  1. ooohhhh, so sweet! I love how your ring is in every picture!! I was like that too! It's a beautiful ring! You look so happy! Congrats!! Now, the official planning can begin!!
  2. Thanks Jen. I was thinking the same thing....all the girls who used her looked fantastic. My original thought is a simple curly 1/2 up, 1/2 down look....but, I'm a little afraid I will be too hot, so I might switch to an updo. But, I think I'll skip the trial. Thanks!! Oh, and I do have some sample pics, so I should be fine.
  3. Congratulations!! and, welcome back! Can't wait to read all the details of your wedding and see all your pics!!

(I'd rather be lounging by the pool with my guests anyway.) I'm thinking the same thing, but I'm afraid I might not like it. Courtney ~ You make a very valid point! aggghhh....what to do.
  5. Yay! Feels so good to mark things off your list! The dress will be perfect for the TTD session!...good find! You're getting closer....I've found that things really come together quick in the end...I guess they have to.
  6. Jenesis ~ I'd definitely try to apply the $ to another service. I just re-read this thread and now I'm thinking I should do a hair trial, esp. since the girl won't speak English....I'm afraid I won't like my wedding hair and I'll have a fit. Do you all think a trial is worth it?
  7. I really like the last one, but I'd make the palm trees a different color. The second to last one at first looked like 2 arrows to me and then I noticed it was 2 palm trees and water....it's cute, but kinda pointy (if that makes any sense). I like the Tiffany's blue color.
  8. ahh, she left for a minute and snagged a few pics. the clip (you can see that she sewed clear string around it to attach it: See how it is kinda smooshed down in this pic.... It probably looks fine, I'm just anal.
  9. I bought them off of ebay. So much cheaper than an office supply store.
  10. Wow!! It is so beautiful Jill! I'm so happy you ordered it! Congrats on the big purchase. It is going to look beautiful on you!
  11. The lady I work with took it home to try to attach it for me. She brought it back in today and it looks pretty good, but it looks kinda smashed on there....i'm not 100% pleased with it. I feel bad saying I don't like it....I might re-do it. I can't take a pic of the buckle and veil right now because it is in her area of the office. But, here is a pic at my final fitting yesterday...just to give you an idea of how it looks.
  12. Hey Tammy ~ I logged off last night and went home to do more wedding stuff. Your bouquet was beautiful! And, I think you're right, you didn't need anymore flowers. We're doing our dinner through the Sheraton and the set-up will be in the palapa area. I picked up my dress yesterday. It looks pretty good...I wasn't pleased with a pucker on the side, but I think that once the dress is pressed it will lay flat. I was a bit bummed about my veil though. It looked just like I wanted it to, but I had asked her to attach my great grandmother's buckle and she said she couldn't figure out how to do it. I just wish she would have called and told me before I got there. Now, I have to figure out how to attach the darn thing.
  13. Congratulations! Everything was beautiful!! You looked amazing ....loved your dress and the flowers in your hair. The reception tables were beautiful too....almost forgot, loved your shoes too!
  14. Kash~ Have a fantastic time!! I have no doubt that everything will be perfect! CAn't wait to hear all about it and see your pictures....you're going to be beautiful in that gorgeous dress of yours!
  15. IMHO, I would let her bring a date. I openly invited/allowed all of our single guests to bring a date. I guess a good way to think about it would be to put yourself in her shoes. Is everyone else bringing a date with them, if so how would that feel to be the only single person? If it were you, wouldn't you want to have someone with you that you would want to spend time with especially at such a beautiful location as Las Caletas for a weekend or for however long she will be there? I understand that it is YOUR wedding, but don't you want everyone else including her to have a good time too? If it is really going to bug you to have someone there that you've never met, can you arrange to get together with the two of them a few times before the trip? Just my 2 cents....sorry it's probably not what you wanted to hear.
  16. I am excited. We'll have 55 people include Jonathan and his associate. For my bouquet I'm supposed to have roses, orchids, lisanthus and some filler flowers. The flowers aren't really important to me, so I emailed pics of what I like and hopefully they will look good. I'm doing tightly packed carnations on the tables....I couldn't afford a more expensive flower....it's $35 a vase as it is for carnations...insane! BTW, I love your bouquet!
  17. There are a lot of us!.....Stephanie on 6/23 at the Riu and NatalieM on the 22nd at Dreams...I'm sure there are more too.
  18. I'm doing the polaroid guest book too, but I'm just going to have my brothers walk around with it, take pics and to get people to write their advice, etc. I'm afraid if I leave the book on a table with instructions that people will miss it. Sorry I don't have any suggestions for you. If I think of some I'll post.
  19. ahh Thanks Mrs. B! Maybe we'll see my wedding pics before yours!! ha ha! hope not for your sake, but JC appears to be super busy lately.

I made the design myself...well actually my brother drew our logo for us and then I designed the koozie myself. I had to go back and forth with the design department at dollar imprint about 3 times to get them the way I wanted them. Glad you like them. Thanks Jessica! I was bummed at first that the iron on transfer directly on the bag didn't look like I had hoped it would, but the end result worked out really well. I like the pocket and plan to put our welcome letter in there. The letter will stick out so that all you can see is "Welcome" in a large font that matches the writing on the pocket.
  21. Tammy~ I've already booked an aromatherapy massage....ahhh I can't wait. I'm glad I'm using Suzanne Morel after hearing your experience. I think every review I've read about Suzanne was good, so hopefully no worries there.
  22. Stephanie ~ I will certainly watch for you when we're in town. We don't have a set schedule either. Friday am I know I'm getting a massage (yay!). Kate~ I actually cut the rectangle of muslin fabric first, cut the edges with pinking shears, washed it so that the fabric would fray a little and did the iron on transfer onto the muslin. The muslin did shrink a little. I tried to cut the iron-on paper almost exactly the same size as the fabric. I put an old towel under the fabric when I ironed the transfer on. Next, I sewed the muslin square with the transfer onto a piece of brown fabric (which I also cut with pinking shears and washed to fray). After the two pieces were sewn together, I safety pinned them to the bag and sewed them on (the sewing was not an easy task...it took a few bags to get the process just right. I sewed the front and back together a few times and sewed the front to the handle a few times too, so make sure you have a seam ripper if you try this task). Thanks Courtney!
  23. Hey Jill, I bought mine online from RK Bridal find a lower price and we will beat it by 5% The dress came in about 2.5 months and was an authentic Casablanca gown. They are a large, reputable bridal store in New York and will match/beat by 5% the lowest online quote you can find.
  24. Tammy~ I'm stealing the pic, taking it the Sheraton spa and gonna see if they can make my hair look just like that for my wedding! lol In all seriousness though, your hair turned out beautiful!
