Thanks for all the information. The scripts are beautiful and the photos are great! We're trying to decide if we should do the sand ceremony. I am worried about transporting the items back after the wedding.

We just got back from our wedding. My wedding cordinator actually wrapped the sand ceremony up with bubble wrap and packaging tape. (my sand ceremony also came with a cork) and we put it in our carry on. When we went through customs in mexico, they did make us unwrap it to see what it was. After they looked at it the used duct tape and put it back together and told us we are all set.

Did you buy sand or use sand from the beach at your destination?

I have bought sand to match my wedding colours.  I do plan on taking a very small amount for the the first layer. But I am pretty sure you are not allowed to bring sand home from the beach!

Okay I am doing a sand ceremony and have go light blue/ turquoise sand to match our colours but I was just going to use sand off the beach for the other colour. Do you think I will have a problem doing this, I mean how will they know that i brought it or I took it from the beach?
