  1. I'm debating between an orchid and making my own seashell boutenniere.
  2. Jules~ Your site looks great! You have a ton of info and your guests will really appreciate that!
  3. I have everything on our website too, but I'm still sending traditional invitations with the standard wording and then doing inserts of Directions from the airport, Welcome reception info, At home reception info, and accomodations and rsvp (which you obviously won't need). I agree it is expensive to send them out. But, I think it is a nice idea to send them...it makes it feel more formal. I also wanted to be able to keep a copy of our invitation for sentimental reasons. ......I don't think anyone has booked one of our rooms yet!...aghhh
  4. Danielle ~ Your photos are beautiful. I loved the one of you and Justin in the entry way to the El Canto courtyard with the pretty arch. Also, the ones of you on the bed were gorgeous. Did the Lazy Gourmet cater at the El Canto Inn? Your wedding was beautiful. Thanks for sharing!

    NY Newbie

Welcome Lauren! You've come to the right place for ideas and advice! Let us know how we can help you!
  8. I'll try to help you. I was having a problem with this too (very frustrating). Hopefully you can see the smilies when you are posting a message? (this was my problem...I couldn't see the smilies) If you can't see them, you'll need to adjust your User cp settings. ...if this is the problem, let me know and I'll find you the thread that explains how to fix it. But as relates to the pictures specifically if you can see the smilies, check out this thread and see if it answers your questions.. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t2447 especially look at Soon to Be Mrs. Hull's post in this thread.

I'm getting these items from Maye instead for less. But, I already gave the flower cart a deposit.
  10. Wow!!! Great pictures! Your wedding is going to be beautiful...I can't wait to see your wedding pictures!! The gazebo is so pretty! Thanks for posting all the pics!

It is right around the corner from Panchos (in the same building). I contacted Francine before I arrived and scheduled an appt. When I got there she wasn't there....not a very good first impression, but she did hurry back so we could meet. The flowers in the shop looked really fresh. Did Janet post her email? I forgot....anyway, let me know if you need her contact info, but it is on the website. .....hope this helps!
  12. When we went to the Mega store in August, we just paid a few bucks for a one day pass. hope this helps... Thanks for brining up the Lazy Gourmet again.
  13. I'm also planning to use the Flower Cart.
  14. Welcome! It looks like your first few questions have already been answered! Let us know if you need anymore help!
  15. Welcome! I just wrote you a long post in your Cabo thread...Happy Planning!!
  16. I like #1, 3, and 6. Six is my favorite and 1 and 3 are tied for second. Looks like you're getting lots of different advice. Let us know what you decide!
  17. I'm going to be legally married in Mexico. From what I understand, you need to be in Mexico a few days prior, you need to have blood tests done and only a judge can legally marry you. The legal ceremony is performed in Spanish, so there is a translater. The legal ceremony is usually done before the civil/religous ceremony. If you decide to get legally married in Mexico, I would strongly advise you to use a WC, who would be able to coordinate everything for you. Hope this helps.

Jonathan you better hurry up when you take her pictures :-) LOL....I guess I DO need to please the photographer, huh? Okay, okay, I'll wear a veil....a pretty long one.

What other types of fabric do they use for a veil other than crinolin? Ooooo...those are some good ideas about the ribbon and crystals. Did you see the link I posted about how to make one. They mentioned something about pearls sometimes showing up black in photographs? Jonathan, is this true? I like the 2 tier idea. I think I'm going to try to make mine out of tullem not sure what I'll add. I want to see if I can find some beads that match the ones on my dress. Be sure to post pics once you make it!

By the way, that is a beautiful pic. ....I love the lace on the veil...not sure if the lace would work with my dress...hmm..

Her email is [email protected] if anyone is interested. She does a great job and is super reasonable. That's a really pretty veil! I think I want a veil now. Thanks ladies! ...you're all right...when will we ever get to wear a veil again?
