But, when we move to San Antonio in 2 weeks, I will be cooking (for myself) most nights because I need to get healthier! i love having small poker parties just so i can cook for friends...it is really fun for me.
  2. i love to cook....and move to eat more so i do all the cooking because i make what i want to eat. like last night we had a poker party and i made flatbread with spinach/feta as appetizers, then for dinner ribs with a corn and green chili casserole and arugala salad with heirloom tomatoes and white necatrines in it (i went to farmers market)...for dessert we had strawberry shortcake. hmmm...
  3. i have alot of them so maybe if it is a certian font you want, post it to see if other gals have it.

  7. she will be so excited! i'll send her an email and call her.
  8. sarah, from past reviews on these photo sites i was on, i heard the same thing...that the mypublisher books were just not as nice...but it is good to know from first hand experience especially since you are the photobook pro now.
  9. welcome to the forum...kash is right...august does get hot...
  10. Quote: Most credit card issuers charge currency conversion fees for foreign purchases made with their credit cards, debit and check cards, and ATM cash withdrawals. Over the course of your travels, that can add up to a significant increase in the cost of your vacation -- money you could save by picking the right credit card. The fees are twofold: Visa and MasterCard have a standard 1 percent charge on foreign purchases and the issuing bank adds another fee. In the chart below, the percentage shown below each credit card issuer is the total of the fees: the amount charged by the issuer, plus the charge by Visa or MasterCard for a foreign purchase. For that 1 percent fee, Visa or MasterCard converts your foreign-currency purchase to U.S. dollars. All Visa or MasterCard cards carry that 1 percent charge. The credit card issuer or bank often charges an additional fee, usually 2 percent, which adds up to a 3 percent total charge on foreign purchases. Bankrate contacted several credit card issuers and all refused to explain the reason for the charge. The percentage posted under debit- and checking-card purchases is the charge assessed by both Visa or MasterCard and the credit card issuer or bank. A fee is also assessed by each card issuer and bank for ATM cash withdrawals. ATM charges vary for each card. The table of major credit card companies and their currency-conversion-fee policies was correct as of April 2007. The data were originally collected by Bankrate researchers in October 2005. Write to [email protected] if you are aware of an update not shown here. Please note that the percentage shown includes the 1-percent charge Visa and MasterCard charge for foreign-currency conversion. capital 1 and discover do not charge this fee.
  11. the knot is known for having snarky members...there is always alot of fighting there...i think the best way to run a forum is to lead by example and have your mods follow... i know we will always have our own opinions and differences but we can do it civilly and respect each other. we are all friends here !
  12. the girls are right...the rain is very brief and in july sort of welcomed since it will be hot. even when it does rain, it stays warm...the rain sort of cleans everything up. your guests will still have a great time in cabo...it will still be warm and pool/beach weather.
  13. i spent about $5000 also see this thread: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...ss-prices.html
  14. jamy, thanks for the review...it is really important for people to know that guests staying at other resorts will have to pay a day pass fee to even get on the resrot.

I wouldn't be concerned about people being distracted from me! i have to agree with courtney on this one...we had a bunch of kids and they were fun to have at the reception and dancing around. the did not disrupt anything and it was made clear that if one of the kids did act up, they were to be taken away from the ceremony/reception but it never came to that. if you are going to make it an "adults only event" please do not be disappointed if your friends opt not to travel hundreds of miles to attend your wedding than leave their children at home...

The price they quoted for their services seems to be in line with Maye and the other coordinators I have seen. Has anyone else had bad experiences with them? they have had alot of complaints and all usually at the last minute...i will not refer them at all...they seem shady too me...i have heard of them raising prices 40% for a reception at the last minute so birde had no choice but to pay. also, they are very prompt and responsive UNTIL they get your deposit, then that is when it goes downhill. if you decide to use them be warned...tammy was using them and then fired them.
  17. i think that is a pretty good price...you are talking 6 plus people playing for you

  19. jen is right...if you choose oceana, mariana can set up the lanterns and hanging lights. if you want luminaries you will need to make your own but they are not difficult and i think add an amazing touch to the wedding.

  21. the food for the private events is really good...better than in the restuarants.
  22. i wouldn't say there is a best...they are both very different. i think cascada is better if you have a larger group and are gonna get a dj and party. oceana is good if you want a more intimate event. i had my welcome dinner as oceana and my reception as cascada terrace. some pics here: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...info-pics.html

  24. that is so funny...i actually know the band wonderbread 5...they are really good friends with my cousin and played at his wedding and grew up where i grew up. they used to play at this club in san francisco and always put me and my gfs on their guest list so we could see them. they are a really fun band...they really get the crowd moving. i have kind of a funny story about them.
