  1. Good luck with your pics this weekend Amy! I'm sure they'll turn out great!
  2. yay Christine!! how fun to actually have them in your hot little hands...looking forward to seeing more!!
  3. Tammy~ Your dress looks great! It looks like it fits you perfectly!! yay!!
  4. Looks like you had so much fun!! How many bows did you break while opening gifts? .....1 broken ribbon = 1 baby, right?
  5. I went to Italy in June about 10 years ago and it was really hot and really crowded...I think you're best to go before June to avoid the family/tourist travel season. We're doing a delayed honeymoon to Italy in late september.....tourists will hopefully be fewer then.
  6. Oh my gosh....it looks like you girls had so much fun....maybe too much fun if you were in an alley blowing chunks ... haha!! Love the pics! Bummer about the camera!! At least you had good friends with cameras who shared their pics with you!!
  7. here is the link to Sarah's http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t3567
  8. Sarah had a cute phrase on hers....something about good friends and nice breezes...let me see if I can find it.
  9. I thought about putting a fake flower at each place setting (in a napkin fold), but decided against it because they look obviously fake when you can see the wire through the stem. I also tried to wrap each stem with floral tape, but that looked worse. One idea I saw somewhere was drink umbrellas used as placecards...it was really cute. I can't remember if the names and tables were written directly on the umbrella or if there was a little sticker tag on the toothpick part...but, they were really cute.
  10. I agree. I'd hand them out before the ceremony. I'm doing something similar. I'm putting an open fan (mine are sandal wood fans) on each chair at the ceremony and a petal cone on top of it. If I were doing a program, I'd put the program on top of the fan. I'm handing mine out this way, so people can use them while it is still warmer and brighter. So, long answer If I were you I put a little thank you tag and do the place cards separately (coordinating).
  11. Yay Sarah!! Congratulations! I'm so happy that everything was just as you planned it!! Of all the things you could've forgotten a camera cable was good thing to forget! Can't wait to see the pics and read your review!! Have fun tonight trashing your dress!!
  12. My wedding is June 23rd and my ceremony is scheduled for 6:30. My thinking is that I really don't want it to be blistering hot. We're going to do some pics before the ceremony as well as some during the cocktail hour. The sun sets about 8pm, so I figured this leaves an hour for pics before the sun sets.
  13. Happy Birthday! Just think next year you get to celebrate your anniversary and birthday all in a week!! Fun! Hope your day is great!!
  14. Geez TAmmy! That is unbelievable....I hate a-holes like that guy....what a jerk! I'm so glad you guys snuck upstairs and left with a new passport...yay, now you can get to Cabo for your wedding!!
  15. Congratulations!! Can't wait to read your review and see more pics! You looked amazing!!
  16. Congrats Karla!! Can't wait to hear all about it and see your pictures! I'm sure you were a beautiful bride!
  17. I've read that if you wear make-up with sunscreen in it that it reflects the light poorly and doesn't photograph well. Here are a few articles I found that might be helpful: Make Up For Photography by Noelle Wong: The Sideroad Bob Pardue Photography - makeup tips for better pictures. 19. Simply Gorgeous!!! Can't wait to see more pics and hear about all the details! Congratulations!!!
  20. I also contacted Gilda and she sent me a cd/dvd of an entire wedding that she did. She was very responsive. I liked her work, but didn't get that overwhelming feeling of awe with her photos....I'm super picky. ...and that's just my opinion anyway. She does have some beautiful photos and was very nice. Like Tammy said, Jonathan Thrasher is photographing my wedding....his work gives me goose bumps.
  21. I voted yes... A lot of people who couldn't make it to the wedding will be there, so I plan to wear my dress for the AHR at least for a little while. I think I'll change eventually. But, I'm kinda up in the air, because I want to be more comfortable than wearing my big weding dress. okay, so change my vote to a maybe.....I guess I'm undecided....sorry, no help
