1831 (I still haven't figured out how to post a pic in my message....guess I need to read up in the how to section) I also heard that net bride was a good site. I'm glad that your experience with them was a good one. Sometimes it is hard to know if you should trust an online retailer...especially when it comes to buying something as important as your wedding dress. I'm glad it worked out for both of us. BTW, I think I mentioned this in the thread with your wedding photos, but your dress looked great on you!!

Some of my extended family also whined about the DW thing, but that's just too bad, because it is not their choice. If they can't come, that's too bad and I'll miss them. But, I'll be darned if I'm NOT going to invite them....I can't even begin to imagine the family drama that would follow if I didn't send each of them an invite (even if I don't think they'll be able to come).
  15. Welcome! Hawaii is a great place for a wedding...how romantic! You'll find lots of help here (I'm sure you've arleady found that out ) Oh and don't worry, you've got plenty of time to plan!

  18. Great ideas! Thanks for posting... I'm planning to put flip flops in the OOT bags. I got cute striped ones for the women last summer at Jo-Ann's (.75 each on sale) and bought golf theme flip flops for the guys from target for a dollar.

  20. Wow! What beautiful work. I wanted something unique too, but didn't have it in my budget to spend a fortune, so I'm going to DIY it. ...unfortunately, it is still costing me a small fortune. I received inspiration from the following website, in case anyone else needs some inspiration..... http://www.invitation-designer.com/gallery.htm
  21. Great story! Sounds like you have one thoughtful, sweet man! ....so, the sweaty hands didn't tip you off? Poor guy was so nervous!
  22. Welcome Maureen! You'll find lots of great info here and lots of friendly people to help you! Like you, I also chose a destination wedding because it seemed easier. And, it is easier in some ways, but is difficult in other ways. This board has made the difficult part a lot easier. Best of luck to you, Jessalyn
