What are you (or did you) Giving Your Fiance for a Wedding Present?

Recommended Posts

Schmoopies those socks are the best idea ever!! For myself, I would like absolutely anything that comes from his heart (I know, cheeesy!) and he writes the best cards... for him, I would like to make him a BD book, but I have no idea how I'll keep that a secret!!

I agree with Mrs. Griffiths- Is this something that the guys should know, or do we tell them? It's kind of silly to be like, OK we have to buy eachother something!!

- I'm not sure what I want... but I've heard other brides on here getting special wedding perfume from their grooms. But I think just a nice card with some special words between the 2 of us would be nice.

- I was thinking of getting him a watch... but I LOVE the embroidered socks idea!!! (Thanks da.shmoopies!)
I also want to do the pictures with our 'furbabies' holding signs that say: 'Will you marry our mommy today?'
Thanks amygirl! I'm getting mine from an Etsy seller (ErinBorges) if you wish to check them out for yourself.

I also don't really know what I want, except I'd really love a sweet card from him the morning of. For him, I'm really considering doing a BD album.

Da Shmoopies, I love your sock idea! Very cute!

And yeah, I don't know if a lot of guys know about this tradition. When we went to buy our wedding bands, the sales associate was talking about different possibilities of gifts to get one another. The FI had no idea lol.

from him, I would love a nice card and I've hinted at some diamond earrings! lol

I think I'll be getting him a new pair of Oakley sunglasses. He always wears these cheap things, so I think he would really appreciate that!

Btw, my FI had NO IDEA that we should buy each other gifts...lol MEN!!!! gotta love 'em cheesy.gif

I actually did a BD book for him, but I never actually gave it to him. I kind of got cold feet after I did it and now I dont really like it. It's still hiding at the bottom of one of my dresser drawers collecting dust. Hah.

I would have gotten him a watch, since he's a watch freak like most other guys are, but the turd bought himself yet another watch like a month before we left for the wedding. Gah. He always buys himself the exact present I was going to get him at birthdays and Christmas.

So in the end we decided not to get each other anything. I figured I was present enough for him... LOL

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
