Moon Palace 2012 Brides

Recommended Posts

Hi Lauren

I went through a local travel agency that i have been using for years. they signed a room contract on my behalf. Whenever you use an agent, you should know that they make a commision of about 15% on each booking. My agent gave up about 8% per booking so that my per night cost decreased by about $30. I think the hotel gave me rates of 360/per night per room, now its 335. WHen you add flight (depends on time of year and location) it should range from 1500-1800 pp for 7 nights. We are 4 months out now its about 1550, my guests that booked 3 months ago paid 1750, so the prices do change.

:)

Thank you so much Curly Bride. I am so surprised you are this far along. Now I feel like I am behind the power curve.

I need to move a little quicker I guess. Please keep me posted on how things are progressing and I will do the same for you.

Hello everyone!

I am trying to decide whether to get the OceanFront room or the OceanFront Concierge Room.

Does anyone know the difference between the two types, other than the short list of amenities?

Like are the rooms different sizes, in different areas of the resort? Are the amenities you get with the Concierge even worth it?

Thanks!!

Does anyone know the pricing and/or have a direct contact for JSAV?  I saw that they have a package that includes lighting.....Does anyone know what kind of lighting?  Is it the uplighting for the reception room or just lighting for where the DJ is set up?

My hubby and I were upgraded to OceanFront Concierge, but didn't really use any of the concierge amenities. We were going to use the free 15 minutes couples back massage, but since we already had so many credits, we just used our credits for the 45 minute full body massage and didn't feel like the free massage was necessary. We actually did use the free "romantic" dinner, but I don't know if that was available to us because we were concierge, or if all newlyweds got that. The room size is going to be the same either way.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
