Well they only do 2 weddings a day max so they probably just wanted to you be a decent time ahead or after me.  I dont think it matters where the ceremony is.  But I'm still excited you'll be there the same time as me.  I may have to peek in on your ceremony, but i promise i won't be a gawker and make it weird/uncomfortable!!

That explains it, I thought the 1.5hr wait between the ceremonies might be because they were at the same locations, but I'm happy they do that though so it doesn't feel like a wedding factory :)

Hahaha, you're welcome to peek in! I just wrote you in the Now thread asking when you get there, to see if you would be there when I get married ;)

Yes, you do. Nicola from the UK is getting married at Riu on May 6th. I think she is on this thread, if not, she is on the "Any April 2011 brides?" thread. You probably have more twins on here as well since it is a Friday.

I have my wedding band, but we still need to get one for FI. I have designed the STDs but not ordered them yet.

JR14, where in Panama are you getting married? We were considering Panama for a little while there.

If it makes you feel any better I'm far behind too.....resort is booked, but still waiting to book airfare, invites sent, photographer booked, real touch flowers ordered, and OOT bags purchased. And that's it, lol. My biggest stress right now is finding a dress!! Once I get that done, I'll feel much better.

Oh, you are way ahead compared to me :) I do have the date confirmed, and I think I will feel more at ease after I have sent the STDs. I should probably send invites right away instead, but I want to do my own passport invites and that will take longer than ordering postcard STDs from Vistaprint :) Need to get the word out there since we have no idea how many people are coming.

My hang up is on waiting to hear back from people on who is coming.  I feel like I can't do much else.  I have purhased a dress that I no longer plan to wear so I am still on the hunt.  Basically know what I want.  I sent out STD's the at the end of May.  I plan to send out my invitations in January and likely wont get a number on people until Feb.  I have orders some fans.  Other than that....nothing.  I have all this contact info for photographers and florists and feel like its too early to proceed.

I feel the same way about photographer since I don't have a certain one I want yet, if I did I would probably try to book them now because it seems as the most popular ones (at least in the Riviera Maya) are already booked for May.

I have only looked at dresses online, but I guess I will have to step that up :) Today's project is STDs and to send the deposit in to the resort.

Most of our guests will not book until next year I'm afraid so I will be in your shoes even after sending out the STDs I'm sure.

Well thank you :)  I guess I do have a decent amount done....it's just the dress that is really stressing me out.

I would definitely start looking at photographers and get one booked. It seems the good ones get booked early! It's definitely not too early too proceed. Same thing with flowers. I'm not sure if you are doing real touch flowers, but I know I made my deposit in April and the vendor I'm using was already booked thru the end of Feb for next year!

Well.. I see there are many May 28th B2B out there!!  Hey guys!!thewave.gif

WOW!  Many of you ladies have done sooo much!  I feel so behind.  I sent out my STD's in April and I am now completing my invitations (they are actually sprawled over the table waiting for finishing touches).  I didnt plan on dress shopping until January... do you think that's too late?  I do know that I will probably pick from the Maggie line but I am not sure yet.  Can't really tell until I try some on.

We've booked at GPJ and I cannot wait.  Other fellow GPJ brides here have made me feel at ease!!  I won't be visiting the site before the big date so I was very nervous.  I have a ton of plans but haven't sat down and actually did any planning.

We plan on staying at GPJ for 7 nights and then going to another resort for our honeymoon either in Montego Bay or Negril.  Any suggestions on that would be very helpful.

I thought Maggie's could take 6 to 9 months or more to come in....IDK, maybe I'm wrong? That's why I'm so stressed about the dress thing....in my head I had set the beginning of Oct as my deadline for ordering a dress because I wanted to make sure I had enough time for it to be made. Does anyone know the average time needed for ordering a Maggie? (or any other dress for that matter)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
