Hi! For anyone who included bubba kegs or insulated travel mugs in their welcome bags, did any of your guests encounter any issues or pushback from the bar with filling up drinks in such a large quantity at once? Just curious if these would be worth the time to order and pack and wondering if the resort is ok with these in general...

@@SoozeCruise I haven't done these for welcome bags, but I've been to lots of resorts with big insulated mugs and have never had an issue. At the last resort I remember one woman having a MASSIVE mug, and she got it refilled a lot ;) I don't think it's an issue as long as you're at an all-inclusive.

You mentioned that the styling trio came to the resort 3 time? Did you have to pay the vendor fee each time? My wedding is booked at the Riu Palace Mexico and I have just been told that I will have to pay the vendor fee each time they come. I also have a trial, wedding and TTD session. And on top of that I'll have to pay an extra vendor fee if there are more then two 2 people. Well for the wedding there will be myself, 6 bridesmaids, my mom and mother of the groom all getting their hair and makeup done. I doubt only two people can do all 9 of us.... So basically I am so frustrated with Riu right now! I just want to see if this is something all the resorts do.

Thanks! :)

Melanie

I actually didn't pay a vendor fee at all for them. My maid of honor is allergic to the makeup that the resort uses so they waived the fee for me. If they hadn't, then I still would have only had one fee- i had a meeting and walk through with my videographers as well a few days before the wedding and I didn't get charged for that either.

I'd like to have all my guests meet for a "welcome dinner" on the first day we arrive. We obviously don't want to pay extra for this, being an AI resort.. I've heard of people just telling their group to meet at the Buffet all at the same time and hoping for the best or maybe giving a nice tip to the waiters and hoping they move some tables together for you. Any suggestions on the best way to go about this? Thanks in advance! :)

I'm looking for flower suggestions for mine and my bridesmaid's bouquets. I have the Eternity Package, but don't like the examples from the wedding book. I'm not really a fan of pink flowers, but maybe some coral.. Has anyone had an all-white bouquet? I need an idea of what other options I have in the package's price range. If anyone has suggestions or could share pictures of theirs I would appreciate it!

Hi everyone!! Was initially booked for Royalton White Sands but with the CAD dollar being so low, we are looking very seriously at Now Sapphire. i got packages and pricing information from the Wedding Manager.

Just a question, we are looking to use the Divine Package, does that include open bar already? I noted in the wedding information pamphlet is says $15 per person per hour?

@vancouverpetunia  -- Did you end up bringing lights for the Pergola? I'm getting married there Nov 2016 and am having the same thought. The price the resort charges you for lights is ridiculous

@@AmandaU - My wedding's in April, so not yet! :) Not sure which post you are referring to, but hoping to get them to string some bulb string lights that I will bring under the pergola and some fairy lights along the railings. In theory the set-up fee for this is $200 total. But better than $400 per pole to string them across the terrace  :o

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
