  1. Hey Magsie - can you let me know what you dig up on the Rui, costs, etc? I really can't be on one more resort website or my head will explode, I change my mind everyday! Thanks girl Jaimee
  2. Can someone help me out on these? There are several in Cabo - Rose, Sunset Beach, Pacifica, Los Cabos? It's hard to tell from the website, but if anyone that has researched or been there, much help would be appreciated, as far as staying there, location, rates & weddings. Thanks girls!
  3. We're thinking about plan B, if having a caterer come in to our villa doesn't work out (site fees, permit fees, etc). Can anyone recommend a restaurant or somewhere that isn't a hotel or resort ballroom to have our small reception. Its going to be about 40 people, probably not a band or dancing, so more like a beautiful dinner. The type of food isn't important, just the atmosphere. We don't want to go into San Jose, trying to stay as close to Cabo as possible. Thanks for your help!!!!
  4. Okay girls here's the deal: we want to rent a villa and have a catered dinner after the ceremony for about 30-40 ppl. from what i'm hearing, the rental companies will charge a site fee for you to host a "reception" which i completely understand, because i'm sure in the past people have trashed the place, etc. the thing is, its just a dinner, so no dj/band/photog/florist, etc. i guess pedregal is gated? do you have to check in, how do they know who to let in? my question is, if we have friends staying in a hotel, can they come up to the house? I was hoping we could just book a caterer anyways but if they have to check in, i'm sure the gate will know we haven't paid a site fee? I know I sound crazy, just trying to get this all straightened out. I couldn't get ahold of someone at Cabo Villas today, do you think they'd be the most flexible? i'd certainly be willing to put down an extra deposit, but dont want to pay a bogus site fee for nothing if i dont have to. If you've stayed here, let me know your experience. thanks!!!! happy friday!
  5. What do you girls know about this caterer? Any help would be much appreciated? Any thoughts on other caterers is great too! Want to have someone come into the villa for a nice dinner, about 40 ppl. Thanks!
  6. Danielle - your pics are beautiful! Can you give me some more insight on Lazy Gourmet? Any problems, things I should know about? Who did you work with? How was their pricing. Give me the lowdown when you get a second. Thanks!
  7. Hey girls, We are leaning towards renting a big villa (Clara Vista) and having our family stay there. The house is gorgeous and we're thinking about getting married in the dome by the pool and then having a dinner inside the house. (i ready about Lazy Gourmet on here - putting up another post!) Has anyone done this? I'd love to hear your thoughts. We want things to be very casual. We'll have our friends rent houses or stay at a close hotel. I was going to rent through cabovillas.com Let me know what you think!

    Cabo Newbie!

First, I want to say that every girl on here is amazing, I have learned more from this forum than any other website or wedding coordinator! Thank you so much! I finally signed up and have the courage to post, but I've been lurking for awhile I look forward to getting alot of advice from you in the next year. I think we've decided on a Cabo wedding, renting a villa in Pedregal. I'll post on the Cabo forum, but I'd love to hear you'r experiences if you've done the same. Thanks again girls, ya'll are the best!
