Hi everyone,

I'm living in Brooklin and we are booked at Grand Xcaret in Riviera Maya for this June, very excited!! Thankfully, we got engaged at this resort in November and had a chance to talk to the wedding consultant while we were there and scope out the locations.

Can't wait to get to know everyone and swap tips! Enjoy your planning?

Jaime

Hi girls,

I'm from Manitoba getting married in February of 2014.  Yep, I know it's soooo far off.  lol

I'm looking in the mayan riviera and the Azul Sensatori has looked the best to me so far.

What kind of prices are you girls getting so far.  Seems like anywhere from 1700 to 2000??

We just offically put out deposit down with the TA today.  We got $1460 (all--in) from Edmonton for Grand Sirenis is the Mayan. I think you're going to find that you're too early to get any really good rates.  We were told a year out was really soon too, luckily she did find something for us.  You may have to wait until 2013 when they start releasing some better packages.

Hi Ladies,

Fellow Canadian here. Getting married next year in Mexico. All I have to say is thank god most of my relatives live on US border cities or people would flip at the cost of flying out of Canada. Simply ridiculous how much more it is to get out of Toronto then Detroit.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
