Our at home reception is going to be very casual at our home, we have a huge pool and thought sinces its going to be in the middle of summer our guest can just bring thier swim suits and relax.  However, i would like to know how many people would be coming to know how much food, drinks, tables, chairs, etc to have.  Do you usually have them RSVP for an at home reception?  If so would i have to make different invitaions for that or have that info somewhere on our invitaions and have them RSVP then?

I think its always good to get a head count for any event you may plan, just so you have a general idea of who's coming... You want to make sure you can accomodate all of the guests. Maybe since its like a casual get together/pool party type thing....You can send out a Evite? What can be more casual than that? or you can make a fun and INEXPENISIVE invitation ( not sure how crafty you are). I think it should be seperate from the Wedding invites...

My plan is to order postcards (pre-printed with my address) and envelopes from Vistaprint where the back has a place to enter RSVP info.  So I would mail the postcard in the envelope and have postage on the postcard already. (Postcards will be free from Vistaprint with $4.99 for white envelopes but will have to pay S/H, postcard postage is $0.28 and the envelope mailing will be $0.44 = so ~$0.80-$1.00 per household)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
